Enjoy your vacation time in our ocean front cottage! Our little home away from home is the last house on first street on the quiet east end of the beach giving you the most private view on the beach. We are a pet friendly home so your pups can enjoy the ocean breeze while safely secured by gates on both porches. There is also a downstairs outdoor lounge area that is perfect for dining after grilling your favorite meals on the beach!

Beach ocean front. Pet friendly. Exactly what we needed. Open lot adjacent to property. Looking forward to staying here next year. Hopefully without the black flies and sand midges.

Great value for the price

The house is obviously an older house that has been renovated but the location is great. Quiet part of the beach with no houses on one side. Deck is steps from the beach so very easy to run back inside for lunch or a break from the sun. Ocean front benefits for a much better price than many others. Was perfect for our week at the beach and we would definitely stay there again. Only reason not a 5 star overall is because deck furniture was pretty grimy and there were some bugs but I wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Was a great vacation with 5 adults there.

Women’s church beach trip

Every year the ladies at the church get together and stay a weekend at the beach and have daily devotionals, games and just fellowship with each other. This year was extra special and very much needed bc it has been 2 years since our last trip. Us ladies had the best of time and enjoyed our stay in the cottage it was truly perfect. We are so thankful!

Great amenities, great host, very clean and comfortable. Wish the downstairs deck was gated and with fully enclosed railing for dog to be off leash.

House on the beach

The house was suitable for our 4 adults, 1 child and dogs. The price was suitable for the size and location before all the extra fees and taxes are added on to the price. Over 2 grand in pet and service fees and taxes but when you want to be on the ocean and have to bring the fur babies along then that’s the price to pay. There is a nice size rocking chair deck to enjoy the ocean view. The deck under the house was a bonus when we wanted a break from the hot sun and a place for our extended family who was also staying in oib to gather one night for a cookout with the included propane grill that sits on the beach. The 2 queen bedrooms are ocean front as described in listing but also a side ocean view from the 3rd br with the full and twin beds, at least currently unless more homes are built next door to obstruct that side ocean view. The only thing I found to be an inconvenience with the house was no full length mirrors in the home, I didn’t think to add over the door mirror to my Walmart delivery order until the week was over. Would have liked to seen what my outfits looked like before going out. Everything else included in the house to use was all suitable for our week stay.

Beachfront Serenity: A Wonderful Stay

We had the most wonderful stay at this beach cottage and cannot recommend it enough! From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted with stunning views of the ocean and the soothing sound of waves crashing nearby. The cottage itself was cozy and well-equipped, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay, offering a perfect blend of comfort and seaside charm. What truly made our experience exceptional was the thoughtfulness towards our furry family member. The private, pet-friendly (gated!) porches made it so easy for us to enjoy our vacation with our beloved pup who likes to be off-leash but has a tendency to run free, at length, and doesn’t listen well when called. ;) The location was absolutely perfect, just steps away from the beach, allowing us to enjoy morning coffee seaside, take leisurely walks, and enjoy breathtaking sunrise and sunset views each day. While the interaction with the hosts was minimal, the check-in process was smooth and straightforward, and they provided all the necessary information ahead of time. We had a relaxing and peaceful time during our stay, and the location allowed us to explore the area at our own pace. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at this beachfront rental and would absolutely consider staying here again in the future. Thank you for sharing your slice of beachfront paradise with us!

Wonderful

I loved the home and the location was fantastic! They are pet friendly which is what I was looking for! The owner was easy to speak with! I will be returning in two weeks with my husband for another pleasant getaway!

The view was great.

We loved the house and view but, the house was nasty shower curtain in the green tiled bathroom was covered in mold & mildew , floors were nasty. We had to wash the dishes that were left over from the last guest. We spent an hour cleaning before we unloaded the truck. The bottom inside of the trash can in the kitchen had cooking oil in the bottom of it , so it had to be degree’s which also took the smell away . I under stand that the cleaning company has deadlines and a number of houses but they are paid to do a job . A suggestion one train these people . Teach these people how to clean. Teach the ones who do the inspection what to look for. Second put policies in place for cell phones and smoke breaks. The people who own these homes are paying for a service to be done the right way. I am done now thank you .

We had a great week on OIB while staying in this house. We had 2 adults and 5 young adults and had plenty of room. Close Location to the beach was also perfect.

Great Week

We were very pleased with our experience at this home at OIB - We stayed at the far west end for years and really enjoyed the east end too - We enjoyed having our fur babies with us too - We especially enjoyed the back deck of the home - looking out at the ocean - just amazing - We hope to be back next year.

The perfect spot.

Loved the privacy of this location.. The decks are spacious and there are many options on where to sit to enjoy the sound of the waves the beauty of the ocean. Can’t wait to go back!

The owners, Bill and Noreen, first purchased a house at Ocean Isle Beach in the 70's. They are originally from New Jersey, but moved to Charlotte in the late 60's. They immediately fell in love with the island and now have a few other vacation rentals within walking distance from each other. They have 7 children and 9 grandchildren. Ocean Isle has become a true treasure for their entire family. Their youngest daughter, Christine, manages their rental properties.
