This was our 4th biennial visit to Randy's wonderful 4th floor/penthouse condo. Great beachfront location, great views, covered balcony, lots of space (2 bedrooms with doors on the main floor, and a full bedroom/bathroom/hide-a-bed in the loft (which (?unfortunately?) opens to the floor below, so don't expect lots of privacy). The condo has a well-equipped kitchen and enough dishes and glasses, etc. The beach area is spacious and very private for residents. It also has a great pool and hot tub. The location is close to The Times Supermarket which has almost everything one could want/need. The ABC Market/Store, also nearby, has good stuff too. Each evening, an area near Times Supermarket hosts a bunch of food trucks and outdoor eating areas, which is fun (and of course relatively inexpensive). Visiting in December into January, one can watch "up close and personal" (especially with binoculars/monoculars as whales breach/frolic in the marine sanctuary between Lanai, Molokai and Maui. We are already planning another visit in January 2018.

We enjoyed a very comfortable stay at Hale Mahina over New Years and Randy was a welcoming host! The condo has every item you need and anything you want can be easily picked up at the Safeway or ABC store. The balcony views are AMAZING anytime of day!

Randy was very communicative before and during our stay. The home was clean, welcoming, and had everything we needed for our stay. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony every morning looking out at the ocean. We loved feeling like we had our own little beach, wasn't overly crowded ever. Parking was a breeze. Check in/out was easy.

The location allowed us to watch the turtles move through from the balcony. Amazing views. The beach in front was washed away due to the storm the prior week. We were able to utilize the beach next door. My only complaint was no AC. It was warm and the fans were not doing the job.Amazing property.

Die Wohnung ist sehr gerƤumig und hat 3 BƤder. Sie ist schon etwas Ƥlter und abgewohnt. Leider auch nicht gerade sauber. Die Lage ist super. Es gibt Einkaufsmƶglichkeiten und Restaurants in der NƤhe. Jede Menge wunderschƶne StrƤnde in der NƤhe. Leider ist bei der Unterkunft selbst kein Strand Abschnitt mit Liegemƶglichkeit dabei. Man gelangt nur sehr umstƤndlich ins Meer. Der Pool ist schƶn aber es sind keine Spielsachen (Ball, Tauchutensilien usw.) im Pool erlaubt. Also mit Kindern etwas schwierig.

Property is exactly as described! The view is amazing. The space was large enough to accommodate our group of 5, yet cozy enough to come together.The showers were amazing, beds comfortable and the view is insane. My family and I enjoyed the pool and private beach every day...and we were able to snorkel with the turtles. Parking was always available, and the property is not overcrowded.Randy was very responsive and allowed us to check in early. Grounds are well kept and the property manager kept the pool cleaned.Go ahead and click the Book Now button!

Family Reunion in Maui!

I rented 3 units in Hale Mahina to house my family. A friend is an owner there so I knew it must be special. With a sandy beach where you will likely see a turtle resting, and convenient access to experiences that appeal to vacationers, this is a good choice. If you rent more than the penthouse, also get a unit on the 1st floor for easier access to the pool/beach area, but it's ok if you don't. There is an elevator which definitely helps get groceries & luggage up. The view out the wall of windows & from the balcony is absolutely spectacular, whether it's sunsets or rainbows over the azure, clear surf, pure tropic serenity is in front of you.

Our group consisted of 4 adults and two children (8-12year old). Property had plenty of space for us all. Bring on the 4th floor we were able to see all the ocean animal pass by with our morning coffees. The semi private beach was amazing and not too busy. The water were perfect we saw and swam with sea turtles every day we stayed. We got to see a Hawaiian monk seal and dolphins. Randy the property owner was super communicative and checked in on us after a few hours after our arrival to make sure everything went smoothly. I would recommend property to anyone.

This condo checked all the boxes for our family. Location right on the beach, plenty of room for 8 adults and a full kitchen. Check-in and check out was a breeze and communication with the owner was great. We loved the beach in front of the condo, watched turtles and bumped into a seal while snorkeling. There are boogie boards, umbrellas and beach chairs to use. We will be coming back to this property. Thank you Randy for sharing your condo with us!!

Nice place, the host was super responsive and helpful. Everything was clean and great! We saw turtles from the balcony and it was nice to have the beach available. Had beach chairs and boogie boards and an equipped kitchen. New TVs. We had a great stay... There's a grumpy separate complex manager that doesn't like kids in the pool. So if you have younger children that are loud beware they won't be welcome in the pool area. Otherwise it was really great. Super close to a couple snorkeling areas. Water is a little choppy at times to snorkel right around the condo but it's still doable.

Location was perfect and beautiful. The property manager was very attentive and easy to get a hold of we saw so many turtles that come right up to the beach that hang out with you all day. Condo was big and beautiful. Thereā€™s a few bugs from always leaving the blinds and sliding glass doors open that could use a little attending to, there is a lot of pool rules for children was our only downfall but overall everything was amazing!!!

Maui Family Vacation

We had a fabulous stay! The property is well appointed and in the perfect location near North Kaanapali Beach! The grounds of the property are beautiful and the small beach located directly in front offered amazing snorkeling and turtle watching! It felt very private! The unit itself was very spacious and we loved the views from the lanai! Please note that there is no air conditioning at the rental, however, there are plenty of fans that help with the circulation and louvers and screen doors to let outside air in! We would absolutely come back!

Fantastic location

We really enjoyed this spacious condo, the pool and small beach were huge perks and we loved the location within walking distance of several shopping areas, especially Bad Ass Coffee. It was comfortable for our group of 6 and well supplied with beach chairs, towels, boogie boards and everything we needed in the kitchen. The only downside was that it is quite dated. We loved sitting on the balcony watching the whales and gorgeous sunsets.

We both work in some aspect of the television industry. Randy is a director of photography/camera operator and Susan is a producer for a HGTV television show. We lived on Maui for 11 years, but moved to the mainland for work and to be closer to family. We have traveled the world extensively, but always cherish our days on Maui! We love to play golf and tennis and when we are on Maui, we snorkel, kayak, surf, hike and enjoy our friends. We have one daughter and one granddaughter.
(Who are already fighting over the condo, when we die!)
We have been so blessed throughout the years, so we would like to open our home to others, so they may enjoy Maui, as much as we do!

We came to Maui in 1999 to look for an investment property. We weren't that serious about buying, but it was a good excuse to go to Maui. After several days of looking at condo's, we decided to check out golf course properties. We met a realtor, who was showing an open house and told her what we did and what we were looking for. She agreed with us, that a house on a golf course wouldn't work for us. She, however, told us about a condo, that may be coming on the market. It all depended on the current owners search for a larger house. Not five minutes after saying this, the owners of the condo walked in the open house and told the realtor they found a house and wanted to put their condo on the market. Since we were still there, the owners invited us over to their condo.
The moment, we walked into the condo, I knew I was in trouble. It was an amazing condo,with amazing views. We toured the house and I could see in Susan's eyes she wanted it. We went on the lanai to discuss the condo. First of all, it was bigger than we wanted and a lot more money than we could afford for a second home. Susan didn't care, so I told her, if we see a whale breach completely out of the ocean, (as we had a drink on the lanai) we would put an offer in. Well, long story short, a whale breached. My next back up plan was to make an offer so low, that the owners would turn us down. We left the condo, Susan was thrilled we put an offer in. I was thrilled, knowing they would counter and WE could get out of it. NOPE!! That didn't happen, they accepted and now we were going to be Maui Condo Owners.
That night, we were down at our hotels beach, discussing what we had done. At some point during our discussion, we noticed a rainbow starting/ending at Hale Mahina.
With so many signs, we decided to uproot from the mainland and move to Hawaii.
ONE OFTHE BEST DECISIONS, WE HAVE MADE IN OUR LIVES, SECOND TO US GETTING MARRIED!
