ā€‹ā€‹ā€‹ā€‹ā€‹ā€‹ā€‹Purple House in Port A has 4 Bedrooms and 2 Baths. Downstairs BR1 King Bed and BR2 has 2 Twin beds, Bathroom. Upstairs BR3- 2 Queen Beds, BR4- has 1 Twin and 1 Double, 1 Futon in the living room. Sleeps 11 Comfortably. Has WIFI (Dog Friendly)

The Purple House is a two-story home with a large, shaded fenced yard, with front and back decks with outdoor seating under the pergola & a charcoal grill. This house is great for a large family. Conveniently located close to all downtown activities and beach area. The bottom level entry opens to a sitting area where 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a laundry room can be found. (BR1) is a master with a king-size bed, wall-mounted TV, chest for your beach attire, and a bench at the foot of the bed. (BR2) has 2 Twin beds and access to the back deck through a sliding glass door. The shared hallway bath consists of 2 single vanities and a separate tile stand-alone shower. The washer and dryer are tucked neatly in a hall closet. Upstairs, this home has a large open living area with plenty of seating, wall-mounted TV, cable and Wi-Fi, a balcony to sip your morning coffee, a dining table with seating for 6, additional seating for two at the bar, and a full kitchen to meet your cooking needs with basic dishes, pots, pans, and utensils. (BR3) is a large room with 2 Queen beds and (BR4) is equipped with a Full-size bed and a Twin bed. These rooms share a hallway bath with a tub/shower combination. There is ample parking for 3-4 cars or a truck/trailer with a watercraft or golf cart.

The property was in a good neighborhood, as always with Port Aransas. I believe it must be between remodels, however. The downstairs was great, and you could tell it had been fixed up, but the upstairs was very dated and the furniture and cabinets were needing some love. There were pieces of the peel and stick wall covering missing, cabinet doors hanging off the hinges, etc. (pictured) Not a bad property, but not top notch, as Iā€™ve come to expect from Life In Paradise properties.

Great location near everything

The house was large and spacious. It is near all the downtown activities and not too far from the beach. It has a very nice large fenced yard, and a lovely deck space. It is on a very busy street so traffic noise is a thing. Had a very strong unusual odor during our stay, like they were covering something up with a deodorant. The house was up for sale at the time. The staircase inside is dangerously low, you have to be careful or you will bump your head, which several of us did lol. The downstairs bathroom is spacious with a nice shower, but poorly lit, partially due to some lights being out. Overall a good value for money, especially for a larger group.

Purple house

The house is about 4 blocks from the beach. It is nice and close to golf cart rentals and supermarket. The only thing, not enough cookware. Not enough glasses. The kitchen is functional.

SUPER CUTE

Really cute house in an amazing location, plenty of space for our family of 8. Spacious backyard, ample parking, quiet neighbors, close to Ave G and to dollar general for all of those last minute needs. The property management company was very quick to respond to any questions. We will definitely be back!

This house was in amazing location from the beach and for fishing. The house is very clean inside and spacious. The only downside is having to leave and go home at the end of our stay.

The property was good except for the inside stairs. A banister is definitely needed at the bottom and the one for the top part of the stairs needs to be extended further up.

Purple house stay

The stay is fine the house is a little older some updates could be made but overall it was OK. The futon is broken but this was reported to the office as soon as we got there hopefully that gets fixed the location is great. Having to grills outside and I really need help came in very handy especially because they are big grills a very good plus.

House pest and mold

Once we walked in there were several dead roaches and live ones too. The cleaning company never moved the furniture so there were lots of old food under everything. Also in the upstairs room withe the 1 full and 1 twin beds had lots of mold growing in the closet. Almost all the lamps were broken. And dryer had broken knobs.

Too much money for old Dilapidated house

This house was overpriced & in poor condition. There were holes in the wall, rotted wood around windows, broken windows, small dangerous stairs with low overhang inside the house, and brittle & warped bathtub on second floor.

To whom it may concern: We recently stayed at the Purple House in Port Aransas. When we arrived, the house smelled overwhelmingly musty. It was hard to breathe so we had to open several windows. We also found that the ceiling fan light over the dining room table did not turn on and the bird lamp in the living room was broken. There were sugar ants in the kitchen and the freezer would not properly close. The ceiling fans had thick layers of dust on them and the ceilings were so dirty with dust coming through the air vents. I'm sure the air filters haven't been changed in quite some time. There was dust on the walls everywhere. For someone with asthma and allergies, this was not a pleasant stay. Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great and the past reviews weā€™re pretty decent so we decided to book this house as a family vacation. We stayed 3 nights and we were pretty disappointed. First of all, the backyard smelled so bad (Dog waste) that we really didnā€™t utilize it as much as we wanted. Then there were so many ants around and inside the house (especially the kitchen and living room). Lastly on the second day, we noticed there was a leak in our room coming from upstairs! I donā€™t know if it was from the dishwasher or the restroom upstairs but it got worse as the day went on. We called the office to let them know about the issues and they said someone would come and look at it. Well no one did! We complain at the office while returning our keys and they said that there was nothing they could do. They didnā€™t even apologize, I do not recommend this location.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property met expectations so there are no complaints with amenities and location. We were not expecting the 'ant problem' in the kitchen; we awoke to hundreds of them on the dog food, and produce we brought along. I'm not sure if that just comes with the territory of Port A, or if that is something that could be mitigated with a more aggressive pest control program.

First stay at a rental house

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location of the house was good. The traffic at Station St and Ave G was terrible. They need a red light. The house was good. The dryer may need a little work took some time to dry items. It needs to be spray for roaches also. The furniture was nice. The ice maker did not work and was not told.
