You're looking at the only floating home in Olympia available for short term rental! It is a newly remodeled little slice of paradise, with everything you need to have a memorable, unique and comfortable stay. Proudly docked at WestBay Marina - a few minutes away from Downtown Olympia and The Capitol. You'll have access to all of finest offerings while having a sweet little hideout to come home to at night. One of Olympia's famous restaurants -Tugboat Annie's is located in the same marina.
The space
Enjoy viewing The Capitol from the comfort of the bedroom in the morning or get mesmerized by the city lights at night. Either way you win. Everything in the floating house was remodeled in 2021 and it make the place as cozy and comfortable as it can be.
The space features a large bedroom and outdoor deck space upstairs and an open living area at the main floor. It has an modern cozy kitchen with a brand new fridge, cabinets, hot plate and all utensils. It has a cozy real shower cover in tiles and it has a large RV type toilet.
The hot water tank is electric & hosts 15 gallons of hot water, plenty of hot water for medium length shower.
Bed is queen sized and very comfortable and each floor has it's own electric fire pit heater. From the queen size bed and from the couch downstairs you can enjoy the views of the water from the two beautiful Romeo&Juliet balconies.
It is hooked up with high-speed wifi and cable TV. The outdoor deck space is just fabulous facing with beautiful views of The Capitol, Olmypia and Puget Sound.
Perfect for sitting out and drinking your coffee in the morning or watching the sunset sipping a glass of wine.
There is free parking in the marina parking lot.
Guest access
Parking is available in the marina parking lot. There are always plenty of spaces. Accessing the house boat is by walking the dock and passing a locked gate.
Other things to note
There is absolutely no swimming or floating at the marina.

Great Floating Home

Had a great overnight getaway. The floating home is small but well stocked and appointed. The upper level deck is a great place to sit and enjoy the awesome view of Olympia and the Puget Sound.

Fabulous floating home

Very beautiful house boat in the heart of Olympia, the southern most part of the Puget Sound. Charming and close to so many sights in the capital of WA. Would highly recommend.

Very comfy lodging and we slept so well. The property host was very responsive to our questions. While this is no reflection on the floating house, the marina was a bit run down.

Under promised, Over delivered! 10/10 stay

The pics absolutely do not do this place justice. Chris is an amazing host, and helped us out with a last minute change of plans. This is a really nice houseboat, and the highlight of our trip. It was clean and well stocked with amenities. We traveled to Olympia with another family who was staying at a rental nearby and they were so jealous when they saw where we got to stay... We truly had an awesome time sitting on the roof watching all the jellyfish. The neighbors are all so friendly and helpful, and having a good restaurant on site was a huge bonus. The bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up!

Magical stay

What a delightful gem! Beautifully decorated, fully stocked kitchen, wine and beer available (just leave some cash to cover), amazing views. My teenager slept soundly on the foam mattress on the couch and I loved the soft sheets and mattress upstairs. We will come back!

Cute Houseboat.

Property is basically as advertised. Well stocked and clean. Itā€™s a 10min drive to most activities in town but there is a restaurant located in the Marina. The bathroom is downstairs from the bedroom with a tall staircase to navigate in the middle of the night, but there is a darling deck off the bedroom with fun outdoor lights for a nice evening.

Homey Houseboat

Loved staying at this super well decorated and comfortable houseboat!! Waking up to the view of the state capital building across the bay was super magical and if I was cooking instead of eating out the kitchen was very well outfitted for any/all my cooking needs. Would definitely stay here again and again!!

We loved this houseboat so much that we altered our plan to visit Mt. Rainier so we could hang out on the boat for a few days. The live aboards at the marina are very friendly and eager to be helpful. Highly recommend!

Wanted to stay longer

We only booked one night there...but after one night, we wished we could have been there longer. The bed was SOOOO comfortable and surprisingly enough, the bedroom was spacious. The living/kitchen area was spacious too with everything needed for a longer stay. Our only gripe was that the one night we were there it rained so we couldn't sit out under the stars. "Darn You Washington weather!"

Ridiculous

Got to dock, gate locked, no key, got into dock area by neighbor but no boat slip number to find boat. Called host...no response. We to VRBO chat and after 20 minutes could not reach host so tld to call custmer service. On phone with CS for 50 minutes. Prmised refund and key $$$ but then could not process refund..no help. Still unresolved.

Charming, Cozy, Happy Vibes :)

I really can't say enough good things about this place. I loved the downstairs, I loved the upstairs. This boat just feels good the minute you see it and walk through the door. I could have stayed forever. The location is wonderful. The downstairs couch is so comfortable I slept on that as well as sleeping upstairs in the very comfortable bed. I definitely plan to come stay again, Olympia is also such a fun place. The people I met on the marina were all very kind and welcoming as well. I met a number of cute happy dogs walking along with their humans on the docks. Wonderful way to end a long road trip.

Mommy trip

Took my daughter here on our mommy date. Honestly, I think this place was better than what the picture looked like. So fun to stay in the houseboat. Our favorite part was the patio. The shower is also fun with the colorful lights when itā€™s turned on. Itā€™s also nice that it has parking. The only negative thing to note is the dock walking from parking to the house has holes in it. Not a big deal but something to be aware of. I should say the other negative is not staying another night! Would love to come back and stay a weekend.
