Mom/daughter get away

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Sanibel Moorings was the perfect spot for my daughter and me to relax and catch up. We enjoyed pickleball and kayaking in the canals. We loved the location as it was easy to walk to restaurants and shops or it was a straight shot to go off island which we did a few times. And of course, THE BEACH!! The beach is beyond perfect... we walked and talked and hunted for shells. The kitchen in the condo was well stocked and we made a few really tasty meals. We could even spot manatees in the canal from our lanai.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We hesitated to book due to the lack of reviews since June. If you are considering staying here, just do it! The condo is clean, comfortable and has everything you need for your stay. The setting is absolutely gorgeous. You overlook the docks, but the beach is a few minute walk across the street. The property is coming back from the hurricanes and while it might not be as lush as it once was, it’s still beautiful. Ongoing construction continues but it didn’t interfere with our stay in the least. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. The location is about a mile away from restaurants and shops but was very walkable for us even after dark. We did a guided kayak tour through Adventure Tours and Rentals on Captiva and highly recommend that! There were several dolphins swimming near us and we even saw a sea turtle. Can’t say enough positive things about Sanibel Moorings! Our 4 night stay definitely wasn’t long enough. Hope to go back and enjoy this gem of a resort again.

Ants were a pesky problem...but we bought some bug spray to alleviate the problem. Carpet in unit was in bad shape and needed to be replaced.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: In June 2021, we stayed in this unit and it was beautiful and immaculate, minus a couple super small things (such as the door barely clearing the island and trim done in a certain way). Anyway in 2022, we found a bottled water and a wallet that was left behind in our unit as well as some receipts and tags from another renter's purchases that were left. Also management needs to service a few things. The shower fans sound like a gas generator running. The sliding glass door needs some teflon lube to quiet the squeak. The carpets need to be shampooed as there were small spots all over it this year. The ceiling fan in the living room area has a buildup of dust on the blades. The ceiling fan in the master bedroom is noisy (enough to keep someone either uncomfortable or awake at night). I'll book it again assuming the owner's take the time to maintain it, and the housekeeping needs to get back on their A game. I would be utterly disappointed to come back and see it in the same or worse condition, and if that's the case, I will most certainly book a different unit or a different resort altogether.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Booking for accommodations was super easy and efficient. The front desk staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. The unit was one of the most comfortable places I’ve ever stayed and commented to my family that it felt almost like being at home. Access to the beach is a short stroll down the boardwalk, with the pools available for a nice dip later in the heat of the day. We would definitely stay here in the future.

The condo itself was clean and so roomy! The location was close to the beach, restaurants, shops and more. It was also nice and quiet at night. We will be back!

Last summer getaway 2021

Location of the property is great - 2 miles max to most local amenities. Condo location within the property was super. Very quiet - no road noise and no noise from other guests - especially pool areas. The condo itself was fantastic! Perfect for 4 people. Felt like newly refinished. Good access to tv and WiFi. Kitchen was effficiently stocked. Fun to sit on the patio and look over the canal below.

Lovely place to spend the week

This unit is one of the nicer ones we've stayed in, and we've rented through VRBO many times in various locations. It was decorated nicely and everything seemed fresh and new. The beach was a short walk (much closer than I expected) and the grounds were beautiful with all the tropical plants. We never had any issue finding beach chairs and umbrellas, even when we showed up mid afternoon. The beach is full of shells and the water is shallow and calm. We'd definitely bring our little ones back here. My only complaint is that the kayaks and SUPs were not available during our stay "due to COVID restrictions." Overall, a nice week to get away without kids.
