Nice stay

Nice place , clean and comfortable. Would like to be able to check in a little earlier without a high charge to do so, other than that , would stay again.

We had a nice stay. The exterior tables and rails needed to be cleaned. I did not care for the parking, as I did not like walking across to the parking lot.

Dear Theresa, Thanks for visiting! We wish you had contacted us about your patio issues as we would have gladly sent someone back to you. We do not clean patio rails regularly, but would have accommodated you. Many resorts on the West end have parking across the street with a crossover and sorry you did not like it. Hope you enjoy our beautiful beaches!

Everything is broken or dirty

The check-in and communication was easy, and that’s where the good ended. We love this side of PCB and have stayed next door at the Celadon many years but saw the pool situation and thought our kids would love it. The pools are not worth the hassle. We ran into others who had the same experience in different units so it seems to be a problem at Splash.Here is a list of issues we had:The dishwasher does not work. The pods were not even dissolved but the dishes from the previous stay had been put away nasty.The washing machine smells like poop due to the seal on the frontThe fold out couch was bent so it took two people to get back inThe mattress of the fold out had mold on the bottomThere is mold in the duct workEvery flat surface was covered with food or felt greasy like it had never been wiped downThe property manager offered to have housekeeping come and/or maintenance but we did not want people in the unit with our belongings.The main areas of the resort were not well maintained. There are rules posted by the pools but no one is there to enforce them. Our kids got hit by balls being thrown multiple times even though there were signs specifically stating no balls should be in the pool.I am not one to complain about anything, but I used the reviews to book this condo and felt like others need an honest review.

I’m truly sorry that your stay did not meet expectations, especially after choosing our condo based on previous positive reviews and your love for this side of PCB. For certain items such as appliances, we do rely on guests to let us know if something is not functioning properly, as housekeeping and staff do not routinely operate the dishwasher, washer/dryer, coffee maker, etc., during turnover. That said, the cleanliness concerns you described — particularly regarding the dishes, washing machine odor, sleeper sofa, and overall condition of surfaces — should never have occurred. That is not the standard we expect for our guests, and I sincerely apologize that this was your experience. When our property manager offered to send housekeeping and maintenance, it was in an effort to correct the issues immediately and make your stay more pleasant. I completely understand your hesitation to have additional people in the unit once you were settled with your belongings, but I truly wish we had been able to resolve those concerns for you at the time. Please know your feedback has been taken seriously. We are addressing these matters directly with both housekeeping and maintenance, and reinforcing our inspection procedures to ensure this does not happen again. I’m also sorry to hear about your experience with the resort’s common areas and pool rule enforcement. While those areas are managed by the HOA and not individual owners, that does not lessen your frustration — especially when it affected your children’s safety and enjoyment. We have forwarded your comments to the resort management so they are aware of the concerns. We genuinely want every family who stays with us to have a clean, comfortable, and enjoyable experience. Your comments are not taken lightly, and we truly appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention so they can be corrected. Again, I’m very sorry for the disappointment you experienced. I do hope that, despite everything that occurred, you were still able to enjoy our beautiful beaches and your time in PCB.

Splash Resort, Yes! This condo, no

Splash Resort was located just a couple of miles down from the pier and felt like a private beach outside and we even took advantage of the jet ski rental right outside the condo. They had a large number of pools that weren't overly crowded when we were there.Registration/check in was terrible. We couldn't check in until 4pm so we got there around 4:30pm and the person was on break so we had to wait nearly 30 minutes before we could get our wrist bands and parking pass. Once the registration person got back she was extremely rude and unwelcoming. One of the 2 elevators was broken when we got there so it took a while to get in an elevator (because everyone was all checking in with lots of luggage at the same time). However, it was fixed by the next day which helped speed up the wait time to get on the elevator. Our condo was in dire need of maintenance. The washer had a moldy rubber seal that smelled awful. The coffee table had a crack in the side and looked it was about to fall apart. The couch squeaked every time you sat on it and when you pulled it out it was extremely lumpy and uncomfortable. The blinds in the bedroom had a inch of dust. The tub in the master bath was in need of replacement. Overall, I would stay at Splash Resort again but would not rent this same condo again.

I’m truly glad to hear that you enjoyed Splash Resort itself — the beach location, the pools, and the convenience of the jet ski rentals. It’s wonderful to know those parts of your trip were memorable and enjoyable. I’m very sorry, however, that your experience with the condo and check-in process was disappointing. The registration desk and elevator operations are managed by the resort, not individual condo owners, but I absolutely understand how frustrating it must have been to wait after a long travel day — especially when the interaction felt unwelcoming. We will be sure to pass your comments along to resort management, as the arrival experience is so important. Regarding the washer, front-loading machines do require the door to be left open between uses to prevent moisture buildup and odor. We do ask guests to leave the washer door open for this reason, but we understand that this can sometimes be overlooked. Thank you for bringing this to our attention — we will review and address the washer seal to ensure it is properly cleaned and maintained. We also appreciate you pointing out the other maintenance concerns. Your feedback helps us identify areas that need attention so we can make improvements for future guests. I’m sorry we did not deliver the experience you expected in this unit. We truly value your feedback and hope that if you return to Splash in the future, you might consider giving us another opportunity to provide you with a much better stay.
