Modernized Farm House On a U Pick Farm

Amenities, Amenities, Amenities.... We have a great kitchen, with a beautiful view of an ancient oak tree and the beautiful Santa Ynez Mountains. A jacuzzi on the terrace for the perfect nighttime relaxation and a cozy fire pit with enough seating for 6. The master bathroom even has a steam shower as well as a free standing tub. The decor of this house is lovely, classic, high end and elegantly western. It is roomy and has plenty of space for 6 people. All of the bedrooms have full bathrooms and there is even a powder room by the front door. The outdoor kitchen will please the best of the best grillers. There is plenty of space for eating al Fresca! Picnic tables and sofas adorn the patio. You'll even get a view of the pond and a gate to the farm stand, should you need any fresh fruits or veggies. Each bedroom has its own televisions and there are three gas fireplaces throughout. The location could not be any better. We are located in Santa Ynez, near places like Bob's Well Bread in Ballard, SY Kitchen and Los Olivos where you will find over 100 tasting rooms and great restaurants. We are 5.7 miles to the town of Solvang. Across the highway is La Herradura, the famous polo fields. You will feel far away from civilization yet be close to it all. You are minutes away from the gourmet Los Olivos Market. There is plenty of parking, even for an RV, and an EV charging station. We hope you will relax and enjoy our beautiful valley as much as we do. About our farm.....Here at Summerset Farm, we pride ourselves on offering pesticide free, NON-GMO produce, cut flowers, local honey, premium olive oils, small batch artisanal jams, farm fresh eggs and more. Welcome! Please note: A signed rental agreement is required prior to check in.

This Santa Ynez home was truly one of the best places we’ve stayed. It was beautiful, comfortable, and felt so welcoming. The only small wish would be for a fenced property, but we would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

From the first interaction with Kim through our departure, everything was A-one! We were fully informed and had our questions answered prior to arrival. Upon arrival, what else could we say....but WOW. The home, the property, the indoor AND outdoor kitchens, so many beautiful nooks to sit and enjoy the amazing views. Just a wonderful and perfect property for the six of us to enjoy a long weekend. Highly highly recommend this host and this property. We hope to visit again in the future.

We just completed a spectacular month at the farm.Any great hotelier or host will tell you that the most important attribute of a property is that it must have a “great sense of place”. Meaning , that it is well located, and that the property evokes and compliments its surroundings and location.In this case, the farm is a wonderfully located and decorated ranch house in a secluded landscaped garden within a larger farm. It is a beautiful country retreat. It is very spacious and beautifully situated in a yard full of white roses with great outdoor living space. Like all great hotels or properties, you want a “sense of place ” but with all the modern conveniences.. In respect, all of the bathrooms upgraded, the kitchen is first class, and all the other modern amenities of day-to-day life are provided In terms of location, it is five minutes away from Los Olivos, (which is the start of the main wine route of the Santa Ynez Valley,) 10 minutes away from Solvang, and five minutes away from the cute town of Santa Ynez. All of these are small towns so it’s nice to be equidistant from all of them.We were also quite impressed with the culinary choices between those three towns and Los Alamos. Los Alamos is of course famous for Bell’s, which is a Michelin star restaurant and both Los Olivos and Santa Ynez have plenty of excellent choices ranging from casual to elegant. Finally, for those who like hiking, the valley has dozens of choices. Great country retreat. .

Perfect Getaway

My wife and I have been visiting Santa Ynez for nearly 20 years and this may be the nicest place we have ever stayed! The home itself is spacious, clean, and beautiful - exactly as advertised. The master suite and kitchen are real highlights as the former has insane closet space and a beautiful rain shower that doubles as a steam room and the latter has a high end range with built-in griddle just perfect for cooking up fresh eggs from the farm next door to sop up any extra wine left in our bellies from the night before. The property is equally impressive, with a large grassy area dominated by a beautiful tree and a scenic pond. The location should be as much of a draw as the home itself - it is a ways off the road so it feels very secluded and private but it actually offers great access to 154 so you are a short drive from all the Santa Ynez wineries and Los Olivos while also enjoying easy access to Foxen Canyon wineries and Los Alamos (I know this isn’t Yelp, but I can’t say enough about Bell’s). Owner was great to deal with - booking, check-in, and check-out were a breeze. All in all, a fantastic place and we would gladly return.

Absolutely Perfect!

We were 3 couples wanting to escape for a few days to drink wine and eat!When we arrived at the house we were in awe. The house was perfect. The kitchen is a dream kitchen, so much so, we decided to cancel a dinner reservation and cook at home. All six of us were able to be in the kitchen together without stepping on each other's toes. There was a basket of goodies and a dozen eggs from their farm waiting for us. The house was so well stocked with oils, spices, serving dishes, we just had to cook! The garden was magnificent. It was hard to take advantage of all of the little areas to sit, lounge, cook and eat. To sit outside with your morning coffee overlooking the garden with the mountains in the background was magical.The best was the cleanliness. We could not find a bit of dust, or one thing out of place. It was spotless. If you are looking for a farm house experience in the middle of the wine country, this is the place. Every detail with the pillows, the art, everything was spot on.

Perfection

This home was absolute perfection! The kitchen was so lovely to cook in and had everything we needed to have a few great meals. The outdoor space is magical. The flowers were so beautiful and the swing made us feel like a kid again. We absolutely enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and the hot tub was the perfect end to a day of wine tasting. My personal favorite feature was the fireplaces throughout the house. Kim was a fantastic host and we would highly recommended this stay!

Perfect in every way

This property is phenomenal. Most vacation rentals are not quite as nice as the photos. Not quite as comfortable as advertised. The Summerset Farm home exceeded our expectations in every way. The finishes, appliances and quality of the home are very high end. The host thought of every detail. There are so many places to sit and visit both indoors and out. Beds and linens are luxury. Fireplaces all work well. The grounds/yard is immaculate. Very close to amazing dining in Santa Ynez and Los Olivos. You can walk through the field to the farm stand. The host had great gifts out for us upon arrival. We are already planning our next trip back. Highly recommend.

Relaxing oasis

We had the best week at the Farmhouse. It was gorgeous, cozy, and we truly appreciated all of the thoughtful touches the host had arranged for us. The location can't be beat -- just minutes from Los Olivios, Santa Ynez, and lots of wineries.

Wonderful!

My wife and her friends stayed here for her 50th birthday celebration, and were dazzled by the property. These are not women that are easily impressed and thought the place was even better than advertised! The appointments, design, and amenities were obviously done by someone that cares for the place, and not someone that just does it to makes a few bucks. Communication was instant when needed and she followed up to make sure they were doing well during their stay. I even got compliments for picking the place and I didn't really even do anything! My wife was very happy and had a great birthday here.

Over the top incredible

We had a group of 6 friends staying here for a wedding nearby in Los Olivos. This house was the best part of the trip! Decorated so beautifully with everything you need. The backyard was an oasis - lawn games, fire pit, and ample outside seating across the yard. The view was absolutely stunning as well. We ended up cancelling a few wine tours to be able to spend time at home to enjoy this amazing house - that says it all!

U Pick Farmhouse

We had a great stay. The house was spectacular, and the property was amazing. We had nice views of the Figueora Mountains from the back yard. The host, Kim, was very prompt in her responses and very helpful. Can't say enough great things about the house and property. It was quiet, beautiful, and it was a great place to stay and re-connect with family.

Gorgeous Getaway!

Loved loved loved staying at this cozy home! Elegant and rustic at the same time. We enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub amenities and what a treat to wake up to a gorgeous backyard with a cup of coffee. The only reasons for 4 stars is there were a lot of cobwebs all over outdoor furniture (which totally understand it’s outdoor and in nature, but seemed a bit accumulated) and we struggled slightly with the lock pad punch (could be user error too). There were a few delayed text responses from our host during our stay which was a little frustrating. But overall, what a beautiful home, close to Solvang, Los Olivos and wineries. We had a great time during our girls trip!

Perfect place in Santa Ynez

The home was beautiful, well furnished with all the amenities. The beds were so comfy and everyone had a wonderful relaxing weekend on this scenic property that was close to the wineries and downtown. We can’t wait to return soon!

EVERYTHING!!!

Can't think of a thing that we needed that wasn't in this beautiful home. Everything was first class, top notch. We loved the multiple conversation and dining areas, the fully equipped kitchen, ample storage, gorgeous on-suite rooms and the beautiful grounds. The sweet, adjacent U-pick farm was just icing on the cake. Great photo ops all around the property. This is great place to get away from it all "out in the country" while being close to wine tasting and great restaurants. Don't want to recommend it too much so we'll have a place to return. Property manager Kim was VERY responsive.
