Newly remodeled, ON THE BEACH! OCEAN FRONT HOME ON PRISTINE SANDY WHITE BEACHES Spectacular views, best sunsets!

WE are located on the northern tip of the island... on a pristine white sandy beach overlooking the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico known as "Rum Point". There are 4 acres of private undeveloped land to the back of the property filled with tropical birds and trails... this makes our home very private and quiet!!!
To the front of our home is the Gulf of Mexico, just 10 steps and you can walk right in to turquoise waters!
Once you arrive at the dock, you will be directed to your golf cart which will be your island transportation during your stay, our island has no cars, only lushly lined sandy trails and golf carts! The property is a short 5 minute golf cart ride from the dock. Once you get settled into Rainbows End, you can explore the island with the furnished golf cart, or you can just relax and enjoy this magical beach house and the privacy it offers.
When traveling to a barrier island a beach front rental is really a must! The rhythmic sound of waves softly crashing just feet from your dinner table, spectacular sunsets from the porch or the beach, walk directly into the sparkling waters of the Gulf at any time, watch dolphins swim off your front porch most any day!
The island also offers miles of nature trails for hiking and exploring, over 600 acres of Federal Wildlife Preserve is one of the islandā€™s many treasures. Miles of pristine and un-populated beaches, and depending on wind directionā€¦always a calm beach to enjoy somewhere on the island.
North Captiva Island is a true offshore island, boat or plane access only, golf carts and bicycles on sandy trails vs cars and roads, yet all the conveniences of shore. The island has about 300 home owners, 4 bars/restaurants, a popular pool bar & grill, marina grill, small convenience store, guided fishing and boating tours, gift shop, boat rentals, grocery deliveries, etc. Once you arrive, you wonā€™t want or need to leave!
Ferries run throughout the day, 20 minute boat ride, you can leave almost anytime, you just wonā€™t want to! Also daily tour boats depart for island hopping, dolphin watching and grocery runs.

This property was amazing. Very clean and comfortable. Any issues we had were quickly resolved by the team at Tortuga Properties.

Great location, right on the beach, very private,just an occasional shell collector walking by. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen but sparse spices, no condiments.No cars on island, everyone has a golf cart. The one with this house was in need of repairs though useable for daytime.No real market on island, therefore lug all your groceries on the ferry or engage one of the wildly expensive concierge shopper services. Only two bar grills open when we were there.Nice pool and hot tub open to public at Safety Harbor Club.

While we had a nice time. We would not return to this house. The house has great potential but it was not clean. I swept dark hair out of the corners of the bathroom, molded coffee grounds in the coffee maker, dirty grill and hundreds of dead fruit flies covering the counter. The golf cart was terrible. And we didnā€™t find any kayaks, hammock or beach chairs as the property shows in the listing. The beds were uncomfortable. However, the kitchen appliances were nice, the screened in porch was great. Location was fantastic. I was expecting ā€œexceptionalā€ per the reviews and it fell short. Definitely could get there. The property management was great and quick to respond when needed.

Perfect Location!!

Loved our stay. Will come back next year. Home nicely updated, we had everything we needed. Only cons were the golf cart needed some care and some screens missing on sun porch but the PROS definitely outweighed the cons.Thank you for letting us enjoy this relaxing home.

A touch of paradise

The entire experience was amazing. From the greeting when we arrived and the transition of our items to the house right up to the farewell at the end. This is the perfect spot on North Captiva island. Quiet and relaxing and beautiful.

Fantastic Beach Location

This location is great to get away and relax. Itā€™s in the perfect spot to watch dolphins, manta rays, manatees, and even a sea turtle if youā€™re lucky. The property was clean and has everything available to make the stay as enjoyable as possible.

One of the best on the island!

This was our second time staying at this property and wonā€™t be our last! This is the best part of the island in our opinion and weā€™ve stayed in numerous other properties. The upgrades are beautiful and everyone associated with the property are very nice, helpful and attentive. Great place for a getaway!

Family summer vacation

This house was the perfect stay for a relaxing beach vacation. Loved the view! It will be a great place to go back when the island is back to 100%. Did miss having restaurants to visit but the grocery delivery service was great.

The house was very nice and cozy. kitchen had all the useful things needed. Loved the layout with all the areas to just hang out and listen to the ocean. Even though it was colder then usual was an amazing week.

Great stay

My family enjoyed the stay last week at this cottage right on the beach. Amazing views, saw dolphins while on the back deck. Remote, quiet, and relaxing. We had ants, the manager was responsive and had a professional out the next day. Just make sure to wear plenty of bug spray when outside, but that isnā€™t an issue with the property. Overall we were very pleased!
