Very large Truckee home central to everything Tahoe has to offer

This spacious townhome is in the Truckee area of Lake Tahoe, just 15 minutes from the lake, 10 minutes from Northstar ski resort, and 20 minutes from Palisades ski resort - the main attractions in the Tahoe area. The 7 bed (4.5 bedroom), 3.5 bath mountain contemporary house was built in the late 2000's and is unique for it's large living space, totaling 3,600 square feet - ideal for a multi-family group to stay together. Including the 2 pull out sofabed queens, the house can sleep as many as 14 people. For meals, gather around the island in the kitchen or the big dining room table. In the evenings, enjoy the large propane fireplace in the living room which makes for cozy nights in the winter season. To wind down a day of activities, enjoy the large hot tub just off the deck on the patio. In the summer, enjoy the fire pit and BBQ on the deck. High quality furnishings, finishes and linens in the home complete the mountain resort feel.

The house is located 10 minutes from downtown Truckee. Downtown Truckee is unique for its quaint old western style main street with several restaurant, bar and grocery options. The property provides a nice mix of seclusion and access to amenities and recreation. It is conveniently situated within driving distance of ski, hiking, and mountain biking activities and downtown conveniences. Lake Tahoe itself is just a 15 minute drive, with its boating, fishing, and beachside activities and the ski resorts of Northstar and Pallisades are just 10 minutes and 20 minutes away, respectively. The place is ideal for groups interested in ski leases for the winter.

The house is fully furnished with a large open concept kitchen/living/dining area, ideal for the full group to gather in one place.

Everything was as described and wonderful for a large family to meet. Great restaurants, beaches and towns/shopping nearby too. Easy and quick communication with owners. It was everything you’d expect in a VRBO for a relaxing stay!

Beautiful, clean, extremely well stocked!Convenient to everything.14 of total and it was perfect for cooking large dinners and eating together, followed by fireplace games!Teenagers could even stay up and talk/watch movies while adults slept tucked away in a quiet bedroom.

Lovely home with lots of cozy amenities

We loved this stay at Rob's house in Truckee. The photos don't do the place justice, and it was an incredible season in large part due to how amazing the home was. Fireplaces everywhere, hottub, and more than enough kitchen equipment. Comfortable beds and some of the best nights of sleep this season. Great location, convenient to the grocery store, and great communication with our host Rob. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Wonderful long term stay in Truckee

Wow, what a great month in Truckee! Was thrilled to stay at this clean, spacious and incredibly decorated home. Lots of room to spread out after a day skiing or on the lake, comfortable couches and large televisions to watch movies and sports. Did I mention the hot tub and jacuzzi bathtubs to soak your tired muscles? The chef's kitchen had every tool you needed and the gigantic dining table made it the perfect place to host family and friends during our stay. The numerous bedrooms and bathrooms gave us reason to invite the world to join us in luxury. The house is centrally located to great restaurants and shops including one of my favorite Raley's grocery store with local beers and gourmet fixings. It's an easy drive into Truckee and 20 minutes down to Lake Tahoe central to all the best ski resorts. With any long stay, you have to assume a few things would pop up. The hosts answered every text immediately. When we couldn't address how to heat the hot tub or fix the ice machine directly for example, they were quick to send out for help. Never did I feel I was asking too much or my concerns overlooked. I would absolutely stay here again. It's the perfect vacation spot with lots of room to host the perfect friendly retreat or family reunion. 10/10 for cleanliness, comfort and ease of use. Thank you for being exceptional hosts.

Broken Hot Tub, Rude Host

The home is a great space, stocked with everything you need to host a fun weekend getaway. But a word of caution about the host and how they handle issues. We discovered that the hot tub was not working after checking in. We messaged the host and got a vague “Not sure how that happened. Not sure how to help.” response from Rob. After messaging him multiple times over the next 24 hours and pleading with him to send an electrician, he finally called someone but it was too late in the day and the electrician said the stores were closed to buy the part he needed. Given that the hot tub was a primary reason for booking the house (and if you’re reading this it’s probably a big reason for you too) we were shocked to hear that they won’t give us any sort of refund for the inconvenience. Hopefully Rob fixes the hot tub soon, but just a heads up that if something like this breaks during your stay, you won’t have a happy ending to your getaway.

Beautiful home great for a group

Stayed here with my family for a ski weekend. It’s a beautiful, nicely furnished property great for a big group. We did get confused because the listing originally said six bedrooms and there are only four. Owners were responsive and accommodating. Great location.

Great place & lots of beds!

We had a pretty large group, different ages. It was the perfect size, lots of space and enough beds for all. The open layout was perfect for everyone being able to socialize even when someone was cooking. The place was clean & clear instructions for entry & all amenities (hot tub). The extras in the kitchen were so helpful. I’ve never stayed at a BnB/VRBO with any and every kitchen appliance or utensils needed. There were lots of extra blankets and towels. Quick 10 min drive to Tahoe Rim Trailhead & 15 to Kings Beach. Also close to 50/50 brewery. Loved this place!

Good Tahoe and Truckee location

Very convenient location, close to Truckee, Tahoe and within walking distance to a very nice, brand new grocery store. Owners seemed nice in communications and were responsive to questions we had. Would have liked to have an outdoor table and chairs since it was so nice outside. Would rent again…

Lovely extended stay in Truckee

We had an amazing extended stay in Truckee. The house is clean, large, well-stocked and an amazing location close to Truckee and Lake Tahoe activities. The house was very well equipped and super clean which made it very comfortable for us. We can't wait to be back!

Large luxurious vacation home for families and groups

This home is stunning, pristinely clean, and has lots of little extras like charging stations and basic spices. There are two large master bedrooms and two other decent sized bedrooms. All the beds have high end sheets and mattresses. The open living area is very comfortable, complete with fluffy blankets for snuggling up in front of the fire. The location is about a half hour from Squaw/Alpine and less to Northstar. There is a grocery store about a half mile away. The jetted bath facing the MBR fireplace is decadent. We enjoyed our time here and would return again.

Stunning duplex!

Where do I even begin, pictures don’t give the house it’s real justice! It’s absolutely stunning and very clean! It is a duplex, but it sure doesn’t feel like one as the house is so big nor can you hear the neighbors next door! We happen to run into the neighbors as we were checking out and they asked us if we heard any noise on their end Saturday night and we definitely couldn’t hear a peep! The walls between the two units are built incredibly thick and noise proof! Huge plus!! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need literally everything!! The kitchen was a dream to cook in! Although we brought everything we needed, there is a pantry with anything you may need but you must replace what you use. We also had access to the garage (a huge plus)as that worked out so very well to park one car inside and the other on the driveway. I was able to fit my Suv with cargo box mounted on top inside the garage with plenty of clearance! The table between the stairs is a game table with a few game options to play. We didn’t use them as we brought our own games but it was great to see additional entertainment options! My nephews ages 9 and 3 were able to play outside in the snow safely as the area is quiet and there is some empty land just a few steps away! The house is also perfectly located near a shopping center and about a 11 min drive to northstar or 20 min drive to donner ski ranch. Overall we had such an amazing time we didn’t want to leave we LOVED the house soooo much! You won’t be disappointed with this house! We hope to be back again in the near future! Thank you Rob for all your help and wonderful communication to help with all my questions!
