An un-belizable month in a gorgeous remote place!
We were fortunate to stay at Vaiana for the month of April. What a wonderful location. We loved being a bit remote, but within 20 minute drive too many restaurants and shops if needed because we had a rental car. This location would be tough without a car. The entire 2nd story of the house is Vaiana. It has two sides with the patio/porch in between. The 2 bedrooms with adjoining jack and Jill bathroom are in one octagonal billing. Then you walk outside across the porch to get to the great room with large kitchen, living room area, dining area, and work space area.
The kitchen is stocked with all appliances you need for cooking as well as a large pantry area to store food. We stayed a month so had a pantry of food items going. The dining table is spacious with 6 chairs, and the living area couches are all comfy recliners. The entire wall facing the ocean side is sliding doors and windows to make the most of these breathtaking views. But my favorite 2 places were outside on the sun deck in between the 2 buildings, and bobbing in the waves of the warm Caribbean ocean just 50 steps from house. There is an outdoor shower to rinse off the salt and sand, and the pool was kept super clean and inviting if you’d rather be in that than the ocean.
We loved that there were laundry facilities on site. Management and owners were super responsive with any questions or concerns. There is AC in each bedroom and also in the great room. One gave out during our stay and was fixed promptly that day.
The only thing a bit strange was that we were required to buy our own toilet paper, trash bags, and paper towels beyond the few that were provided at the beginning. A short stay would not affect this, but we stayed for a month. It’s not a big deal to buy these at a local market if you are staying longer than a week.
We are looking forward to a return stay, hopefully next year!
