We recently spent 17 days at Back of the Moon Cottage while I was recovering from major back surgery. We live over 3 hours from Marshall Hospital where my surgery was performed so I couldn't return home right away. The Cottage was the perfect place for us to stay. It was very clean and very quiet. Kim and Seth were amazing and always available for anything we needed. It was a wonderful experience staying there.

Amazing guests! They were so friendly and easy to communicate with. They followed all the house rules during their stay and left the home super clean when checking out. We would love to host them again anytime!

This house was adorable, well appointed, and welcoming. My family had everything we needed and I appreciated the seasonal decor on the porch and in the house. Kim was a great communicator and host.

We loved our stay at Back of the Moon!! It is a charming cottage that has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Great location close to restaurants and shopping in the quaint town of Placerville. Kim is a fantastic host and great communicator. She accommodated our needs and was quick to respond to our questions. Thank you Kim and Seth for sharing your home with us!

Bill and Doreen were truly outstanding guests. Their communication was excellent from the moment they booked through checkout, and they left our home exceptionally clean. They were also very considerate in taking care of the space, including being mindful about things like adjusting the heat at checkout and leaving the trash cans out for pickup, thank you!! We would gladly host them again anytime and highly recommend them to other hosts.

This was the perfect little house for our trip out to see family in placerville. It was clean, convenient and communication with host was great. Love the little touches they have put into this place including the garden in the backyard. My three year old loved the books and games. Would stay here again.

Excellent Home!

This was an outstanding home to stay in with my family. Centrally located for everything we wanted to do, extremely clean and welcoming. The garden and basketball court in the back was an amazing surprise! Will stay again when we return.

Josh and his family were an absolute pleasure to host. From the very beginning, communication was smooth and clear. They were respectful of house rules, left the space clean and tidy, and treated my home with the utmost care. What really stood out was their thoughtfulness and consideration—whether it was asking about what to do with the towels or making sure everything was as they found it. I would gladly host Josh and his family again and would highly recommend them to any future hosts. Looking forward to the opportunity to welcome them back anytime! Oh my goodness we loved everything about our stay. The house is so cute and cozy. Kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed. We had great communication with the owners and they went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience hosting Luke and Meagan! Their communication was fantastic from start to finish, making the entire process smooth and enjoyable. Wonderful hosts and amazing stay!

Kim was incredibly responsive leading up to our rental dates and was also very accommodating to our needs as we were traveling with our young kids. She set out a pack n play and high chair for us which were in perfect condition and there were books and board games the kids loved. Check in was easy and the rental had everything we needed for our stay. We also loved the handwritten notes in the guestbook, such a nice touch. Highly recommend!

Lovely Place - Great Stay

We loved our stay at Back of the Moon Cottage. The house was clean, spacious, and very comfortable for the 5 of us. The interior is beautifully updated with the the charm of an old home. We were 5 minutes from Placerville and another 10 minutes from a wedding in Apple Hill. We would stay here again in an instant on our next trip to this region. Great host/great place!
