-We provide starter supplies for our guests: 1 single use shampoo and bar of soap per bathroom, 1 sponge, 2 dishwasher tablets, 1 laundry detergent packet, 1 roll of paper towels, 1 small liquid dish soap, and 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, 2 trash bags for kitchen trash cans, 1 trash bag per trash can located outside in the bear cage (total of 2 trash cans outside) All other cabin supplies will need to be provided by the guests i.e. charcoal, etc.

The four bedrooms and 4 baths plus 2 half baths were just right for our family off 9. There was plenty of room for cooking, eating, relaxing, being entertained, and playing. The decks are very nice. The property is easy to get to. The host was helpful. Great property. We would happily stay here again.

Beautiful cabin with lots of room for everyone!

My family had a wonderful time. We were able to all come together and had plenty room for us all. We saw a bear and her two cubs right outside the deck a couple times a day. Beautiful views!

A Memorable Family Retreat with Stunning Mountain View’s.

We had a fantastic family stay at this gorgeous home. The bedrooms were cozy and spacious, each featuring large attached bathrooms. The deck offered stunning mountain views, and the property was peaceful and well-maintained. Our time here created unforgettable memories. We also appreciate the owner’s kindness in allowing us a two-hour late check-out, which made our departure even more comfortable.

This home was perfect for our family of 11. The 4 bedrooms with their own separate bathrooms gave each family privacy and convenience. Each bedroom has its own balcony. The TV room was great and felt like we were at a movie theater. The location is convenient to the Wears Valley area. I would definitely recommend the cabin to friends and family. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The Perfect Getaway with Spectacular Mountain View’s

Our entire family's stay at the cabin was wonderful. The cabin was very clean, spacious, at a great location, not far from attractions, hiking trails, and shopping. The Mountain View’s from just about every room in the cabin was spectacular. The game room is on the bottom floor, which was able to entertain the kids while we relaxed upstairs. The theater room was another bonus on the bottom floor as well. We highly recommend this cabin for couples, families, etc.

We arrived about 30 minutes early and the code was already activated, so we went on in and the cabin hadn't been cleaned at all, I was on the phone with someone for 40 minutes trying to get cleaners there. We had to wait for an extra hour for them to clean the cabin past our check in time. The cleaners did a good job, but the place needs a deep clean, and the repairs need to be addressed instead of just patched up. There was a sewer smell in sink of main floor bathroom and several ladybugs. The air was not working upstairs and I reported it but it was the following day they showed up when it was time for us to check out. The cabin could be a really nice place but issues need to be addressed in a timely manner. The price of that cabin per night was way overpriced for the quality of service.

We want to provide important context to this review. The guest arrived prior to the scheduled check-in time without approval for early check-in on a high-volume Christmas turnover day. Due to back-to-back holiday reservations, the cleaning team was running approximately 45 minutes behind, which was promptly addressed once we were notified. The cleaning team completed the service thoroughly. Regarding maintenance concerns: • The air conditioning system was fully operational during the stay. Despite this, an HVAC technician was dispatched immediately after the concern was reported, and no mechanical issue was found. • Any report of odor was taken seriously; no ongoing plumbing issue was identified. • Ladybugs are seasonal and common in mountain environments, particularly during colder months. We do not allow maintenance concerns to linger. When an issue is reported, we send vendors promptly, even when systems are confirmed to be functioning properly. This is a large, well-maintained mountain cabin during peak holiday season, and pricing reflects demand, size, amenities, and location. Short delays can occasionally occur during major holiday turnovers, particularly when guests arrive early without an approved early check-in.

Family Get-a-way

Beautiful view. Spacious. Hot tub was wonderful. Did not have all the kitchen items we needed. A few things missed on cleaning before we arrived. Very nice location.

Absolutely the Best!

We decided to get away for a quick stay and we came across Papa Wolf’s cabin and it is beyond probably the best VRBO we have ever stay. It doesn’t even look like a short term rental. It looks like a house that you would want to live in! The views were amazing cabin spaced out from other cabins so you feel that it’s private. The host was absolutely the best very responsive and the house was extremely clean. We were pleasantly surprised. We look forward to staying again!

Family gathering

We had a wonderful time lots of memories were made. Everyone enjoyed the pool and foosball table Wasn’t there alot as we were out and about enjoying all the area had to offer. Definitely try Alvira‘s restaurant. We really enjoyed that place. The sinkhole my daughter went there. They had a good time. Everything was as it was stated cabin was beautiful. Would recommend this cabin for your family and thank you to the host for asking us if we needed anything. They were awesome and thank you for letting us stay there.

The location and the overall house was beautiful. We rented it mainly due to the fact that it had the four bedrooms with all with king beds and their own en suite bathrooms. However, one of the upstairs bathrooms had a sewage spell coming out of the bathroom the whole time we were there. I will say communicate with the manager was great. He did send somebody out to pour bleach down the Drain to see if that would help it only mask the situation and we ended up having to displace our guest that were in that room and we had to double up, which is very unfortunate because that is not what we paid for we paid for for the four bedrooms with the king beds, so everybody wanted to have their own space so we did have to double up for the rest of our stay! I do believe there is an underlining issue with the plumbing and would need to be addressed more in depth by the property manager. Also over all the place with clean I do believe that they did not sweep or mop the floors because there was lots of dog hair from from the previous renters. Like I said the overall house was beautiful great views great location just unfortunately we were unable to use all the bedrooms.

We do want to clarify a few important points for future guests: • Regarding the bathroom smell: In East Tennessee mountain cabins, it is very common for an unused bathtub or shower drain to develop an odor when the water in the P-trap evaporates—especially if the bathroom hasn’t been used for a while. This is not a plumbing defect and does not indicate sewage backup. The standard treatment recommended by local plumbers is exactly what was done: running water and adding a bleach solution to neutralize the odor. Once water is run through the drain, the issue resolves quickly. • Our team responded immediately: As soon as you notified us, we sent maintenance to your cabin the same day. They confirmed the bathroom was fully functional and there was no plumbing blockage or sewage issue. • Bedroom availability: All four bedrooms were ready and usable at check-in. We understand you chose not to use one of them due to the temporary odor prior to treatment, but the room remained fully operational. • Cleaning concerns: If guests report a cleaning issue, we always offer to send the cleaning company back out immediately to correct anything—and we offered the same during your stay. Our cleaning partners would have gladly returned if notified. We truly appreciate your stay and your comments. Our goal is always to address concerns quickly and ensure a comfortable visit for every group.

Awesome Stay

Cabin has lots of space for parking. Check in was super easy. Cabin was clean. Rooms were spacious and each had its own bathroom with tub and shower. There are 2 additional half baths, one on main floor and one downstairs in pool room. Plenty of dishes to cook meals instead of eating out daily. Lights strung on main porch did not work which was a bummer but was not a big deal. Kids loved the movie room and hot tub, which is where they spent most of their time. Loved the views and that it wasn’t crowded with other cabins nearby. There was only like 2 close. Would definitely stay again.

Same mountain different area

Property was great. The only complaint I have is that the decks were covered in spiders, no exaggeration. Was not able to use outside furniture at all. We come to this mountain 3-4 times a year (or camp in Townsend) never have I seen the spiders like this. Besides that the property is beautiful. We had fast communication and problem solving when locked out of the cabin. (Battery died on key pad) The beds were great! Kitchen well stocked!

Thank you for the review! In regards to the spiders, the cabin is located in a wooded area and insects are common in our area. Regardless, we have purchased a product that has peppermint oil (environmentally safe) that is a repellent for spiders and have sprayed the outside furniture to keep spiders off. The repellent is safe for families and pets, also the smell is very appealing.

Blended family summer vacation

We are a blended family that wanted to take a vacation before summer is over. I asked my teenage daughters what was important to them. They reply wanting to have amazing views, a cabin that was modern and a place they could have fun even if we did not leave the property. From the time we arrived till the time we left everything was smooth and perfect. We arrive about 30 minutes early and the owners were okay with us checking in. It was clean and big enough for the whole family. I will let you know that I underestimated how dark it will be on the top of the mountain and how quickly we were able to see bears. I would definitely recommend.

Not exactly pleased!

I could understand the reasons for the house not being very clean, but the over growth of the back yard a that has not been landscaped is awful! I had my dog so I had to take him out to do his business...day and night. that jungle in the back was not safe! I had to walk him way up the road, even at night to do his business. Also, I keep my dog in a cage when I am not with him. Others must have just closed their pets in a bedroom. The doors were scratched on the inside and the door blinds were broken. Their were mice downstairs at night! The over growth in the back is causing that! I've stayed in huts in Africa and did not have mice! That was awful! Noone wants to stay in a place with mice.

Thank you for your feedback. We take all guest reviews seriously and aim to address any concerns promptly. Firstly, We would like to clarify that our property is located in the mountains, and as such, there is no traditional backyard, nor do we advertise a backyard setting. The surrounding area is a natural, mountainous landscape, which might differ from what some guests expect. The cabin is built into the mountain side with a large foundation raising it to the street level. We do not advise walking down the steep mountainside due to the natural terrain. Regarding your comments about mice, we have Johnson Pest Control of Pigeon Forge servicing our cabin regularly. We will immediately request an inspection and treatment if necessary, although we have not had any previous complaints about mice from our other guests. As for the condition of the property, any minor damages, such as scratched doors and broken blinds, are investigated and repaired as needed. We maintain our cabins with extreme diligence and do not neglect any aspect of their upkeep. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to improve our services further.
