This quiet, scenic residence is located in park-like, hillside setting with sweeping ocean views, surrounded by trees and gentle ocean breezes. 6 blocks from the Del Mar Plaza, and the beach, it offers easy access to downtown Del Mar, the Racetrack, and beaches.

Completely remodeled in 2013, new kitchen with quartzite counters, walnut cabinets, stainless appliances, Teak floors, walk in shower with dual shower heads, and so much more! Amenities include wrap around ocean view deck with outdoor BBQ and dining, outdoor shower, floor to ceiling windows, ocean views from both bedrooms, gas stove, 50' flat screen smart HDTV, free high speed WiFi, and off-street parking in a very quiet neighborhood. Maximum 4 people (1 King and 1 Queen bed). New firm Avocado organic King Mattress (2022).

Nice stay

Over all a very nice stay. The couch needs a good clean, and there was a strange smell in the house, but otherwise we were quite happy.

Treehouse stay

The property was just as advertised- very cool & cozy. Perfect location in north county San Diego, with easy access to Solana, Cardiff, Encinitas & also south to LaJolla! Owners are super nice and helpful, would definitely stay here again.

Would Expect More

Pros: - Amazing location - Stunning ocean view Cons: - The couch is seriously stained, not very inviting to sit on (my in-laws preferred the dining table chairs.) - We initially couldn't find the washing machine and dryer, even though the owner had mentioned they were under the carport. Unfortunately, my in-laws, for whom we booked the apartment, didn't have the best time: On their arrival day, they were told about a water leak issue, and they had to go outside at night to open and close a valve to use water. We get that these things happen, but it was a bit of a bummer that the owner didn't get a plumber to fix it the same day. We found out about the leak early in the evening on the check-in day, and the plumber didn't show up until the next day. What's more, while the owner was nice on the phone and apologized for the trouble, they didn't offer a refund for that night, which we thought would've been fair. Then, there was another hiccup when the code lock stopped working, and my in-laws got locked out one morning. The owner told them where to find a spare key, but it turned out there was no key because the cleaner had taken it by mistake. So, my in-laws had to wait for over an hour overall until the cleaner showed up and they could finally get in. Again, the owner didn't offer any compensation. In the end, I reached out to the owner and asked for some compensation for these incidents. They agreed to waive the cleaning fee and give us a $100 refund.

Thank you for letting us know about these issues. The pipe burst was beyond our control and was fixed within 24 hours. The guests were credited for their inconvenience. One of the licks did malfunction, but the problem was corrected within 60 min. The couch cushion covers have been washed or replaced , thank you for bringing this to our attention. Safe travels!

We spent 2 weeks in August and everything was just perfect. Justin is a wonderful host, always ready to answer our questions and fix our needs.

Great stay in Del Mar Heights

Property is 1 mile from the beach. Can easily walk there. House is clean but couch needs to be updated or replaced. Beds were comfortable and deck is nice and has ocean views.

Del Mar treehouse

My daughter and I had an enjoyable and comfortable stay. We loved the walk up the hill from the village and the views (and windows) were terrific. The house was well stocked with kitchen essentials which was great since we usually prepared meals there. The owner was very friendly and super responsive. Just a note, in case it matters, the property is small, the angles are a bit funky and the furniture well used, but functional.

Small, quiet space with great view from deck. Deck was best spot for coffee in the AM and wine in the PM. Some nice updates in kitchen and bath. Furniture should be updated!

Beautiful view

The house is in a very nice section of del mar. The yard is typical for San Diego area- on a steep hill. The house has a nice living room, kitchen was well supplied, beds were a little uncomfortable, but we are older. The view is beautiful and there is a lot to do really close. There is no AC, and it was a little warm when we got there (82). After a day, it cooled off. It was a little difficult to get the owner, but the cleaning service was still there when we got there at check-in, so she gave us a code. We had a nice time overall.

This unit is bright with great terrace & views. Property owner was very responsive. Unit could have used basic amenities like hand soap & coffee, but other than that it was nice, quiet & comfortable.

Amazing location and views! Well stocked kitchen (Le Creuset, good knives, good pans, and didn’t feel like it was someone’s old kitchen stuff from college), beach towels, great shower, and comfortable beds. Quiet neighborhood and felt like home!

Lovely little gem of a place. Outdoor furniture needs some major TLC. Indoors is beautiful and has all the essentials. Beds super comfy. Kitchen well kitted out. Shower was AWESOME. Lamps would be nice as I’m not a fan of overhead lighting. Del Mar was a sweet place and the beach was lovely.

Memorial Day Weekend

Based on the reviews and location we were excited to stay at this property. However, our experience was not great. First and foremost, we could not get into the home and despite multiple calls we recived no help or call back. The emergency contact in the emails, is linked to another number and did not help at all. Once we learned that the emergency number was not the correct number we were finally able to get into the property. Additionally, throughout the whole weekend there was no internet. The unit next door seemed to have internet after a apperently neighborhood outage but our property never received any use of the internet. This was a big part of weekend that we were not able to enjoy.

The two of us enjoyed our stay in Del Mar at Treehouse 2. The ocean view from the deck was extraordinary. Could also see the ocean from both bedrooms. Our visit was brief but memorable.

Great place to relax.

Enjoyed a very relaxing stay here. All communication was timely and accurate. House was very comfortable and located in a quiet neighborhood with a great view of the ocean. Very easy access to services in town and the beach. Would stay here again!

Complete GREEN LEED remodel in 2012, new kitchen with hardwood floors, stainless appliances - 30 cu ft. french door refrigerator- quartz counter tops and LED lighting. Custom bathroom with skylights, walk in shower, dual shower heads. Only non toxic materials and zero VOC paints used. New Earthweave 100% natural, no chemical treatment wool carpet and wool carpet pad installed in the bedrooms in 2015.

You can walk to the beaches and restaurants in Del Mar. You'll love running and surfing on the beaches of Del Mar where the night life is lively, and the restaurants are fantastic. Del Mar has easy access to the Horse Racetrack, La Jolla, or San Diego.
