Really liked the floor plan of the house. Plenty of rooms and bathrooms. Pack beach towels, didn’t find any in the house.

House was a good size for our family. We could tell that parts of the home were just recently renovated, as the pictures looked older than the actual rooms. There were a couple spots on the deck that need addressing - nails that need to be put back down. But we love how close the home is to the beach (10-15 steps!), which is nearly all that matters to us.

The house was ideal, the open floor plan helped us enjoy the amenities and each other. With 4 bedrooms and baths there was plenty of space to spread out and still have a little privacy. The only problem with the bedrooms was that two of the rooms had no furnishings other than the beds. There was no where to put your clothes. No bedside tables for a lamp or personal items. The kitchen was well stocked.The house was reasonably clean with a few exceptions. Having stayed there before, the remodeling and fresh paint was a pleasant update giving the whole house a bright new look.We would definitely book again!

We regret that two of the bedrooms lacked furnishings beyond the beds and will look into this. Thanksgiving at the beach

Our family stayed at the beach for thanksgiving and we had a wonderful time making many memories. The property was perfect for our event. We will diffinately be back.

Wonderful place for a family vacation

We enjoyed everything about the home, and the layout of the rooms were perfect. The unit was well supplied with everything you could possible need. We all enjoyed the decks and being right on the beach. We would definitely plan another trip here.

Right on the beach

Loved being so close to the beach. Nothing fancy, but everything you could want. Well equipped kitchen and loved being able to use the beach tent.

This was such an amazing stay! The location was everything! Beach just steps from the porch, Virtually private, and views from virtually every room. The location is just far enough away to feel secluded, but still close enough to the city to pop in for all that St. Augustine has to offer. There was a turtle nest roped off just off the porch, and for other nature lovers, the Guana Tolomato Matanzas Estuarine Research Reserve is just a mile or so up the road. This was not on my radar to visit, but I mention it because it was so amazing (load up on the bug spray). Dog friendly, and the pups were blown away by the experience. Sip your coffee on the porch in the morning at watch the sun rise, the waves crash, the dolphins play, and the pelicans float on the breeze. A neighbor had visited with us and had apparently caught a Hammerhead that day! This is a comfortable home with a comfy couch to sit with your family. the kitchen is well appointed enough for pretty much anything your cooking up. Plenty of bathrooms for your group too.

Beach trip with friends

We had a very enjoyable time. The location is wonderful. Not many things are better than sitting on the porch, looking at the waves and watching the sun rise. The house was clean, everything we needed was provided and being all one level was great.

Great family times

Property was nice for our times together. It was great having the dogs with us. Great being right on the beach. Had problems with the TVs in the two twin bed rooms.

Great break from Pandemic

Property was as described as pictured. Dated, but great access to beach and location. Everyone had their own bathroom bedroom which was great. We picked a great week ... weather was perfect.

Spring Break

It’s hard to beat the location of this property. Boogie boarding , fishing , sea shell collecting and all types of beach activities are literally out your back door. We will repeat !

Close to St. Augustine

I have been in many rentals. Ocean's Edge was the cleanest. For an older home it was well maintained. If I go to St. Augustine again, I would stay here.

Very nice beach cottage

This is a very clean and neat cottage right on the beach. Everything is clearly labeled and appears to work well. There was lots of water pressure in the showers and plenty of hot water. Also used the washer and dryer successfully. Overall a great place for a relaxing stay on the beach.

Our favorite! Worry-free!

Ideal worry free spot to relax at the beach with kids & grandkids! This is our 2nd stay at Ocean’s Edge. It’s an older property with a great floor plan and a comfortable “lived-in” feel. Everything we needed was there. The furnishings are well used & well loved. (We’ve rented newer, fancier properties on this beach but this house is our favorite!)

Fantastic ocean front

Nothing beats being right on the beach - and this house has a fantastic spot, steps from the beach. We enjoyed our stay very much. As per other reviews, I agree that the house is dated and could use some updates and lacks some of the amenities I am used to at other places. But overall, loved our stay and would recommend staying here.

Great home/ great location

The home was beautiful. It had everything from towels to sheets to pillows. Anything you can think of for cooking meals to popping bottles. The beach was amazing. Sunset and sunrises were just gorgeous! St. Augustine was a great area to visit as well. LOVED LOVED LOVED it! Thank you for allowing us to use your home!

Perfect beach front home. Parking was easy and the house was spacious and comfortable.

The house was perfect for our beach vacation. It was spacious and literally on the edge of the ocean. Each bedroom had its own bath, the deck across the back of the house was perfect for watching the sun rise and relaxing, the front of the house had a courtyard that was very roomy. There was an abundance of parking that made for easy loading and unloading. The house was convenient to Publix and downtown St. Augustine. Lovely home and a great place to stay!

Ocean experiences

Great ocean view.There for Mayo Clinic tests with my husband, so kids could enjoy the ocean while we were at the hospital every day. We could decompress on the back porch every evening.Furniture showing some wear and tear, but beds very comfortable.

We loved this house. The view was amazing. Step off the deck and your on the beach. Can not get closer. There was plenty of space for everyone. Our dog loved it also. Publix is a quick ride.

Oceans edge for real

This is an older home and we loved it!!! With children and dogs we felt right at home. It was well supplied with kitchen items and with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms everyone had their own space. I would suggest a king mattress pad as they are really 2 twins pushed together. We will definitely stay again!!!

**This property is an absolute nightmare and completely unacceptable for a vacation rental.** From the moment we arrived, we found a filthy and unsafe house: cracked ceilings, cockroaches throughout the property, bathrooms smelling strongly of urine, and a kitchen with sticky, dirty cabinets and countertops. The floors were covered in sand even though we had not even been to the beach.The safety issues are even more alarming: fire alarms without batteries, broken lights and lamps, electrical outlets with cables exposed, making strange noises, and breakers repeatedly tripping. One bedroom door even has **visible blood stains**, and the entire deck has **exposed, rusted nails**, creating an extremely dangerous risk of injury.We were traveling with an elderly family member with disabilities who was genuinely afraid to use the bathroom because of the cockroaches. This is not a matter of expecting luxury—it is a matter of **basic cleanliness, safety, and human decency**. What was supposed to be a long-awaited family weekend has become a frightening and deeply disappointing experience.We did request a change of property without any luck, we were told we would be contacted by the manager once they review the information. Although, the last day of our stay we had a visit from a representative who was astonished by the condition of the house and took some pictures, we never received a follow up, even after we kept sending emails.
