Loved our stay

The home is charming and conveniently located to the beach and downtown. The owners live next door, and were happy to help when we couldn’t get the dryer working. It was well stocked and we loved our stay!

"Good Vibrations"

Manzanita is reminiscent of California beaches circa 1970.The town itself is very laidback, and the beaches are uncrowded and overall, clean. Our property was a little off the beaten path, but only minutes from the "main drag." The rental itself, was clean, well appointed, and all mechanicals in perfect working order. Highly recommended.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall it was a great place to stay. The place was very dog friendly and the owners next door were very nice! The kitchen was pretty well stocked, but could use some culling of duplicate items in the pantry to allow for more space for storing food. Walk to the beach and town was very short and we hardly used our car. The place is somewhat remodeled, but still has some older cabinets. Bed linens and pillows could use a replacement as they seemed pretty old.

What more can you ask for in Manzanita. We had a great stay. The kitchen is open and has all the basics to cook (our group was 5 people). They had puzzles for rainy days. Everything worked well in the house. We all liked the layout too with kids room private and an entry to keep the sand contained. The bed in master was lovely. The couches in the living room are a little tired (uncomfortable because all the cushions are stretched out or worn out). Thank you for a great stay!

Great Beach Cottage!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a lovely time at Blue Heaven! The updated kitchen was great and well stocked with pots/pans and we were able to make several meals there. We loved that it was so close to the beach and having a washer/dryer as well was really helpful too. We were a little bummed that there was no firepit (it was listed as an amenity), but the outside sitting area was a nice place to enjoy coffee and a book. There were a few areas that could use a little love (there were holes in the ceiling in the bunk room above the top bunk) but all in all, a great cottage, and we loved that it was so close to Laneda Ave.

Very unequipped kitchen, very uncomfortable furniture and the 3rd room with bunks smelled like pee! Sorry but I’ll never stay here again.

Oh no. We are so sorry you did not enjoy your stay. We have never had anyone complain about a pee smell in the bunk room before. We will address this immediately. We will also inventory the kitchen and see what is needed. We will reach out to you directly to get a list of what you feel is missing. This is also the first complaint regarding the furniture so I am not sure if it is just personal preference or if it needs updating. We will check on that as well. We do appreciate feedback and want to improve the experieince of all our guests in our homes.

They are very kind and luckily had some rentals available.

Nice Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cute home, well located in a quiet area, close to town and beach. House could use a little attention, like grout in bathroom and especially the electrical outlets—poorly positioned, with loose plates and plugs just fall out of some. Recommend bringing an extension cord or two. Generous with towels - I have three girls with lots of hair, so that was a plus. And good selection of cookware; better than average! House could be more thoroughly cleaned, but it wasn’t bad. One single bed mattress really needs replacing and internet comes and goes unpredictably, which isn’t typical tour experiences in Manzanita.

Cozy house in a great location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented a couple times a year in Manzanita for about 25 years. This is the first time we’ve stayed at this house. It fit our needs well—close to town and the beach, takes dogs, has enough rooms and bathrooms for our group. It has been modestly updated, retaining that “beach cabin” charm while proving clean, modern amenities. It’s sometimes hard to find a house like this that accepts dogs.Some things to be aware of: the bunk bed room is in a converted garage space, along with the laundry room and a mud room-type entrance. The door to the bunk room is a sliding barn door. The wall heaters work fine but it has a bit of a cold feeling to it.The Murphy bed was REALLY comfortable, but some of the other mattresses are due for replacement. The kitchen is lightly appointed with the basics. What’s in the kitchen is cute and the little pantry is so adorable, but you’ll want to think about and bring with you anything you need for food, drinks you’re bringing from home. Huge stove with giant burners but a tiny, sweet little kettle. There is a Keurig machine and a four-cup French press, but no regular coffee maker. Luckily I brought my own beans and grinder and just made several French press pots. With that said, I would stay here again! The furniture was comfortable, the coffee table worked for our puzzles, the banquette sat all of us, the mud room made coming and going easy, and there were hooks everywhere for hanging things.We had to call the management because the WiFi password didn’t work, but they texted back right away and got the new password from the owner of the house within a few minutes. We were very happy with their responsiveness.
