Beautiful House in Carmel Woods Overlooking the Hatton Canyon.

This beautiful house with its two sunny interior courtyards offers you the opportunity to enjoy an ideal balance of forest peacefulness and fun at the beach. It's hidden among the trees on the edge of Hatton Canyon. It is just 1 1/2 miles across Route #1 to Carmel Beach and the Pacific Ocean. The house is set in a very quiet neighborhood, with a wooded location by day and beautiful starlit nights. This is not a party house location. We ask that you respect the quiet nature of this setting and are considerate to our neighbors' privacy.
The unique design of the house brings natural brightness and beauty into all of the living areas. The terrace overlooking the wooded canyon at the back of the house and the beautifully walled garden and patio at the front are visible through tall glass windows throughout the house. The twelve-foot glass windows come with full-length curtains to close at night.
You won't find a more relaxing vacation property.
It's a fully carpeted, three bedroom, two bathroom, one-story home, fenced to guarantee privacy, with a carport for two vehicles and a long driveway.
The house comes with a complete kitchen, dining area, with settings for 10. There is a large flat panel TV with DVD and expanded cable, including high speed wireless internet connection.

Husband and friends had great time

I personally didn't stay in the house but my husband and his friends did enjoy it while they were there on their fishing trip. The home was well stocked, clean and comfortable. Dealing with the owner was a dream and we would totally stay here again.

Fabulous, Perfect in every way!

We stayed three nights and will be back again. The house is well maintained, clean and perfectly located. Instructions and directions were easy to follow . Located just a few blocks off highway 1, it is perfect in every way. You get exactly what you expected and more. Thank for letting us stay in your lovely home.

Very comfortable stay

The house is very spacious and comfortable and fitted our family of 5 easily. A special compliment how clean everything was, wow! The kitchen is very well equipped, we only used it for some simple stuff, but you can also be the 'chef' you want to be. Good wifi, always a plus with our kids.The neighbourhood is quite and peaceful with deer walking through the backyard. Also it is conveniently locates within 5 minutes to Carmel-by-the-Sea and 10 minutes to Monterey. We can really recommend to stay here.

Open spacious floor plan was perfect for our Monterey peninsula hub for 12 days

The house is in a perfect location for access to the entire Monterey peninsula and Big Sur. We visited Seaside, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach, Monterey, Fisherman's Wharf, Cannery Row, Carmel Beach, etc, etc, etc. None of our destinations required much driving to and fro. The house was comfortable and clean and had all the necessary supplies for a 12 day stay in the area. The courtyard of this home is beautiful and well taken care of. The neighborhood is extremely quite and peaceful. We couldn't have asked for anything more during our stay and this all came at a very reasonable price. Thank you for allowing us to use your home for our trip to visit our son and his family while he is stationed in Monterey.

The house was lovely with a beautiful view of the Hatton Canyon. It accommodating our party of 6 perfectly! Kitchen was well equipped and the living room and bedrooms were all very comfortable. Our only complaint was that we arrived at 3 and the cleaning lady was still there and there was an odd smell. We thought it was going to be fixed by cleaning so we went and did some shopping, got back by 4 but the cleaning lady was still there. So was the smell. It wasn't horrible perhaps just musty carpets - and after being in the house for a bit you didn't notice it. We really enjoyed the backyard and enjoyed the view - the birds were incredible! The walk to town - while it was doableā€¦it was long. Shops were lovely! Cottage of Sweets was one of my favourites! And the pubs and restaurants were great. Would definitely come back to the carmel area, and would stay here again. Thanks Ted!!

Peaceful Forest Setting

This was our 7th extended stay on the Monterey Peninsula and by far is the best property we've rented. Our vacations are successful when there are tons of activities within easy access by car, bike or on foot. We need great restaurants nearby, hiking trails, movie and playhouse theaters, water to enjoy (we live in the desert environs of Southern Utah) and sealife. We need peace and quiet at night and great neighbors to greet when we walk from the house. We need space inside the dwelling so that we can tend to business without bumping into each other, and we need a spacious kitchen with tools to put up everything from snacks to gourmet meals. We need outdoor space to relax, eat a meal, and watch the wildlife that either flies or walks into the yeard. We need a covered place to park the car and we like a well-cared-for landscape. We need a landlord who will answer a text or even a quick cell call to ask them a question or to report a problem. This house, property and owner completely lived up to our needs and expectations. This is a remarkable property and we plan to come back!

Close to downtown Carmel by the Sea

We were in Carmel for a wedding at Pebble Beach. This was a great place to stay. Deer visiting the backyard canyon and warming fireplace to enjoy in the evenings.

Quiet Carmel retreat

Really peaceful, welcoming home. The owners made accessing the home and operating within the home as easy as possible. The location was an easy trip into town and close also to beautiful coastal views. The home was as described - spacious, full kitchen and dining area, separately living/sleeping areas gave the impression of even more space. Only thing we would have changed is the chime outside that at night would have preferred to not heat at bedtime.

Perfect spot to enjoy Carmel

Located in a quiet residential neighborhood just minutes from downtown Carmel, this home was the perfect spot for an annual reunion with 3 long time friends. It's hard to say what we loved most - the amazingly well stocked kitchen that made it possible to prepare pretty much whatever creative dish we decided to make, or the beautifully landscaped outdoor area, where we gathered on the patio every afternoon to enjoy wine and each other's company. Everyone agreed we couldn't have chosen a better home base for this year's gathering!

Quiet gem

The images a description really don't do this property justice. We were very impressed and pleased with the home and location. It felt comfortable and relaxing as soon as we arrived.......not sterile and boring like other properties we've stayed at. Only 5 min from downtown Carmel. Definitely recommend this place.

Fantastic Rental

Loved the house with its beautifully maintained garden wrapped all around. Private and quiet location, though still very close to the center of town. Kitchen is very well stocked with everything we needed. Back yard is fantastic for grilling, with comfortable furniture, umbrella, heat lamp, and an excellent grill. Host was great. Thank you Ted.

Charming, Feng Shei Home in Carmel

We had such a wonderful two weeks staying at your beautiful home in Carmel Woods. From the beautiful back patio amongst the trees and wildlife to the welcoming front entrance, and floor-to-ceiling windows in the dining and living rooms we were captivated by our surroundings. What a great weekend getaway!

We had a wonderful weekend away in a great location. The house was tucked away in a tranquil wooded area but still close to shops, restaurants, wineries, hiking and more. The well stocked kitchen and BBQ allowed us to have a couple of great homemade meals and the weather cooperated enabling us to sit outside for cocktails enjoying the beautiful courtyard. Simple touches made all the difference with new kitchen sponge, fresh soap in each bathroom, and instructions for everything we needed at our fingertips. Thank you for sharing your lovely house to celebrate birthdays.

Great place, GREAT location!

You cannot beat the location of this property. A few minutes drive from all the things you want to see in Carmel... the beach, 17 mile drive, Highway 1... And the house was perfect for my family and a friends who came to stay with us while we were there. There's everything you need to be comfortable, and the house is even bigger than it looks in the photos. I would not hesitate to return and stay again. Beautiful home and area.

The home was large, beautiful and located in a excellent quiet area. I found the home was very clean when we arrived and had all necessary items needed for a stay. The owner left instructions throughout the home making everything very easy. Also included in the owners email was a caution the driveway was steep and may scrape the bottom of your car. I forgot about the caution and did scrape the bottom of my sedan initially. I did exit on an angle and everything was fine. The home was also equipped with air purifiers and several fans. The backyard is beautiful and props and for the cleaning crew as they did an excellent job outside as well. I would definitely rent the home again the next time we visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

We loved the location in a quiet neighborhood 10 minutes from Carmel Beach!

We loved this beautiful spacious home with a backyard view of Carmel Valley! The location allowed for easy beach access and travel around the Carmel and Monterey area. We enjoyed cooking in the well stocked kitchen and sitting by the fireplace in the evening. The outdoor patio area was well used. The home was very clean and well taken care of. Being in Carmel Valley allowed us to enjoy sunshine even when it was overcast at the beach. We look forward to our next stay there!

Fabulous Stay in Carmel/Monterey area

I feel so lucky to be able to stay in this home. So thoughtfully decorated home and well stocked kitchen. It is a very comfortable clean home in a quiet location. Located near everything- grocery stores, gas stations. Monterey Aquarium was about 20 min away. Gas BBQ worked great! Good showerhead. Warm comfortable beds. I wish we could have stayed more than 2 nights. No fan in bathroom but there's a window. I read that there's no A/C but we definitely didn't need it in October. FYI there was shampoo and conditioner for use if you forgot some. Thank you so much for your hospitality!
