Pelican Harbor is situated directly across the street from the historic salt marsh boardwalk and Morningstar Marina, From the large private 2nd floor deck, you have stunning water views of both the Old Baldy and Oak Island lighthouses as well as all the boat and ship traffic moving across both waterways. You can easily watch the boats and birds right from the deck while drinking your morning coffee.

Pelican Harbor is a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom 1300 sq. foot condo that is fully equipped to meet all your family’s needs. As you step inside, you'll be greeted by a fully stocked kitchen, complete with a 14-cup drip coffee maker, a single pod Keurig, microwave, stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and all the necessary amenities and dishes needed to whip up and serve delicious meals. The condo has a large open living dining areas with seating for the whole family. There is a dining table for four and a bar with 4 barstools. We provide paper towels and some Keurig pods. The condo also has a full-size washer and dryer stack for you to use to during your stay. Laundry supplies are provided for your connivence. Unwind in the cozy living room, where you can enjoy the smart TV with satellite/cable channels and streaming options. Or, you can curl up with a good book from the selection provided. There are 3 TVs within the unit, one in the large living area, and one in each of the two bedrooms, so everyone has options for viewing and/or gaming. One of the most relaxing area is on your private deck where you can enjoy your sunrise and sunset views while watching all the boating activities along the Intracoastal waterway and mouth of the Cape Fear River.
There is a king bed in the primary bedroom and 2 twin beds in the second bedroom. Each bed has all linens supplied. The king bed has 6 pillows, and each twin bed has 2 pillows and wedge pillow headboards. There is also a queen-sized air matters available. The sofa in the living area pulls out into a queen-sized bed as well. The ensuite bath has a step-in shower and handheld showerhead. The 2nd bathroom has access from the hall and the 2nd bedroom. It has a full-sized jetted tub with a handheld showerhead. Numerous bath towels, hand towels, washcloths and bathmats are all provided.
You have your own designated parking space that can accommodate 2 sedan sized cars or one truck. There are also numerous parking spaces available in the condo parking lot. The condos have an elevator in the parking area, so the 2nd floor is easily accessible.
We have attempted to assist those that may require more accessibility options. The toilets are 19" high; we have a shower stool and a threshold ramp available that can be set up prior to your arrival if needed. Please just reach out to discuss your specific needs. Southport offers many kid-friendly fun activities with its historic riverwalk, pirate-themed Maritime Museum, the old jailhouse, and nearby beaches. The museum has various scavenger hunts that are always a favorite. There are numerous hidden geocaches in and around Southport which offer fun, adventures and educational problem solving for the kids of all ages. Pelican Harbor welcomes children of all ages.
You might enjoy going out and about for a walk. Southport is a very walkable community, the whole area is an easy stroll from the condo. If you are lucky, it's possible that a Southport Gooney Bird might just find you as you walk around the town. A Gooney Bird is sure to bring joy! Southport is a dog friendly town. Pelican Harbor at Harborside welcomes dogs, but unfortunately, we cannot allow cats. Dogs are welcome throughout the town including in numerous nearby restaurants and patios. You will see lots of dogs strolling by the condo with their owners tethered to them. There are numerous dog parks in the community for off leash fun as well. Please let us know if you plan to bring your canine dog(s) during your stay.
The condo is thoroughly cleaned between each guest's stay according to VRBOs best practices. We guarantee you a clean comfortable space. Our cleaning practices are fully detailed within the rental contract.

Oak Island with its beautiful Caswell Beach Public Beach Park is just a few miles (8) away. Caswell beach has free parking, convenient ramps and allows dogs year-round. It’s an easy 10-minute drive from the condo.
