July 4th Poipu

Perfect place for myself and 4 friends for a week. Great location on the island, close to most activities. 5-10 minute walk to 3 different beaches. Great place for a great price.

Great Location and Condo

We love the area where the beach was walking distance and a local town nearby made shopping easier. Just a couple of complaints, no ceiling light in master bedroom, no curtain in upstairs bedroom to block the morning sun, and wish they had a walk-in shower. It was hard for us older folks to get in and out. No big deal really. I would stay againā€™

Wonderful location and great family vacation.

Great location! Grounds are beautiful and a nice walk to the beach. Was a little warm in the loft without A/C, but we asked for an extra fan and the property manager brought one right away. Evenings cooled down very nicely with the trade winds. Service from Parrish was super - very responsive and communicative. Would stay here again.

Beautiful setting, easy walk to the beach

Regency at Poipu Kai is wonderful! Very clean and neat, and the landscaping was beautiful. It had everything we needed. The short walk to the beach was a plus.

Family vacation

This location was awesome, grounds are beautiful, condo is roomy and clean. Pretty out dated, needs paint or trim but itā€™s clean so didnā€™t bother us. No ac was not a problem, coolā€™s down at night, plenty of fans for everyone. Would stay here again.

Needs updated

Good: spacious and good location with a short walk to beaches. Beach chairs, cooler, and beach towels (although I had to call for those) were provided. Not so good: this unit is in need of major updates. The refrigerator has a hard time keeping things cold. Furniture is worn down and dated. Family room furniture is not comfortable to relax on at all. Shower was not clean, leftover wash cloth still in it from last guests. Dirt stains and wear are visible in both showers. No AC wasn't a problem until the pool guy shows up every morning at 530 outside of rooms and moves chairs around and starts cleaning. Woke me every morning and had to close sliding door. He has a job to do, just unfortunate it's right outside bedroom windows.This unit needs some serious love and attention to make it more relaxing and welcoming.

Great Location

The highlight of this stay for us (4 adults, 2 kids) was the location. It is a short walk down a path to Brenneckeā€™s beach and Poipu beach. This is a really nice area to stay in. The unit itself is spacious and includes all the necessary amenities but could probably use some updating. Overall, we would recommend staying here.

Better than the pictures!

We we're pleasantly surprised to see the condo was so much nicer in reality than the pictures presented. The condo was very clean the furniture. The furniture was so much nicer then the pictures indicated. The walk to the beach was as easy as it could be. The Landscaping in the complex was almost surreal feeling. So much Greenery! The only noise in the complex was the beautiful birds outside our windows. I would definitely stay there again. could be being less than 10 minutes

Our first time to Kauai! From the pictures I could tell it was older, but we were going for the location, not to hang out in the condo all day. We loved the location! And a short drive to good places to eat and shops. The beds, linens and towels are good. The unit needs an update and /or deep clean, not all electrical outlets work well, even the ceiling fans sometimes stopped temporarily. The bathtub I wouldnā€™t use, only for shower, wasnā€™t looking great. Theres no a/c so fans were on and windows open. I liked being on the 2nd floor I felt safe to leave a sliding door open with screen in evening (the locks on sliders and slider door are hit and miss if they want to work ). The unit has a parking space, boogie boards, a couple beach chairs, cooler and umbrellas and the unit has 6 beach towels. The staff was in communication throughout the stay with text, letting me know when unit was ready, making sure we didnā€™t need anything, and check out instructions. I did text them when someone was in my parking place and when the bathroom door had an issue, they were attentive and handled everything quickly! The grounds are beautiful and clean, we enjoyed pickleball and tennis (for a fee, have weekly or daily rates). Overall we really enjoyed our stay!

Great spot!

This was a great spot to stay. It felt a little farther from Poipu Beach but only because we have stayed at spots closer. Quiet and well appointed, it was perfect for my family and I (husband, two college boys)

Family reunion frm canada and Australia

The unit is welcoming and very comfortable. A positive was the lovely balconies over the pool and we enjoyed using the BBQs. However, the volume of noise from the pool is high so if you have a low tolerance for happy screaming - beware. Also, we were entertained by watching many small children- with nappys and shoes on- crowd the hot tub for hours underneath the sign saying "No children under 14 years".

Kauai vacation

The property is in a great location. Unfortunately, we arrived during a period of next to no wind so it did get pretty hit in the condo during the day. The fans definitely helped and it always cooled down at night!

Relaxing Vacation

Enjoyed our week long stay here! A couple issues were handled very promptly & it was easy to communicate with management. Do not forget to put your parking pass on your dash or you will get a warning ticket from the association as we found out, lol, our welcome, haha I saved it for scrapbook. Property was great, close to pool, people were quiet after 10pm. Even without AC, it was bearable with the fans supplied. Very roomy condo!! Had everything we needed. My family missed having AC but we tolerated it and it didnā€™t ruin our trip. Nice touches with the toiletries supplied as well as the beach towels/equipment. I guess it can be seen by some as dated or worn out but it didnā€™t bother me at all. My husband was able to lock the sliding door that had difficulty locking, he just played with it a bit but it did lock. It was very convenient to have a washer/dryer inside the unit also! What a great place to stay! Thanks for the opportunity!

Great Location But Has Been Neglected for Too Long!

The location and amenities are ideal, lots of room for a family or multiple couples. Condo was well equipped however many items clearly well-used and in need of replacement/repair. Multiple lightbulbs burned out. Lanai sliding door does not lock. The blinds in secondary bedroom were completely broken which we called on the first day. Lots of disrepair such as broken tiles and multiple shades of paint where some older repairs had been made. Well equipped with equipment for your beach days. The washer and dryer are another issue. Washer smells like a "port-a-potty". The dryer left the linens smelling like they were burned by the dryer and the smell was unpleasant enough to the point where the towels were unusable. Property management was not that great at communicating. Responses were late and then they never followed through. Overall it was a good unit but needs some MAJOR love and attention. Time for the owners to bite the bullet and do some updating. Looking at reviews from January and some issues have still not been fixed in April.

Great Stay in Poipu

We enjoyed our stay, finding all as described within the condo unit. Dedicated parking spot was a plus. The location is convenient to beaches, restaurants, shopping and attractions of the south end of Kauai. Mahalo Anne and Ben for your excellent customer service!

Lots of room, but in need of some TLC!

The location and amenities are ideal, lots of room for a family or multiple couples. Condo was well equipped however many items clearly well used and in need of replacement/repair (dull knives, broken blender etc.), lanai light did not work, lanai sliding door required lots of fiddling to lock every time as well the blinds in "children's" bedroom were completely broken as well as the screens so we got quiet a few visiting bugs and creatures (geckos) and subsequent bug bites. Lots of disrepair such as broken tiles, mold on shower doors (note: sliding bath doors very challenging to bath/shower kids), and build up on sinks/tubs/facets. Pool side only plastic dishes allowed however only plastic glasses provided, no plates etc. Well equipped for kiddos (pack and play, booster seat., umbrella stroller etc.). Property management was great at communicating with issues (chirping fire alarm). Overall it was a good unit but needs some love and attention.
