Unique opportunity to be situated only steps from the sand, music, palm trees, ocean. One of select few beachfront immaculate 2-master suite condo in private community. Located within immaculate Uvero Alto resort. Views? check! Food? check! Music? check! Cocktails? check! Paradise? check!

You will enjoy the beautiful grounds, pools, and convenience of the community's stores- which includes being able to rent a golf cart (at cost, and not included in agreement). Along the two-master suites, you will enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, both indoor and outdoor living/lounging and dining areas, as well as a new outdoor grill. Guests can begin their day with panoramic Caribbean views or unwind in the evening on a spacious private terrace, which includes gate to access beach. Amenities include access to a large infinity pool overlooking the private beach.

The property is located approximately 40-45 minutes from the Punta Cana International Airport and provides a retreat away from the activity of Bavaro yet remains accessible for excursions and to local nightlife. The gated community features 24/7 security to ensure privacy and safety.

Additional amenities include linens and towels, free Wi-Fi internet access, a large Smart TV in living room and TVs in both bedrooms, water dispenser with bottled water delivery, washer and dryer, stove, microwave, convection oven, and more.

Optional services that may be arranged upon request, and separate cost:
• Airport transportation (including an optional grocery stop in route between airport and condo)
• Private driver
• Excursions and sightseeing arrangements (available at Concierge office)

The apartment was terrific -- spacious, and well appointed, with plenty of towels, kitchen equipment, etc. The patio had direct access to the beach, which was super convenient, and the owner was very helpful with suggestions and quick to respond to any questions we had. Overall, I'd highly recommend!

Directly on the beach

Condo was great and right on the beach. We loved our stay. Pools were great. Didn’t get crowded. Only down side was the nearest “grocery store” did not have much food. Recommend grocery shopping before getting there or taking taxi to a larger store. Ended up eating out more than we wanted.

Wonderful Getaway from Winter

We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed every minute. The pictures of the condo do not do it justice! Much nicer and spacious in person. Kim made sure that we had everything we wanted and needed during our visit. We would definitely come back!

The loveliness of the beach and grounds and pools. The convenience with grocery shopping and restaurants by the entrance/concierge. The golf carts for elderly and pedestrian. The safety and the vigilant, friendly and caring staff. Also the nearness of the good restaurant Castaways at your doorstep. I pray there will be a chapel with Daily Mass in this area of Punta Cana tho.

Peace and tranquility

Amazing stay with clear views of the beach. We found ourselves opening the sliders regularly to hear the soothing sounds of waves. The mart and shopping plaza made it convenient to take full advantage of the kitchen. The 24/7 security team were always helpful and made us feel secure on the property. We are looking forward to returning to this destination. A gem we only wish we could use all year round.

Beautiful View

We enjoyed Playa Palmera complex and being right on this private beach! The view was amazing and the covered patio was such a perfect spot to enjoy morning coffee and casual meals. We appreciated having beach towels and a water dispenser provided. The a/c blowers worked great and kept the condo cool. The grounds were kept up nicely and the pools were a plus. The beach was never crowded and had plenty of beach loungers to use. We felt very safe on this property. We enjoyed the convenience, quality and price of the food from Coco Mar that was right outside the condo. Reasons I gave 4 stars instead of 5: Loud music from Coco Mar from 9am-10pm, no dishwasher in the condo even though pictures show one, very bad mildew smell under the sink, sliding door to the patio has a very loud screeching noise every time you close it and it locks you out on the patio if you close it all the way.

The Coco Mar music is regulated and the music does not get played in the early morning hours. However, they will play ambient music on the beach for all to enjoy. Exceeded my expectations

Had a wonderful time. Condo is right on the beach. Spent lots of time just relaxing on the large back porch. The condo was well equipped with everything we needed. Propane grill was a bonus. Host was very helpful and responsive. Restaurant is outstanding. Highly recommend. We we are already planning to reserve same place for vacation for next year. Thank you. My best vacation ever!

Back to the Beach

I always enjoy my time at this condo. It has everything I need. Great to see upgrades to Smart TV's. I used my Netflix in the evenings to watch TV. Furniture is always renewed although I miss my couch, the new outdoor seating is beautiful and very comfortable. I will be back next year!

Life on the beach!

This was my second time at the condo and no different than my first. Veronica is a wonderful host as are Remmy who picked me up at the airport and delivered me back on time. WIFI is great. The grounds are well maintained and quite. The condo is spacious and clean. It has plenty of towels and linens, games and books to read. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. My favourite place is the patio with outdoor couches to waste the day sipping coffee, reading and watching the sun set and rise ... now that's life on the beach!

If you really want to unwind, this is the place to do it!

Virginia was easy to work with and was more than eager to answer many questions about the property, area, and activitites prior to our arrival. We really enjoyed relaxing (2 adults and 2 teens) at Las Dunas. As stated this condo is away from the action, which was what we were looking for. It was nice meeting others at the property but having a feeling of home instead of a busy all-inclusive. Renny travel was excellent, very professional. We did encounter a problem during our stay (water leak from the condo above us). Virginia and her husband (owners of our rental) quickly had everything taken care of. They immediately responded to our call and stayed in touch through out the day to make sure everything was resolved. We also enjoyed a wonderful meal cooked in our condo by Chef Eddie and his wife Juana. They were very nice and the food was delicious. The patio on this condo is a wonderful place to relax with a book or drink, always a breeze and listening to the waves was calming. My family would go back! We didn't do any excursions on this trip other than the grocery store twice. Condo was clean and spacious.

Brilliant Vacation in Uvero Alto ☀️

Wow. This might be the best-kept secret in the area (Shhh!). Our family of four stayed for 9 nights in Jan 2024. This property couldn’t have been a more perfect fit. The Host/Owner, Simeon, was kind and responsive, offering good tips & guidance before our trip. Our Property Manager, Kim, was extremely professional, responsive, & helpful throughout our entire stay. The condo complex was easy to get to by airport transfer or car rental, and felt quite safe. Some older reviews speak to the area being isolated, but that’s not the case anymore as it's been built up with resorts on each side of the complex, the delicious Castaways Restaurant next door, and all the amenities of Plaza Palmera a short walk up the road. The property itself defies expectations the moment you walk in. It’s right on the beach on the first floor. The patio area is spacious and provides the perfect spot to enjoy a coffee in the morning, read a book in the lounger in the afternoon, or enjoy a cocktail in the evening. Watching the waves and feeling the breeze puts one’s soul at ease. You can go for long walks on the beach in either direction and take a dip here and there. Our kids loved the pool area too, which we'd often have to ourselves. The condo itself is really lovely: clean, well-equipped, spacious, and comfortable. The bedrooms and ensuites were quite large. Having a washer/dryer was a big plus. Kitchen was great...More to say but out of space! Gracias Simeon, Kim, Gustavo, and team. We'll be back!

Unqualified Recommendation!

We stayed for three weeks at this fabulous condo and found it to be the perfect place for an extended stay near Punta Cana. We recommend it without reservation. It is just far enough away from the resort crowds to afford a real sense of privacy, almost like having your own home on the beach, yet it’s close enough to the golf, restaurants and other attractions of Bavaro and Punta Cana to make them easily accessible. We rented a car and found it very easy to get around once we had acclimated ourselves. The beachfront location is outstanding as the patio is literally right on the beach front. We spent many mornings and evenings on the comfortable furniture there enjoying the view and the warm breezes. The interior of the condo was neat, clean, well-organized, well-furnished and exactly as pictured on the website. The beach is one of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen and it is cleaned up every day and is uncrowded with plenty of nice chairs available. The community pool is outstanding and also uncrowded with lots of chairs available. The owners of this condo have clearly given a lot of thought as to how to make their guests feel comfortable and well-accommodated as we found that the condo contained all of the things we needed to enhance our stay. The owners were also very helpful and complete in their pre-trip advice to us, which was especially helpful as this was our first trip to the DR. They prepared us well for our stay and were also promptly helpful and responsive when a couple of minor issues arose during our time there. We also felt very safe in this gated community with security at the front gate and on the beach. We are already planning a return visit.

A nice week away.

My husband and I and our two children (ages 3 and 5) spent a week at this condo in Uvero Alto in November of 2016. We were looking for a vacation off the beaten path (meaning NOT an all-inclusive). We definitely got it. First, I'll focus on the many positives. Everyone we encountered in the Dominican was friendly and helpful. We felt safe and welcome the entire time. Marcia and other representatives of the management company at Las Dunas were responsive to our questions and needs. The condo itself was spacious and very comfortable. On the days when we had sun, we took excursions to Saona Island and the Indigenous Eyes Ecological Reserve. They were gorgeous and very fun! We didn't see any other Americans the entire week, which was just fine with us. I got to use my rusty Spanish skills, which totally impressed my kids! Now for the not-so-great things ... #1 - The weather. It rained non-stop for the first half of our stay. (Obviously, no one can control that, but it was a major bummer.) #2 - The garbage. There is trash ALL OVER the beach and in the roadside ditches in Uvero Alto. #3 - The poverty. Once you leave the Americanized Punta Cana proper, the conditions in which the local people live are breathtaking. We saw people living in corrugated metal shanties standing in 2 feet of mud. Naked children were bathing and doing laundry in a river as we drove by. I was humbled and appreciated how privileged we are. Honestly, it was good for my kids to see. #4 - Aside from lounging by the pool or on the beach, there is not much to do in Uvero Alto. There are a couple of trinket shops, but that's about it. We tried to visit Sandy Feet, but they weren't serving food. Seafood Paradise had only fried fish (served with skin on) and french fries on the menu. You will definitely need to stock up on groceries and alcohol before you leave Punta Cana to be sure that you have everything you need for the duration of your stay if you don't rent a car. I walked to the convenience store one day for more wine, but it's a good mile and a half from Las Dunas (3 miles round-trip). #5 - The dishwasher and the washing machine in the condo leaked water onto the floor. We reported these issues to the office at Las Dunas and they sent a technician to make repairs right away. All in all, if you're up for a bit of adventure and don't mind being somewhat isolated, this condo provides a lot of natural beauty and quality family time. You will definitely feel a million miles from home!

Excursions to Saona Island and the Indigenous Eyes Ecological Reserve are great day trips, I’m so glad you got to enjoy them. The beach in front of our gated community is groomed every morning. There is definitely no trash on our beach. There are beautiful resorts up and down the beach that also groom their beaches daily. If you drive a distance to uninhabited beaches, you will find some trash on the beach that washes up from the ocean. You won’t find that on developed beaches. Regarding poverty – If you want to see groomed beaches, and resort-like amenities, that’s exactly what you will see all around you and along miles of beach walks. If you are the kind of person that wants to explore and see more local scenery, that’s definitely an option. You can get to areas where there are makeshift homes, children running around without clothes and laundry being done in rivers. We have many guests that have requested our help to connect them with an orphanage about an hour away and other support agencies so that they can visit and bring supplies. We are personally connected with schools and other support agencies for that very reason. It warms our hearts to connect our guests to these organizations if they want to. One thing we tell all of our guests is that our gated community is where to go if you want to really relax, enjoy nature, and spend time with family and friends. There is not a lot of activities really close by. If that is the type of vacation one is looking for, we suggest renting a car so that you can drive about 30 minutes to the hustle and bustle of Bavaro Beach or we can suggest some places to stay right in the heart of things. Our place is not a place for folks that want lots of activity. We chose it just for that reason. Thank you for letting us know about the washing machine. As you mentioned, it was immediately repaired. Being right on beach is a true gift but the salt air is a constant challenge to machinery. We have a dedicated staff to respond to anything that comes up.

Wir haben die Wohnung gewält, weil wir auf dem Balkon sitzen und die schöne, weite Aussicht durch die Palmen auf das Meer genießen wollten. Ein Schock bei unserer Ankunft: linke Hand vor der Wohnung ist eine Restaurant mit einer vorgelagerten Bar gebaut worden. Der weite Blick ist auf etwa die Hälfte reduziert! Der Lärm hält sich in Grenzen, zumal der heftige Wind (Februar) sehr laut ist. Aber man steht zwangsläufig auf dem Balkon immer unter der Beobachtung der Gäste. Und: Neben dem Balkon sind die vier kleinen Toilettenhäuschen... Besonders ärgerlich ist, dass dieser Zustand schon seit über einem Jahr so ist und der Besitzer die Bilder nicht austauscht. Auf unsere Nachricht hin schrieb er lediglich: die Gäste fänden es gut, dass da nun ein Restaurant in der Nähe ist. Ja, vielleicht, aber muss man dann bewußt falsche Informationen herausgeben. Die Agentur schrieb, dass sie nichts weiter machen könnten; man müsse sich mit dem Besitzer "einigen" und sonst vielleicht "andere Wege" beschreiten. Aber wir wollten uns den Urlaub nicht vollständig verderben lassen.

We understand that expectations drives our decisions when booking a vacation and that pictures, description, and reviews provided by our guests informs this decision process. Unfortunately Mr. Dietmar assumed that he will be renting a condo with a 180 degree view of the ocean and perhaps expected to be vacationing in a remote area. None of our pictures represents that. Our community now has a club restaurant, which is located on the beach to the left of our unit. This is a welcome addition to our community. Our pictures are up-to-date.

Wow, what a house. It is really the best place ever. First, Kim, is remarkable, she came to pick us up on time, she is clear and fast when we ask her for something. The place where we lived was beautiful, the pool is amazing and clean. All the staff that works there are smily. The house is, i must say, the best one we ever had. Situated ON THE BEACH. Not complicate, easy access, a view to dream every day. What we liked the most was the outdoor space. We read outside, just chilled there and ate every meal there. No noise, only the waves. The rooms are big, comfy, the kitchen is great. A mini little oven was useful, but there is no regular oven. The BBQ outside, not useful at all. It doesn't cook. So if you like to BBQ forget about it. We had gallons of water (100 pesos) to drink and the machines gives us hot water. All the utilities to cook were there. There is a plaza where we bought what we forgot but the main grocery was done on the road from the airport. We made a list of what we would eat and we just had to buy some little things at the plaza. At this plaza we had pastry (delicious), ice cream (good) and a pizza (very good). The prices are like at home. There is a lot of security on the site. It is very secure. A funny thing that i didn't realize before going there is that there is a restaurant Castaway's on the site, but it is 5 steps from our house! So convenient if you don't want to cook. The staff is nice, the food is good. We went there for the New Year's eve. Plus, there is a bar with beautiful music too. So we had our little resort just for us. The beach is private, the water was nice, not a lot of sea weed. Some dogs from other owners, nice dogs. The sand is white and soft. The palm trees create shade. We walked every day along the beach. You can discover the other resorts that are crowded...so happy to be where we were. We went to visit the beach of Macao, wow, you have to go there. Amazing beach, it's a must. Then we went to another beach because we had to take our Covid test, Los Corales. Not nice for us. Full of people, full of chairs and resorts...too many people. The beach was awful, full of seaweeds, dirty. Didn't like it. But we had a nice meal at Citrus in the village, it was delicious. We are not far from the airport (40 min). About wi-fi....don't count on that. We had so much problems...even watching Netflix was a challenge. The little wheels turns non stop. Overall i would say Go and enjoy. Thank you KIM xx

My favorite place to watch the sunrise and drink my coffee.

This is my third time at Virginia's condo on the beach and I absolutely adore it. It's well appointed, furnished and well equipped for cooking.

If you like roughing it

Pro's: - Very nice secluded beaches that go on for miles - The unit is as about as close to the ocean as you can get anywhere - The host was available and helpful w/ issues encountered The general community was nice (nice pool, lawn areas, and the few other people around were very friendly) - The weather was perfect (late March) Con's - The unit is in an extremely remote/ desolate area and at least an hour from restaurants or grocery stores ($130 cab ride round trip) - The general area was designed for all-inclusive resorts and the local infrastructure does not really support stand-alone rental units - A rental car really is necessary to survive for the week - but local drivers are aggressive and particularly dangerous at night (cars w/no tail lights and motorbikes w/no lights) - The unit's air conditioner had a governor on it set to mid-80 degrees - The unit was dark and somewhat dated inside - The unit had a stove but no oven or functional BBQ
