Just moments away from Trachilos beach.Perfect for a long stay,especially for travelers who seek to enjoy the famous beaches of western Crete, such as Balos,Falasarna & Elafonisi. Its fireplace makes it also ideal for winter trips.Breakfast supplies included.
The cottage is located next to the port, making travelling to Balos particularly easy. The architectural design of the house is such that air-conditioning is not required (although is provided as of the 1st of April 2015), not even the hottest days of summer. On winter, the fireplace and the additional heaters that are provided make an indeed cozy nest for you to enjoy.
We aim to give you full privacy during your stay, but if you need us we will be happy to help you in any way possible.
The position of our cottage is ideal for daily trips to western Crete (Balos, Gramvousa bay etc). Also it is near the village of Kasteli so you won't be far from supplies and other services you might need. Not 5 minutes by car from the house, there are 2 of the best fish taverns we have visited so far. Of course we should mention the lovely beach that is 2 minutes away on foot from the cottage.More details will be available to you at our guest book as soon as you arrive.
There is public transportation to our cottage. If you are traveling with your car you can safely park it within the house premises.
In case you need to rent a car, let us know; we can secure probably the best deal you can find.
Trying to make you feel at home, I will provide you all the bedding and towels you might need.Breakfast supplies are included. To be more exact, as you arrive you will find a fridge and a cupboard filled with delicious traditional and continental goodies - we are sure that you will love it!
Any & everyone is welcome at our cottage, as long as they are well-mannered. You can also bring your pet, as long as you are responsible for it and anything they do. Smoking is allowed.

Parfait !

Belle maison, beaux paysages, beaucoup de très bons restaurants. Plage accessible à pied. Spyros et Sophia sont des hotes à l'écoute et aux petits soins pour nous ! Bel endroit pour decouvrir l'ouest de la Crête !

Ruhiges Ferienhaus nahe Kissamos

Das Ferienhaus von Sofia und Spyros ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Wir wurden trotz später Anreise herzlich willkommen. Für das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen war alles da und reichte noch paar weitere Tage. Die Betten waren komfortabel und wir haben uns gut erholt. Der Westen Kretas ist mit Mietwagen gut erkundbar. Schnorcheln und Baden sind unsere Leidenschaft und wir konnten diesen nahe des Ferienhauses an einem schönen Sandstrand mit Dusche (6 min Fußweg) auch nachgehen. Jederzeit konnten wir uns bei Spyros per Chat melden und Fragen stellen, die meistens nach paar Minuten auch beantwortet wurden. Das schöne Ferienhaus ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Relaxing time in the cottage

We had a great time in the cottage. The House is fitting perfectly into the landscape. Enough space for 5 to 6 people. Cozy living room and very nice welcome by the landlords. The house has now a Jacuzzi which we already enjoyed. We would definitely recommend to book this cottage if you want to have a good time with your family make some trips to the nicest beaches of Crete and to visit the cities around. We would definitely book it again.

Nice place

Good location for various nice beaches, tavernas, etc. Nice property/beach house. Great hosts and hospitality. Was nice for family. Super close to one beach, while many others within short drive. Town nearby for shopping.

Peace and Serenity with amazing views

I can’t say enough about our hosts or the property. We were looking for a place away from it all with ocean views, a fireplace, a bathtub, and Wi-Fi. Everything surpassed our expectations. The house is so much bigger than the pictures represent. The Wi-Fi allowed three of us to work full-time back in the United States including zoom, teams, and webex meetings. Literally a three minute walk to the beach where we went tide pooling and found an octopus that we played with for an hour and collected sea glass. Up the windy mountain ate spectacular views although we were mostly distracted by the goats with bells wandering the hillside. If you are looking for serenity and peacefulness with a hot bath, a well stocked fireplace, views, great hosts that stocked our kitchen, this is your place. Thank you hosts.

Lovely character home

Thank you Spyros and Sofia for being such generous and gracious hosts. We loved your home. We also loved the location, close to the beach and also that it was peaceful and quiet. This house works for a couple wanting a romantic getaway or a family that needs space to spread out. Thank you again - two thumbs up from us!

Wonderful Holiday with beach view

The house is really nice and also a good starting point to visit some of the best beaches on crete. But also the local beach is very good and we enjoyed it on several days with our young daughter.. There is a play ground and a shower. The house is well equipped and we enjoyed the sea view and the sun downs every evening . Mostly everything you might need is available in the house so contact Spyros if you need something or wonder if you have to buy it on your own. We can definitely recommend it.

Really relaxing and enjoyable.

We stayed here as a family with 3 children. We arrived after midnight but were greeted very friendly and even got a midnight pizza, because we were so hungry after a delayed flight. The house had everything we wished for. We especially liked the view at the sea from the kitchen and sitting outside. Our host had lots of tips for us and showed us our favorite restaurant in Grambousa, nearby. We can recommend the house fully if you are looking for a quiet an relaxing place for your holiday. Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Drei Wochen Kissamos

Wir hatten einen unglaublich schönen Urlaub! Das Haus liegt sehr gut und hat alles, was man so braucht! Man ist in 5 Minuten fussläufig am Strand, die bekannten anderen Strände sind sehr gut, schnell und unkompliziert von der Location erreichbar! Der Vermieter ist wirklich sehr nett und hilfsbereit!Ausserdem gibt er sehr gute Tips für Sachen, die man auf der Insel unternehmen kann! Wir waren insgesamt mehr als zufrieden!!!

Große, zweckmäßige Ferienwohnung

Schönes und zweckmäßiges Ferienhaus mit viel Platz innen. Die Einrichtung ist auch sehr gut und der Vermieter sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist auch gut, direkt am Meer und nicht weit nach Kissamos oder zu den verschiedenen Stränden. Außen am Haus kann man toll auf der großen Terrasse sitzen. Diese und das Gelände drum herum ist allerdings sehr nüchtern, ohne Geländer, Pergola, Pflanzen etc. fanden wir es nicht ganz so gemütlich, insbesondere bei Wind. Schatten ist auch nicht vorhanden, wir hatten allerdings einen Sonnenschirm. Von den Zimmern hintenraus ist der Blick nicht ganz so toll, man schaut auf eine Fabrikhalle, bzw. Autostrasse.

Großes Ferienhaus mit Meerblick

Im Juni besuchten wir den Westen von Kreta und fanden Unterkunft im Ferienhaus von Spyros und seiner Frau. Wir wurden herzlich von den Beiden empfangen. Der Kühlschrank und die Obstschale waren gefüllt und wir bekamen gute Tipps für Restaurants, Strände und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Das einfach, geräumig und zweckmäßig eingerichtete Ferienhaus bietet Platz für mindestens 6 Personen. Der nahegelegene, ruhige Strand ist in 5 Minuten erreichbar. Die größeren Städte im Norden sind mit Mietauto gut erreichbar, ebenso die großen Sandstrände. Eine Beschattungsmöglichkeit für den Außenbereich hat uns gefehlt. Das Objekt hat eine gute Ausgangsposition für Ausflüge und Badetage, liegt ländlich ruhig und ist für Familien mit Kindern geeignet.

we enjoyed this very nice house in a quiet area on the west coast of crete. it is very close to a small quiet beach. the owners were very kind and provided a breakfast start package. they were also very helpfull with organising a car and with tips for the area

Super maison

Maison très agréable, où il fait bon vivre, vu sur la mer, possibilité d aller à la plage à pied, très belle région avec les plus belles plages aux alentours, balos, elafounissi et tant d autres... Chania grande ville la plus proche Maison tout équipé, 3 chambres, grand séjour, grande terrasse, wifi et Netflix, voisinage très calme C est notre 2eme séjour dans cette maison et ce ne sera pas le dernier 😉 Propriétaires très agréables, petit déjeuner offert ( très agréable de pouvoir faire un repas sans à avoir à chercher le magasin le plus prêt pour faire des courses aussitôt arrivé ) 😊😄👍😉👌🏖🏝☀️❤️

We felt at home in this cottage

Sofia and Spyros made sure we had everything we needed. They suggested a number of excellent restaurants nearby and helped us with all our questions. The cottage is comfortable and there is enough room for a sizeable group -- the living and dining rooms are spacious and there are 3 bedrooms. The views are gorgeous: the Gramvousa peninsula and sea on one side and olive grove-covered hills on the other. You smell sea, thyme and sage and you hear chickens, sheep and goats at neighboring properties. While great beaches are a short drive away, the beach behind the cottage is fine and we found on the last day we did not use it quite enough. We hope to be back to explore western Crete and enjoy the kindness of its people again.

Authentischer Blick aufs Meer

Nach einem freundlichen Empfang von Sofia und Spyros haben wir uns in deren Ferienhaus sofort sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Außerdem findet man alles, was man braucht, vor allem die Grundausstattung für ein leckeres Frühstück. Der Blick über das Meer und den gegenüberliegenden Berg haben wir täglich, ob bei Kaffee oder Wein, sehr genossen. Das Ferienhaus ist eine gute Ausgangsposition für Ausflüge an die wunderschönen Strände, Schluchten und Städte in der Umgebung. Abschließend können wir das Ferienhaus nur jedem, der die Ruhe liebt und keine sterile Hochglanzatmosphäre erwartet , weiterempfehlen.

Ein nettes, ursprüngliches Haus in ruhiger Lage

Wer die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit sucht, wird an dem Cottage Gefallen finden. Das einfache und zweckmäßig, aber liebevoll eingerichtete Haus dient als guter Ausgangspunkt an die berühmten Strände der Westküste Kretas. Das großzügige Wohnzimmer, die drei Schlafzimmer, die geräumige Küche und die große Terrasse bieten ausreichend Platz für sechs Personen. Der Hausstrand ist 200 Meter fußläufig und nicht überlaufen. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Die abendliche Mittelmeeratmosphäre mit Meeresrauschen lässt über die zum Teil griechische Einfachheit hinwegsehen. Wir können das Haus voll weiterempfehlen.

Agréable maison familiale

Nous avons passé une très belle semaine dans la maison de Sofia & Spyros. Celle-ci est spacieuse, avec 3 chambres, à quelques minutes à pieds d'une petite plage agréable. La maison est bien équipée, et tous les ingrédients pour se préparer un petit-déjeuner sont offerts (beurre, café, thé, confiture, oeufs, jus d'orange, lait...). La localisation est pratique pour visiter la côte Ouest : Falassarna à 10 mn, Balos pas loin non plus. Nous avons aussi rayonné jusqu'à Elafonissi et Paleochora sans problème. Chania est à moins d'1 heure en voiture. Il y a une Télé avec abonnement Netflix que nous n'avons pas utilisée et une bonne connexion Wifi. Merci encore à Sofia et Spyros pour leur accueil !

sistemazione molto molto buona

La casa è molto più spaziosa di quello che ci aspettavamo e fornita di tutto in abbondanza (piatti, pentole, ciotole ecc.). I divani sono comodissimi! Noi eravamo 6, 2 adulti e 4 figli e ci siamo stati molto comodi. La sistemazione delle finestre rende sempre la casa ben areata, non abbiamo mai usato l'aria condizionata. La posizione è silenzionsa (sentivamo il canto del gallo e le caprette) e ottima per visitare la parte occidentale dell'isola, in particolare Falassarna, Balos ed Elafonissi che sono bellissime. Il cortile attorno è spazioso, ma poco sfruttabile perchè molto assolato. Personalmente metterei qualche albero e qualche bella coloratissima bouganville e sarebbe perfetto! Purtroppo non siamo riusciti ad incontrare personalmente Spyros e Sofia, ma tramite mail o telefono era possibile contattarli in ogni momento. Noi la consigliamo sia per famiglie che per gruppi di amici.
