Home Away from Home in Carmel.

Named simply 'HOME' this spacious and comfortable Carmel home is located just 3 1/2 blocks from town and a fifteen minute walk to the beach. The house is 2- bedroom, 2- bath, with a den/library that can be used as a 3rd bedroom.

The upstairs master bedroom has a deck and an ocean peek view and its own bath with shower.. This room has 1 queen bed and 1 twin.
The downstairs bedroom has 1 double bed and a beautiful antique bedroom set..
Downstairs bath has both tub and shower.

The den/ library is filled with a wonderful collection of books for your reading pleasure. It has a convertible queen sofa and there is also an inflatable twin available.

Enjoy the nice private, usually sunny courtyard ( no guarantee, but we are in the sun belt of Carmel). Or view the sunset over the ocean from the upper deck off the master bedroom. This also a lovely vantage point for the brilliant stars you can see in Carmel due to the fact that there are no street lights.

Cable TV and wireless availability. TVs in Living room, Den and upstairs bedroom.

No Pets/No Smoking.

Great place

If you love Carmel you will love where you're staying

Truly a Carmel home if you love to walk Carmel and walk down to the beach you're staying on the perfect Street the view from the house is breathtaking looking out at Point Lobos wonderful breakfast restaurants everywhere and like I said just in walking distance you will enjoy your stay and Carmel By the Sea it has its magic and there's a wonderful store steps away from the house a block and a half Nielsen Brothers then you have Surf and Sand for wine and spirits and they're just a block away all down below you do not see any of this when you're at the house but so simple and so close and your choice for restaurants are Unlimited and as I said the most important thing walking distance thank you very much I enjoyed the stay and so will you

We Love To Go "Home" in Carmel

Vacation Home away frim home

Where to begin... The home itself is so quaint & beautiful. You truly feel at home and each room has its own unique look. From the moment you walk in until the moment you wake up to have the morning light & ocean view greeting you. I can say with confidence that never have i stayed in such a comfortable vacation home where I made so many wonderful memories with my family. Not to mention, we were accomidated without hesitation! Quiet Getaway in Carmel

My family and I stayed here (5 adults) for three days and we loved the house! There is plenty of space for everyone, a full kitchen, a barbeque grill in the front patio, and a rooftop deck. There is a market within a three minute walk from the house and the main area of Carmel is also walking distance. Stephanie was a wonderful host. I highly recommend staying here!

Perfect for two couples and a baby

"Home" was perfect for our 3 day weekend. We were two couple and a baby. There is an upstairs master bedroom/bathroom with a twin bed that worked for the couple with the baby. The kitchen is very nice and easy to work in. The location is perfect. Short walk to shops and restaurants. You can also walked to the beach. There are a few hilly streets but easy to navigate.

Homey and comfortable

We had a wonderful stay, just as everyone else has said. Best location, very comfortable, lots of room to spread out, well stocked kitchen, lots of stars at night. All in our group mentioned that it was the first placed away from home that they had no trouble sleeping. It has a safe and timeless feeling.

Lovely House

This house is right on the edge of downtown as described. A short 2 to 3 block walk and you are right in downtown Carmel. The house itself is lovely and very spacious. It has a great patio area up front and some nice skylights in the kitchen give it a very open and bright feeling. The upstairs bedroom is very spacious and excellent for families traveling with kids as we were. The owner was professional in her dealings with us and we had a pleasant experience.

We had an excellent stay at this very clean, comfortable, and convenient home. It was a great place for four adults, a two-year-old, a ten-month old, and a 4 month old. All the necessary conveniences were present to allow us to only eat out once during our stay. This is the first time we stayed anywhere in Carmel that was so close to the main street. It was very convenient to put the children in strollers and walk the 1 1/2 blocks to all the stores and restaurants on Ocean Avenue. The beach was only a few blocks away. Once we arrived, we didn't need to pack the kids in the car again until we left. The owner was pleasant and efficient. We will be back.

Immaculate home with large comfortable rooms, ideal location & gracious host! A wonderful wine & goody basket greeted us. Informative guest book with local attractions & business. Home was very toddler friendly, with a great front courtyard . Quiet street, yet just a short walk to the heart of Carmel. We have rented in Carmel in the past, this is a GREAT VALUE!

Wonderful Home

Our stay at "Home Away" was wonderful. The home is clean, comfortable and well maintained. You really feel at home here. It is very quiet, peaceful and private, allowing for good relaxation inside and outside on all the patio areas. The location is perfect. Just two blocks and you are in downtown Carmel for some of the best dining and shopping you could hope for. Bruno's, a great neighborhood market, is a block away. Location and convenience is the best. The owner responded immediately to any questions and requests. She was most accomodating and a delight to work with. We would highly recommend this home to everyone.

Home from home: clean and well equipped - great base in Carmel.

We came with two teenagers for a 40th birthday vacation near Monterey golf. Loved it! Very homely (well named!) Also really thoughtfully equipped... all those things that you wish rental owners would think about stocking up on, were all here. Can't tell you how much we appreciated being able to cook every night and find everything we needed. Great Weber grill which was spotless when we arrived (looked new). Great to have a couple of different rooms for watching kids TV and quiet adult sitting room too. Ocean peep from the upstairs bedroom was a lovely touch. Enjoyed sitting on the upstairs balcony with a cup of PG tips tea and a chocolate bar! All in all, we would recommend this location and home. Only a 10 minute stroll to the beach and we enjoyed mooching round Carmel. Also really easy to get on and off Highway 1.

Perfect Home in a Perfect Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at “Home” away from home. If you are looking for a place that has history and charm then this is it. This home provides several private locations to relax, including the hammock in the back yard and the upstairs balcony off the master bedroom. It is within walking distance to all the main restaurants, winetasting rooms and shops around Ocean Avenue. We enjoyed the welcome basket snacks and the fireplace added a nice touch to a cool evening. You must consider building a fire on the Carmel-by-the-Sea beach, which is also within walking distance. We will definitely stay at “Home” again and can’t wait to return.

Just right

"Home" was clean and fresh when we arrived, and the location is excellent. There was a good BBQ grill, washer /dryer, off street parking in the driveway and the bed was very comfortable. The deck off the master was especially nice for cocktails at sunset. The house is as it appears in the photos and it had everything we needed. The owner was easy to deal with and we've booked a return visit. I highly recommend this comfy cozy "Home".

A great time was had for MJF!

This is the 2nd time I have enjoyed staying at this lovely "HOME" in Carmel. It is the perfect location for walks downtown and to the beach. Rented for the Monterey Jazz Festival weekend and it, once again, was a lovely, comfortable and warm place to relax. I came with friends this time and with the location of bedrooms and space we all had our private area we could relax in and then enjoy conversation in the kitchen, living room and the wonderful courtyard. We enjoyed wine and appetizers lounging outside in the courtyard before & after running back and forth from the concerts. Clean, neat and has everything you could want.....cozy and comfy.

Perfect place to stay in Carmel!

This cottage was the perfect place to stay in Carmel and truly felt like "Home". My sister and I traveled with our two teenage nieces. There was lots of room for all of us. We were greeted with a surprise Welcome Basket of goodies and wine, which was so nice after our trip. The amenities of the house were unbelievable. The kitchen was well-stocked and we were told to help ourselves. "Home" reminded us of places we stayed at on the East Coast growing up. It was so comfortable and we found ourselves looking forward to going back to "Home" at the end of our busy days. It's only a couple of blocks from the shops and we only used the car when we were doing something outside of Carmel. There's plenty of room to give enough privacy for everyone. The owner, Stephanie, was very pleasant to work with and answered any questions quickly. It was such a pleasant and comfortable home and we are already planning when we can return.

Great location in Carmel

Excellent Vacation Experience

From Grandparents to Grandchildren we all enjoyed our stay at "Home" in Carmel. It is conveniently at the edge of downtown so we had walking access to lots of Carmel attractions. This house has lots of room for our two families and the hosts are generous with providing a nice welcome basket. The next time we want to visit the Aquarium, etc. this place will be at the top of our list.

Great Vacation Home

Charming home with a great location, in a quiet neighborhood that is close to everything Carmel-by-the-sea offers. Walking distance to the beach, shopping and restaurants. My friends and I enjoyed a "girls" get-away there and we are already planning a return trip, we enjoyed it so much. We loved having our morning coffee on the upstairs patio, with a glimpse of the blue ocean over the tree tops. The downstairs patio provided plenty of sun that weekend and was beautifully decorated with potted plants and ivy. We enjoyed that patio relaxing with wine and cheese. Five of us stayed there very comfortably, and would have had room for more. I highly recommend this great vacation home and can't wait to return myself.

'HOME' has been in our family for 3 generations. It has at one time or another been the primary home to each of us.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Very convenient to town and just 2 blocks from the Surf and Sand and Bruno's market, which has a large variety of prepared meals available if you don't feel like cooking but want to stay 'home'. You'll appreciate our location when you look out the window to see the beach is shrouded in fog, but the sun is shining here. Still a short walk down to the beach when that fog cover lifts.
