Great location !!!

Great location, close to all you need, spectacular view, quiet and peaceful location. perfect early mornings and early evenings - for canoeing, relaxing, walking, etc. best spot on the lake. Would definitely stay again!

Great property - clean, well maintained, nicely appointed, and located in a great spot.

Delightful Skaneateles Lakefront Cabin

My husband and I enjoyed a weeklong stay at this delightful Skaneateles Lakefront property. The cabin was immaculate and provided every amenity that we needed ... and more! It was also in an ideal location with easy access to the lake, town and other nearby attractions. We only wish we could have stayed longer and are already planning our next visit. Many thanks to our gracious host.

Fun week.

Loved it. The house was very clean, spectacular views, beautiful sunrises. Love the huge deck overlooking the water. Another smaller deck above on main level of house where you can enjoy morning coffee. Owner easy to get ahold of. Always hard to leave last day. Weather was great, house also has airconditioning and pingpong table.

Stay at a very unique place

We loved our stay at the house by the lake. Spent so much time on the porch overlooking the lake! The view and serenity of the place was exactly what our tired bodies and souls needed :) We visited the neighboring lakes, state parks, waterfalls, and wineries. We had an awesome vacation.

Skaneateles cottage

The property owner was wonderful to work with and extremely prompt with communication. The cottage is super cute and met our needs. There were only two of us for the two weeks except for 4 nights when my mother came to visit otherwise the limitation of one bathroom could’ve been an issue. The property was well stocked with essentials. Access to the main living area involves only one step. The road accessing the property is a bit challenging but navigable even at night. All in all we gave it a 5 star and really enjoyed ourselves.

Absolutely loved every minute and can’t wait to return

Very comfortable house, great mattress, fully equipped kitchen and just perfect location. We truly enjoyed our two weeks by the lake. Loved the access to the canoe, paddle board, ping pong table and all the space in the basement and decks. Enjoyed nights by the fire pit toasting marshmallows. Doreen was very attentive and helpful. Hope to return next summer

Can not beat the view

We stayed 2 weeks at this property. Never got tired of the view and relaxing on the deck over the water. Fires each night really added to the ambiance. We rented a speed boat for 2 days which made for some great outings.

Tranquility

Wonderful relaxing getaway at a picturesque clear and clean lake! The accommodation was perfectly described in pictures. The owners were very responsive to our questions prior and after arrival, wanting us to get the most out of our stay. Added bonus was outdoor seating options on different levels, beautiful views of the lake, very comfortable mattresses, daily swimming, and sunrises/sunsets.

Quiet, secluded and peaceful

You will love this place if you are looking for a week of peace and quiet. The cottage is right on a crystal clear lake and set far off from a main road. The cottage was adorable and had everything we needed. The owner was very responsive to our questions and provided great suggestions for the area. Be sure to spend some time at the winery and take a look in the little boutiques in town. We were very comfortable and we hope to return. Thank you

Fantastic secluded lake home.

We had a great time. Check in was super easy. The property is very nice and very secluded while still being close to several towns. The finger lakes area is so nice and the lake was fantastic. Property has been nicely updated and its just a super comfy place to relax and unwind. Would definitely rent again just wish we could have stayed longer.

A little piece of Heaven

At the 11th hour we decided to take off for the weekend. We found this lovely home online and booked it. Doreen was terrific about our last minute requests. She was very responsive to emails and text msgs. Upon arrival we were able to easily gain entry. We found an extremely well cared for, clean, and well equipped home. Along with our key we found a little packet of information that had everything from grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops, and great points of interest. If you are looking for a peaceful, serene, absolutely beautiful retreat - look no further.

Heavenly Escape

This cottage provided such a lovely escape for our family! It was immediately inviting- very clean and comfortable and beautifully decorated. The view was better than we imagined. The large porch had many places to relax and take in the view early each morning. The village of Skaneateles was a special place with nice shops and fantastic restaurants but once we got to the cottage we wanted to stay put. The kitchen was stocked with everything that we needed and we used the large grill and spacious deck for many meals. The main attraction for us was the water! This is a crystal clear lake that is the best we've ever visited. The dock had easy stairs to get in and the teenagers loved swimming to the raft and sunbathing. The water was the perfect temperature-just so refreshing and clean. We also used the kayak daily, which was perfect for exploring. The kids loved the bonus room with ping pong and foosball. At night, we read and watched DVDs ( provided) in the cozy living room. We were pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was! Some days we felt like we were the only ones on the water and the evenings were so relaxing with zero noise. We all slept very well in the comfortable bedrooms. It was a particularly warm week and the air conditioning was a huge bonus. On our last night, we unexpectedly had to purchase a suit for our son and we were lucky to find an outlet shopping center a reasonable drive from the cottage with amazing deals. We left feeling rested and relaxed with zero complaints. This lakefront cottage was just what the doctor ordered! It's amazing that this area is such a relatively short trip from NYC. The Finger Lakes is such a gorgeous area. Next year, we would love to add a week to explore the wineries and towns surrounding the cottage.

Fantastic escape on a beautiful lake!

Our stay was everything and more than we could have hoped for. The cottage is perfect. All the amenities are amazing. We can't wait to book it again and spend more time there for years to come! We were not lacking a single thing. Everything provided was perfect. The lake was beautiful and spectacular sunsets! We loved having a fire in the fire pit on the deck and enjoyed smores! If you are thinking of booking this cottage, do not hesitate you will not be disappointed!

Wonderful Lake House!

What a wonderful house to Rent!! This was the first time that me and my family visited Skaneateles Lake and it exceeded all of our expectations. The lake is a gem to say the least, and the water is crystal clear and refreshing. The huge plus about this house is that it is situated directly on the lake with a large beautiful deck and very easy lake access. We enjoyed using the grill and dinning with views of the lake during sunset. Spending time boating in the house's very nice large canoe and single person kayak was very enjoyable. There is a swimming platform just off the house which was very pleasant to swim to and jump off of, and the house has lots of floats to use too. I'm a fisherman and was very successful fishing off the dock and from the canoe catching small mouth bass. We also rented a party boat at the Skaneateles Marina which was a very good deal and half price on Monday's or Tuesdays. It's a great way to see a lot of the lake and beautiful homes surrounding it. The house is very comfortable with a nice kitchen that had everything you need to cook with. The living room is large with a TV that has all the cable channels, but we rarely used it because the lake provided so much entertainment. The beds and bedrooms were very comfortable also. Then there is the town. Skaneateles is a treasure with many great restaurants to choose from and surrounding wineries to visit and do tastings at. Don't miss Anyela's Vineyard, that is just a few miles down the road from the house. We also took a day trip to Niagara Falls which was a little under 3 hours away and very doable from the house. It was incredible to see! If you want to experience a Fingerlake at it's best, Skaneateles Lake and this house is it! We had the best week ever!!

Memorial Day

Stayed at this wonderful cabin Memorial Day weekend. Had a great stay and everyone enjoyed it there. The cabin is very nicely furnished and was comfortable for us. The pictures on the site do not do the property justice with amazing views of the lake from the house. The weather was on the cool side during the first part of the weekend and we utilized the indoor electric fireplace for some heat. This worked fine but would not even be an issue if you are staying during the summer months. There is no AC, but there are fans available to get some air moving and keep the cabin cool. Lots of windows and the sliding glass door let in lots of light as well. We stressed over what to bring and ended up packing more than we actually needed. The bedrooms are simple but do have closet and dresser space if you are planning a longer stay. Two of the bedrooms have queen size beds and one has a set of bunks. All had bedding available though we brought our own. There are all manner of kitchen utensils, dinnerware, glasses, etc. available to use. The gas grill worked great and we used it each night of our stay and there was plenty of propane on hand. The outside areas are the best part of the property and really added to our enjoyment. Being an avid fisherman, I spent much of my time doing exactly that. There is a nice dock to fish from and we caught several smallmouth and yellow perch right off the dock. My Dad caught a huge rainbow trout right off the dock as well. I think we were still early for really good fishing as we saw many more fish in the ultra-clear water than we were able to catch. The water temperature was still rather cold so once it warms up I have the feeling the fishing would be absolutely fantastic! (Bass Pro is 30 min. away in Auburn) There is also a three person canoe and a one person sit-in kayak available. There was no double paddle for the kayak which we could find so we used one of the canoe paddles which worked but an actual kayak paddle would have been much better especially if you want to take the canoe and kayak out at the same time. Life preservers are available with three adults and one child size. Other amenities which should be mentioned are the new washer and dryer, the ping pong table, the fire pit,(you should stop in Skaneateles and get some firewood) and board games, cards, and even some books for any rainy days you might have. I also suggest taking a day or two to visit the village of Skaneateles and surrounding area.

summer in sept

Had a great week at the cottage with many types of weather including three summer like days to enjoy the kayak, and lounging on the beautiful deck, and a boat cruise. The ping pong table came in handy on a chillier day when relatives came out for a BBQ. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets can be enjoyed from the dock and porches. Took and easy drive to the Cayuga wine trail and also went golfing at the nearby course.
