Watch dolphins, surfers and unforgettable sunsets from your floor-to-ceiling picture windows and private deck. The top (3rd) floor location offers an excellent view of the beach below. Your California getaway features a well stocked gourmet kitchen, barbecue, 55" flat screen TV and free Wifi connection. The in-unit washer/dryer and strategically placed ceiling fans make life free and easy! Desk and chair making working from home convenient. Enjoy the cool comfort of the recently installed mini-split air conditioning.
Beach access stairs are adjacent to your gated complex and lead to the shoreline where you can swim, explore tide pools or take a romantic seaside stroll from Solana Beach to Del Mar. The complex features an oceanfront pool and spa. Two designated parking spaces in underground garage.
A small coastal town, Solana Beach is known for wide sandy beaches and great restaurants. Check out "Belly Up," a unique concert venue for nighttime entertainment. Location, location, location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Del mar shores terrace #32 is perfectly located to watch sunsets, dolphins, pelicans, surfers, and people enjoying the beach. I enjoyed many beach walks myself. The condo was stocked with everything I needed. It's modern and clean. The complex is very close to many wonderful restaurants and shopping. I'm looking forward to returning next year.

Desperately needs renewal

Despite the fantastic location and view, there were so many things wrong with this property. The broken springs on the couch made it impossible to sit on. The lounging chair and ottoman were comfortable, but there were falling apart. The carpet in the bedroom was filthy. The management is very responsive and fixed problems promptly. The owner must not care very much.

An abbreviated month at Solana Beach

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A disappointment. Who knew $13,000 would only get you a view with a mediocre place to stay? Dogs allowed but don’t let them bark or pee in the development - take them outside to pee on neighbors property. No windows or ac only sliding doors at opposite ends of condo so dogs hear other dogs barking. Worn out cushions and covers shredding on balcony chairs, worn out support on 2 of 3 cushions of couch and no sports or news channels on tv! A dryer/washer that can’t handle the king size bedding and a dead vacuum cleaner. Left when they had to order new washer/dryer and was told I could use development washer/dryer.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 2nd rental at Del Mar Shores with Stubbs and we will definitely be back. Last year we visited in April and had more full sun days, but coming from scorching Vegas we actually enjoyed the "May Gray" this visit. The ocean breeze moves through the unit to freshen everything quickly when opening the sliders. The unit had a dated bathroom and kitchen, but the price helped make up for this. Have to say that the living room furniture should be replaced soon, however, as it is uncomfortable and very squeaky. As with all 3rd floor oceanfront units, the view is SPECTACULAR and we spent a lot of time on the balcony and inside watching the regular surfers both morning and evening. Strolling on the beach and collecting shells is always fun. A pair of binoculars would have been nice to have during the visit, since dolphins regularly play just outside in the surf. The parking spots are separated by a large concrete pillar, which makes parking a bit of a challenge, but it is inside and protected by the gate. Tip: bring some large ziploc bags to put your trash in so that ants won't ruin your vacation...they're drawn to most anything and hauling trash daily to the dumpster isn't much fun. Note for owner: Please check water/ice dispenser for mold and replace plastic parts asap. Overall this is a nice property and we're likely to return as an escape from the Vegas desert heat.

Great view but could use some TLC

Wash & dryer weren’t great. (Especially the dryer) so was difficult (impossible) to wash towels if they landed on the floor. Furniture could use a little upgrading. Probably wouldn’t choose this spot next time

Great view of the ocean, eateries nearby, comfy bed , clean and comfortable

Great location, parking, enjoyable condo, helpful property managers, washer dryer, we’ll stocked kitchen utensils. Although super clean when we arrived, it would be nice if there was dishwasher soap, more than one garbage bag, soap for the shower etc. We don’t expect an abundance of supplies, but some start ups , would be nice!

Stay at Sandy Dreams

We love this area in San Diego and try to return every year. This property is in a great location with easy access to the beach. The property manager was very easy to work with and very responsive. The views are spectacular and the constant sound of the ocean is amazing! We never actually went down and sat on the beach because we felt like we were at the beach day and night by opening the window! The unit was generally clean, but the floors could definitely use a deep clean and, as others have mentioned, the towels provided were like towels you would get in a standard hotel room, which are ok when you get new ones each day, but not great to use over the course of a week unless you want to wash/dry them every day. I ended up using my own towels since I read that in another review. Otherwise, the unit is lovely--decorated nicely and felt like home. It would be nice to include in the description that there are beach chairs (I wouldn't have brought my own) in the unit.

Amazing location but a few updates needed

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at Sandy Dreams and you cannot beat the location and incredible views. We did find the unit in need of a little TLC including a few basic broken and maintenance items that had not been dealt with (patio door was broken, lights were burned out, filter on fridge hadn’t been changed, etc). We also were surprised to find no spare linens or towels for our use and our initial linens were balling and uncomfortable due to age however Stubbs was able to provide us with those items when asked. We also needed to buy new toilet paper and dish soap half way through our stay which surprised us that this wasn’t included. The unit is dated and we knew this when we rented however these small customer service fixes would have made the stay more enjoyable. The kitchen was well appointed as was the beach items and the facility itself is perfect for a Solana Beach getaway.
