Lakefront Luxury Log Cabin on Payette Lake – Private Dock

This beautiful 5BR/4.5BA luxurious waterfront vacation retreat, overlooking Payette Lake, offers 7,200 sq. ft. of incomparable living space and is located only two miles (5 minutes) from downtown McCall.

The minute you enter the door you will fall in love with this incredible lakefront home with its breathtaking views and beautiful surroundings. Newly remodeled in 2009, this home has 100’ of lakefront access, its own private dock and plenty of space inside and out for a tremendous family vacation.

Luxury in every sense of the word describes this incredible two-story waterfront home and guest house.

The first level of this incredible home with it’s spacious floor plan features the living, dining and kitchen area, as well as a half bath. The living area offers a massive stone fireplace, a flat screen TV and several leather couches and oversized leather chairs that will seat all your guests. The area on the first floor is highlighted by beautiful views through windows all around. Several glass french doors open to two separate furnished patios overlooking the lake and the surrounding mountains. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped and features granite counter tops, Sub Zero & Viking appliances, as well as wine storage.

The lower level offers a master suite and master bathroom featuring a walk-in shower, soaker tub, two sinks and huge walk-in closet. Also on this level is a bedroom that consists of three sets of bunk beds, bean bags and a flat screen for all the kids. The second bathroom on this level has a walk-in steam shower and two sinks. The laundry room for this house is on this level.

The loft bedroom features a king bed and its bathroom has a walk-in shower and two sinks.
The guest house has one bedroom with a king bed and the other bedroom has two sets of bunk beds. Both rooms have tremendous lake views from the patio. The bathroom consists of a tub/shower and two sinks. There are also laundry facilities in the guest house.

This is the perfect place for long-lasting memories. Not only is the house warm, comfortable and spacious, it offers some of the most beautiful views you have ever seen all within minutes of downtown McCall. Surrounded by beautiful mountains and lakes this area offers plenty of fun activities for the entire family. There is the marina, shopping, coffee houses, gourmet and home-style restaurants, water or winter sports all within downtown McCall.

Our favorite home on the lake.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this classic McCall home right on Payette Lake! The house was spacious, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing and fun-filled vacation with family and friends. The private dock was perfect for swimming, boating, or just enjoying the peaceful lake views with a morning coffee or evening glass of wine.There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and feel comfortable, and the home’s charm and warmth made it feel like a true getaway. A big thank you to the property manager for her excellent communication. She is quick to respond to any questions and made sure our stay was smooth from start to finish.We highly recommend this home to anyone looking for the perfect lakefront escape in McCall. We’re already dreaming about our next visit. Can’t wait to come back!

Something Special

There truly is something special about this beautiful home. We had friends, kids and grandparents visit during out time and never ran out of room in this beautiful home. Watching evening sunsets from the deck became the daily norm. The driveway is steep. If you're there with a boat, suggest first parking the boat elsewhere and taking a good look at the driveway before attempting. Thank you again to the amazing host and his property assistant. Communication was always prompt. Looking forward to coming back next year.

Property is Spectacular But Difficult To Access

The property is in a spectacular location however if I had known that you had to go down 40 extremely steep narrow steps to access the home I would not have rented it. We had planned on my wife’s parents joining us for the Christmas holiday but we had to tell them to stay home because it would have been impossible for my wife’s dad to get down the steps much less back up. Hauling a weeks worth of food and winter clothing down to the house and back up when we departed was an ordeal. We had to use space heaters in the downstairs bedrooms and bath to get the room temps above 60 degrees. One day the fireplace would not draft and the main room filled with smoke we opened windows and doors and used fans to ventilate the room. The local property manger came out and climbed on the roof and removed a screen that allowed the chimney to draw correctly. We spent 4 hours sitting in the great room in winter coats waiting for the smoke to clear (we sent my wife and daughters and infant granddaughter up the the room above the garage to escape the smoke). Truthfully for what we paid if I had the opportunity to do it again I would just reserve 4 rooms at Shore Lodge for the week.

Fantastic property and location

Great house for gathering, limited sleeping in the main house but plenty of room with the addition of the apartment above the garage. Steep stairs but not a problem for us.

Fabulous lake front home!

Our family spent a great week with two other families in this home in beautiful McCall ID. Lots of room for everybody and places for the teens to hang out. The kitchen was well appointed and the furnishings very nice. Great decks for outdoor dining and a good BBQ (not always the case with VRBO homes). The highlight for us was the water front - great dock for the boat we brought and ez-ports for the jet skis we rented for a few days. Renters should be aware that the home does not have a/c, but good open door and window management makes the home comfortable. There are also lots of stairs with this property that would make it tough for guests with mobility issues. over all a beautiful home in a beautiful setting. We already booked a week for next August!

We spent a week with our children and their families. 13 of us in all.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in McCall. The property was nice and roomy and had everything we needed. The great room is huge! The boat doc was perfect for fishing and big enough to for a 24’ pontoon boat and 2 jet skis. Just a short drive to town for ice cream, shopping, etc. The only criticism we had was that the home maintenance needs are catching up with the property and there aren’t any screens on the doorways to the outside which need to be left open to keep it from getting too warm in the house. The owner was responsive to some minor fixes that we needed while staying there.

we love this place!

This was our 3rd time vacationing in this home and we love it. It is in a stunningly beautiful part of the lake and the home is incredible. We have a group of 12 stay for over 2 weeks and there is plenty of space for everyone, the kitchen is fantastic and the dining table seats 10 easily and definitely squeezed all 12 a few of our nights! A few reviewers have commented on the heat and lack of air conditioning-we have stayed all over the lake in McCall and have never had a house with air conditioning. This particular trip was very hot and the loft bedroom upstairs does get quite warm. There are big fans throughout the house that we had pumping all the time. The downstairs bedrooms and the apartment over the garage were very comfortable all day and all night. We were very impressed with the Property Managers promptness to bring replacement propane, to clear out birds from the chimney and to repair the Wi-Fi. Our son happened to break his leg while we were there and the property manager helped get him up the stairs (there are a lot of stairs here-38 exactly to get from the front door of the house to the driveway) and also checked in with us throughout the rest of our stay. This is one of the premier rental properties on the lake and we will stay here every summer. It is a special place.

Beautiful Cabin With A Couple of Downsides

This is a beautiful cabin on the lake, very comfortable as advertised. However, the owners should let potential renters know that there is NO air conditioning here. In the summer months that means the cabin is 80 degrees in the afternoon/evening. They have placed large fans next to windows, but they do not cool down the interior. Also, the garage & guest house sit high above the main cabin - you have to traverse a steep & long outdoor staircase containing about 40 large concrete steps to get from one to the other.
