If you want to enjoy Cape May in a beautiful location, The Eldredge House is one of the most historic homes in the region. You get country charm and more privacy than most rental homes, but with modern, updated amenities.

Another thing that sets it apart from many rentals is the fact that ALL the rooms have a private bath. You get 4 bedrooms and 4 baths! Four bedrooms also have a flat screen TV's and the entire property has wireless internet. The Bonus bedroom is a small sun porch that has a full size futon available in it. 3 bedrooms are en-suite

Helpful in the busy season is the private drive to lots of off-street parking.

Located an easy walk (4/10's of a mile) from Cape May's most beautiful beach, the Cove, you also get some quiet and privacy away from the huge crowds. The Cove Beach is known for its views of Cape May's famous lighthouse.

There are lots of places to hang out. The home offers two living rooms, one with a large flat screen tv, and the other for hanging out with friends, relaxing or reading a book.
The dining room is also located with easy views of nature.

Or if you enjoy cooking out, there is a gas grill and an outdoor seating area on a charming stone patio... again, surrounded by lots of flowers.

This charming home is a perfect getaway for creating family memories... We look forward to sharing it with you in its premiere season!

Within steps are three favorite restaurants, a gourmet Coffee Bars, as well as a West Side Market and Deli.

For your protection never wire money to any rental property. We will never ask for you to wire, only accepting personal checks or via VRBO/Home Away payments, and we ask that reservations needs to be confirmed with a phone call. Be safe of Scams out there.

Family Trip

We had a great stay at the Eldredge House. The house is full of charm and well stocked. Todd was very helpful with information on where to go and what to do in the area.

Beautiful Historic Home

Great central location, but set back in a garden so it's a quiet setting. Loved the beach box. The owner is easy to work with and provided excellent information.

July 4th

Our family had a great time at Eldredge House. It was so hot the week we were there and the AC in the house was great! Kitchen was perfectly equipped as were all the bedrooms. Thanks Todd for a great stay! We’ll be back.

Great Location

This was a family vacation with our family of 8 and two toddlers. The house was very centrally located to lots of good places within walking distance. Washington Street and beach are a 15 minute walk. Todd was very responsive and helpful with any issues or questions we had. We liked the quiet street and the West side in general is nice and quiet.

one suggestion: Husband and I were staying in Hattie's room, I think. You need to put up a little sign in the bathroom showing where the electrical outlet is located by the sink. It took us 3 days to notice it behind the table. :)

So sorry for that most older homes have sockets directly down from the light switch like ours. We would as always answered you promtly if you ever had a question about anything. Most host will respond quickly with any answers etc. For us an 8 out of 10 is a failure to our guests. let us know what else we could have done to bring it up to a 10. We would really like to know and appreciate your feedback on how we can improve thank you, Todd and family.

The best place we've stayed in all the years coming to Cape May

Todd was a fantastic, responsive host. The house was clean. It was awesome not having to bring linens. There were 9 of us in our multi-generational family, including a two year old. There was plenty of room. We hope to be able to return.

Charming Comfortable House

We had a wonderful time. The house is great for a large group - lots of space and bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped. It is convenient to have the parking in back of house. The neighborhood streets off Broadway are beautiful and quiet. The walk to the beach is about 15 min. We did some shuttling of people to beach which worked well. Having bikes is useful too. We had a lot of fun and a memorable 4th of July (great fireworks viewing from the beach).

We had a lovely time. Todd was very helpful in orienting us to the house and the neighborhood, which included some fabulous places to eat. The house had a lot of charm and every modern convenience we would want.

Beautiful Cape May Stay

Beautiful home in Cape May, with all the charm and antiquity of the Victorian era. This home had everything we needed, phenomenal WiFi, and a great location. Todd is an amazing host, knowledgeable of the history of the home, city, events, and was friendly and available our whole trip. Thanks for a great stay.

Wonderful house and stay

We spent a week here at the end of August 2020 and it was an amazing time. The house is beautiful, well cared for and has a ton of charm. The spaces are super clean and the furniture is comfortable. If you are looking for a house to call home for your vacation, this is it. I love the feel of an antique home and this place does not disappoint. I stayed here with my husband, 8 year old son and mother-in-law and we all loved it. The location is perfect if you are looking to be out of the fray a bit. It was close enough to get to everything, but the block was nice and quiet. We ended up driving everywhere, but if you rent a bike you’d be OK too. There are also a lot of places nearby to eat. Having off-street parking was such a boon. Todd was a super host in all senses. He was so responsive and helpful with recommendations. We had a situation occur mid-week and he was right there to fix the issue. Due to COVID, we weren’t really able to interact face to face, but we talked via text and phone and he was delightful. I would not hesitate to stay here again. It was a fun and relaxing time! 5 stars!

Great place!

We booked Eldredge House for a three-family, three-gen week. It was an ideal choice. The house was lovely - each bedroom had its own bathroom - and we could park three cards (2 of which were SUVs) easily. It hurricaned during our week, and Todd was right there to move the tree branch that fell on one of our cars (no damage, thankfully). Would rent again in a heartbeat. (Our sole 4/5 rating was due to the outside furniture.)

Wonderful stay, property manager couldn't be anymore accommodating!

We just got back from our stay at the Eldredge House with a family of grandparents, teens, adults and a 2yo - and it was a great place for everyone. As many have reviewed, the farmers market on Tuesday is a delicious treat and relaxing evening. It's only minutes driving to the Beach Plum farm - and a short walk into town. The beach box came in super handy, and prior to checking in Todd added more umbrellas to ensure there was plenty of shade! I could rant on and on, but if you like a little of history and charm, you can't go wrong.

We really love the historic Eldredge House, it's so great for us to live in a part of history and not just your typical vacation rental. They home dates back to 1778 and has modern updates but still maintains its historic character. Well worth a visit when in Cape May.

Awesome Home close to everything , Great Off Street Parking too

We had a great stay at The Eldredge House in Cape May. It is just a ten minute walk to the beach and very close to shops , coffee bars and great restaurants. We liked that every bedroom had its own bathroom and flat screen tv with expanded cable made it extra nice. We will be visiting again very soon.

Lovely home!

We had a wonderful experience. Todd was extremely receptive to our needs and offered great suggestions. The house has everything you could want and more. We used the grill one night and used the crock pot another. The house was about a 10 minute walk from the beach. Easy to bike ride to many destinations. Close to wineries, breweries, and a distillery. Beach box was a plus as there were many chairs for all of our adults. Overall, this place is a gem! Empenada Mama's and Cape May Crab Cakes at the Farmer's Market are delicious and a must do. Loved the music there as well.

Imagine having dinner together, surrounded by nature, and then taking a stroll together to the main pedestrian mall for shopping, mini golf and homemade fudge.
