Your riverfront beach escape~ Surf and Turf

One of Folly’s Best! Surf and Turf is a newly renovated 2 bedroom 2.5 bathroom condo in the Mariner’s Cay community, perfect for 4 guests. Take in the Folly River views from your second-story condo or enjoy the luxury of the pool and tennis courts in Mariner’s Cay. Just a stroll over the bridge takes you to Center St., where you’ll find shops and local restaurants. The beach is just a 5-minute drive away and downtown Charleston can be reached in about 20 minutes.

The living room is the perfect spot to have morning coffee while watching the boats go by. Catch up on your favorite show on the Samsung SmartTV in the living room as well as TVs in both bedrooms. The fully stocked kitchen has stainless steel appliances. Both the primary bedroom and additional bedroom feature King beds for an assured good night's sleep. The primary bedroom’s attached bathroom has a stand-up shower and the additional bathroom has a shower/tub combo. Take an extended vacation with ease as there is an in-unit washer and dryer.

This property provides parking for one car. The neighborhood has a gated entrance and 1 gate access card is provided. This community prohibits motorcycles or boat trailers and smoking on the property. Surf and Turf is not pet-friendly. Please note, the tennis courts are closed for repairs. While we manage this property we do not manage the maintenance of this building or elevator. All photos are current and accurately depict the property. Please book with confidence. View was spectacular. The location was great. The condo was okay. We loved the 2.5 bathrooms but the low sinks were not easy. The hot water only lasted for 1 shower and we had multiple cold showers. There wasn’t very many dishes for food but it worked. The beds and pillows are horrible.

Excellent experience

Perfect Location, beautiful Condo

Management very responsive, clean and newly remodeled, great views of the water-saw some dolphins & wildlife. A short walk over the bridge to food, shopping & the beach.

Perfect Getaway!

This was perfect for a long weekend getaway for our family. The condo was very clean and tastefully decorated and in a safe location. Communication was top notch. The gate gave us a little trouble the last day, but we think it was an electrical issue. The other guest and owners were friendly. Thank you for the southern hospitality!

A great place to stay!

We loved our stay. Close to Folly/ commerce/ restaurants, but still was nestled in a quiet community. The condo also had a great view! We are a family of 4- my husband and I, plus our two girls (ages 7 and 5). The master suite was spacious and the girls shared the other king size bed. It was perfect. We have family in James Island and come down at least once a year, and we’d definitely stay here again.

New Year’s on Folly

We had a wonderful stay at Surf and Turf. It is in a great location just minutes from downtown Folly Beach and we enjoyed the sunrise and sunset every day. All the neighbors were very friendly and helpful. It was a perfect way to start the New Year.

Great location, comfy and clean

Great location just off of Folly so in 5 min you're on the beach or 20 min and you're up in Charleston. Felt clean and comfortable and a very nice view. The grounds are a little beach-worn but super safe with very nice people around. Very affordable and comfortable as a crash pad.

My stay

One of the best places to stay at Folly Beach.The staff was amazing, the view was perfect. The only negative thing was the couch was very uncomfortable, but it does have a pull out bed. All in all I will be returning and will choose this place.

Spacious & Convenient Access to Beaches, Town, and Charleston.

Lovely views! Very clean & well-equipped place. Beds were comfortable. Living room couch could definitely stand to be replaced- worn, a little dated and noticeably lumpy on all three cushions from springs. The other chairs were nice. We did end up moving the those chairs to that sunroom area to enjoy the beautiful views and the high top table to the side during our stay & then returned them all (by lifting, not dragging to protect the floors!) Bring your binoculars for the birdwatching! Could be nice to have two additional comfy chairs so four of us could sit together in the living room. We didn’t really need that because we had beautiful weather- no rainy days so never once turned on any of the televisions! That was glorious in and of itself! We went to Folly Beach, which was packed because of replenishment but if you walked up a few blocks it was fine. We also went to Sullivans Island beach near the newer Charleston lighthouse, which was a really nice beach! There are a lot of steps to get to the actual condo & inside it, so if that’s an issue for you, this might not be the place for you. Upstairs bathrooms were great & bedroom closets well stocked with lots of hangers! Thanks for a great stay!

Family Weekend at Folly

We really enjoyed the home. The management company went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and more. Lots of room, excellent views, great proximity to the beach and restaurants without being in the fray. My only negative feedback is that the couch was really uncomfortable to sit on.

Work Trip

Our party consisted of 4 ladies meeting together in Folly for a business trip. This rental was an amazing place to stay. The property was very clean, well stocked, and the rental managers did an outstanding job. I give this place a 10 out 10 score it was so nice. The pool was very nice, the view was the best, and rental provided plenty of space for us to spread out. Thank you again and we look forward to using your place in the future.

Beautiful views

We love Folly, so much that we plan on moving there next summer. We loved the view from the balcony of our condo. However, the first day we arrived the neighbor came out and asked my husband not to smoke on the porch (which according to the property rules we had was okay) my husband agreed and smoked down at the car in the parking lot. During that conversation the man stated that the people who live there don't like people who rent. Not only that her proceeded to call the management company who were ready to charge us 500$ until we explained the situation. Great way to start a vacation. My husband was so upset he couldn't even enjoy our first meal. We weren't allowed to turn the AC below 72 and on those hot days that's not really AC at all. The property was clean and we were comfortable enough, but the bathrooms were so tiny you literally could not turn around in them. Maybe it's being picky but the blue paint in the master bedroom had patches of white all over and the deck off the master wasn't screened. The beds and pillows were comfortable, but we were hot all not because we couldn't turn the AC down.

We called to have the pool cleaned. We also noticed that the WiFi and electricity was spotty at times. The lights blinked and the tv would shut off at times. The house was very nice

Awesome vacation

The condo was super clean has awesome views and fit my family perfect. Neighbors Are also very friendly and let you know about the local secretes. Had a great time at the condo.

Nice, clean and convenient

Had the option of this place or a beat up old beachfront shack. Glad we chose this one. Nice pool, awesome view, great boat ramp for launching kayaks, and very clean. Keep in mind, there is no outside storage. So we kept the kayaks and bikes on the car the whole time.

Folly Beach August 2017

We stayed at the Surf N Turf #80 unit at Mariners Cay. The location was excellent for our purposes (access to beaches & Charleston). The unit was clean and contained all the amenities advertised. We especially liked the balconies off the living area and the MBR in the early mornings and late evenings. The pool area was well kept although the pool itself could have been cleaner of debris. The only problem was at check-in when the pass code we were given did not open the door to the unit. This was quickly dealt with by Folly's Best Rentals via telephone. We enjoyed our stay and are highly likely to return.

Had a very relaxing time at Folly Beach.

Very nice condo in a quiet community. Short drive to Beach and restaurants. Enjoyed seeing dolphins a couple of mornings from the screened in porch.

Long Weekend Getaway

We stayed for 3 nights, for a long weekend, 2 adults + 2 kids. The location is fantastic, maybe 25 minute drive to downtown Charleston, and minutes drive away from the beach if you want to make it over to the washout. The unit is right on the water, and the views are amazing! With the right timing you will see 3 - 4 dolphins swimming. We enjoyed the sunrise with coffee on the balcony and the sunset at night. The updates are sharp and clean, we were very satisfied as the unit was in excellent condition and very clean, bathrooms, kitchen, linens, floors, etc. It was nice being in the condo community, with the gate access it was very quiet and relaxing. This was the perfect option for enjoying both folly and downtown, and the weather ended up being perfect with highs approaching 80 degrees for a winter weekend. We would definitely return.
