Great Time

Beautiful cabin located on a very clean and beautiful lake. The sandy beach was perfect for the kids and being able to rent a pontoon and dock it at the cabin, was ideal. Would definitely stay here again!

Dam Lake Vacation

We've stayed at a variety of lake cabins over the years. This property would rate at the top of the list! It has a wonderful sand beach for the kids, good fishing and a beautiful cabin. It is only minutes away from St. Germain, a small town we truly enjoy.

We had a wonderful time

This was the perfect place for our family gathering, a beautiful property on a beautiful lake. Lots of activities near by, it was the perfect 4th of July week for us.The kids swam everyday and enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board that came with the property. We had friends camping near by so were able to spend time with them too.

Beautiful north woods retreat

I would highly recommend this property to anyone. The home was clean, well equipped and stocked with everything that we needed. Location was perfect; short walk down to the lake and a short drive into town.Great communication from the owner made the whole experience very easy and enjoyable.

Excellant vacation home for a family!

This house is gorgeous and has anything you can imagine in it from fans to coffee pots, to crock pots, to board games! We need to pack so much less next year because this house has it all! And the view and location!!-- the beach is literally 20 steps from your deck! It is SO nice!!! This home has it all to offer! Only 2 downfalls we came up with was the fireplace outside-it's more of a fire stove with benches around it. It would be nice to have a firepit in the middle. And there were no bathtubs, but we made do for the little ones! Everyone gave a thumbs up!

Terrific Spring Break location

Our family of 4 stayed here in late March, and it was a delight. This cabin is beautiful and well maintained, many things looking new. Everything was clean and ready when we arrived, and was consistent with the description/pictures (noting we were there in the winter and did not use/need the water toys). Although there were only 4 of us, we agreed that the place can accommodate larger groups, including sufficient sleeping and dining space and a kitchen stocked with pots/pans/appliances to prepare and serve large meals. The view is AMAZING from a nature perspective, and also allows for one to be in the cabin and have a good view of people (ie, kids) in the lake (although summer foliage on the trees my reduce the view of people in the lake). As mentioned in another review, the cabins are a bit close together, although they are staggered which makes them feel less close. The absence of internet was not an issue, and provided a great opportunity to "unplug" and just enjoy the time and location. The Koppa's were great to work with and made everything quite easy. We thank them for sharing this beautiful place with us for our break.

Easy, Kid-Friendly Vacation

We loved our mid-September week's stay at North Woods Cabin, Koppa's! The cabin and grounds were very well-kept and clean with loads of "toys" and amenities to keep us all - grandparents, mom/dad, 4-yr-old and 1.5-yr-old - easily entertained! We easily fit all 6 of us in the cabin with plenty of room to spare. We loved how quiet it was there at that time of year. And we also LOVED the sandy swimming beach (something that was hard to find when looking for up north rental properties) and the fire pit area. Thank you for lending this beautiful property to us! We made many memories!

Ski Haven

I and three friends stayed at this cabin the weekend of February 10, 2017. The purpose of our trip was for our annual "Ski Camp" in which we both Nordic ski and snow shoe. The location was great as we were within 20 to 30 minutes of the trails and we were also able to ski on the lake. The cabin was well appointed with modern decor. Each of us had our own bedroom, with a small room adjacent to the kitchen serving as the fourth. The basement included two bedrooms with a full bath and a half bath and was finished very tastefully. The main living area hosts a wall of windows facing the lake and supported a flat screen television with a blue ray player. The kitchen supported my culinary skills as all meals were prepared in house. The wood burning stove adds a nice ambiance especially after being outdoors for a number of hours. Communication with Tom the owner was prompt, and he phoned us while we were there and after the weekend to assure all was well. Some of the adjacent cottages are close, but essentially unoccupied during our stay. Overall a very lovely place to rent.

Winter Wonderland

Our Family and another rented this cabin together over Valentine's Day Weekend for a snowmobile trip and it was absolutely wonderful! The Location was wonderful right on the lake and close as can be to the trail the cabin was well maintained well furnished and very cozy and inviting for our families. I recommend this cabin to anyone at anytime and the owners Tom and Lue Ann are wonderful to work with. They are second to none when it comes to hospitality and to work with as owners. Will Definitely consider them next time we have a big group going to the Northwoods, Great Stay!!!!

Labor Day delight!

Our family rented this lovely cabin for the Labor Day weekend this year. It was absolutely wonderful! The location is perfect, just a few yards from the water and the grandkids loved the sandy beach! The cabin was very well appointed, very clean and the kitchen had everything you need for the cookouts...and ins. There are great restaurants close by for adults and kid friendly ones as well. We had a great time and Tom even supplied perfect weather! Extremely accommodating guy and so nice to work with.

Beautiful lake getaway

This home was beyond my expectations. It is beautiful, and a great location for fishing and traveling to surrounding towns for shopping. There was more than enough room for the eight people in our party. The property manager checked in with us the first day, and the owners of the surrounding cabins that were present introduced themselves offering any assistance if needed. The only drawback was the lack of a washer and dryer, which we understood later why. Thank you for sharing your getaway with our families.

Family Fishing Trip over Memorial Day Weekend

The cabin was spacious, clean and well appointment. Large enough for our group of 5 with plenty of space for collective gathering as well as privacy. The porch has a great view of the lake and one afternoon we were treated to two eagles dancing not more than fifty yards distance from the porch. Scenic view, pleasant neighbors. It was my grandson's first trip to the Sugar Camp Chain and he loved it. I have stayed in the area many times and this was the best of all the rentals I have made over the years.

Snowmobile weekend getaway

Perfect cabin for a snowmobile weekend. Trails beautiful and well maintained around the St. Germain area. Owners of the cabin were very accommodating and have a very nice place on the lake. Cabin has everything needed and much more for very nice vacation rental. People of the St. Germain area were also very helpful we had two sleds break down on us on Sunday and the shop in St. Germain (SPORTS MARINE)? I believe, was got us going that day to get back out on the trails. Also the cabin is located near the trail so access to trails was very easy. Would love to stay there again. Highly recommend the property well worth it!!!

Great Winter North Woods Getaway

The cabin met and exceeded our expectations for our girls week out to enjoy the North Woods Winter. Eleven of us were warm and comfortable with space to spread out. The kitchen gave us plenty room, appliances and utensils etc. to prepare all of our meals. The cabins location was ideal for our day trips to nearby cross country ski and snowshoe venues. We found the Vilas County Visitor Guide to the areas silent sports most useful. Communications with Tom and Lue Ann were very informative, accurate and prompt. Everything was clean and in excellent shape. Would certainly recommend this cabin to others and would stay again in the future.

Repeat Customers -Great Family Place

This is the second time we stayed at Tom & LuAnn's place. Plenty of room for the family and the property is well maintained. The beach is great for small kids and the landscaping is brand new. The new dock is perfect for ski or pontoon boat - Dam Lake is amazingly quiet and clean. This year we used the kayaks and had a wonderful day trip. The resident bald eagles were awesome. Highly recommend this property for a fun, Northwoods vacation!

Enjoyed our stay

Thank you Tom and Lue Ann for a most enjoyable stay. The "cottage" was in great shape and very comfortable for our group of six adults and two grandchildren. I would have given our stay a five star rating except for the poor fishing luck we had - although we did finally catch some small walleyes the last day. Your caretaker, Ed, was Johnny on the spot and gave us great service. We especially enjoyed watching the eagles hunt for food - came right down to the beach area one day and got a fish. All in all a very nice lake, nice neighbors in the other cabins and restful area for a get-away to the north woods.

Great vacation

We had a great time. Cabin was beautiful. It was clean, well taken care of. Lake was beautiful and the boys had a great time fishing. There was a great flea market going on while we we're there. Only downfall was weather was a bit chilly for swimming in the lake :(

PhD Students Getaway!

This was a fantastic getaway for 8 international PhD students. There were 4 bedrooms, which was ideal for us since we were 4 couples. The place comes with two kayaks and a boat, just as advertised. We bought fishing rods downtown and took the boat out onto the lake. Great first time experience!!! The neighbors are also friendly. We didn't find any place to go hiking, but other than that, we had a blast!

Rest, Relax and Repeat!!

Our family had a fantastic time. The sandy beach was incredible, as well as the swim area. There is nothing I would recommend for the owners to change. It's perfect! From the daily visits from Eagles to the panoramic views from deck. We enjoyed nightly fires and the other guests. You can not go wrong with this place.

Great cabin for Pond Hockey at Dollar Lake

We had a great stay here for the Labatt Blue Pond hockey tournament. The owner Tom was very easy to work with and the cabin was exactly as advertised. Cabin is about 25 mins from Dollar Lake with easy route. We had 8 guys and we were comfortable the entire stay. Basement is very nice with flat screen TV, wet bar, and ping pong. Plenty of room on main level to hang out. Well appointed kitchen. Very clean. There was not a WiFi connection but otherwise this cabin perfectly met our needs. We had no problem with AT&T wireless. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic Time!!

We rented for our annual snowmobile trip and had a great time. The kids basically had the entire downstairs to themselves. The cabin was better than expected. Easy access to Dam Lake and the entire snowmobile trail system. I would highly recommend this cabin!

2nd trip here...LOVE THIS PLACE

Just came back from our 2 trip to the cabin and can't wait to go back again! Owners are very friendly and helpful, cabin was immaculate as always. Close enough to St. Germain & Eagle River for go-karting, mini-golf, restaurants, etc. Great place for small kids & teens. The property is a resort-type area, so yes..cabins are nearby, but everyone minds their own and gets together when they want. We met a lot of wonderful people there! Great place to unwind, hit the beach and relax. Thank you, Tom & Lue Ann for such a great place to stay.
