Bear camp fortunately without bears seen

Smooth relaxed enjoyable process of reservation and check-in. The house was lovely especially the porches and the Moss lawn. Not walking distance to downtown for most but only a short trip by car

The house was very communicative and also was kind enough to send back to us. Some items we left. However, the property is itself while on a beautiful lot. The interior condition of the home was very poor not clean and I would not ever stay there again.

Lovely fall weekend

Nearly at the top of Big Bear Pen, the leaves are beautiful! Very nicely accomodated with fireplace, comfortable beds, comfortable places to sit, pop popcorn, watch a movie or take a walk. First rate appliances in the kitchen which are easy to use if you want to cook for yourself. Yet it still has that old Highlands charm that you would expect of a real Highlands cottage with heart of pine paneled walls. Friendly checkin and out. Close to town. Lovely!

Nice mountain home

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a dated house but has everything you need. Great outdoor space with fire pit. Functional kitchen with updated appliances. Short drive to downtown and fun outdoor adventures. Working television. Comfortable beds and all kings which was a great perk! My only comments would be that updated bathrooms would be nice. Also, the house smelled a little smoky (like fire pit, not cigarette smoke) but added to the mountain feel. Thankful for a comfortable, affordable place to stay in the Highlands.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Camp Bear Pen didnt have TV service so we moved to another house

We are so sorry the TV service wasn't working when you arrived and glad you were able to find other accommodations. Please come back and try Camp Bear Pen again sometime.

Moldy or musty smell throughout

Will not return. Old and smells like it. Not up to the standards others we have stayed at the pricing
