Wonderful Stay

We loved our stay at the Cozy Lake Clair Carriage House. The property was everything we needed and more. The outdoor space is beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed taking walks in the neighborhood and to the nearby park. Our host, Tina, was very pleasant and available if we needed anything. We would definitely stay again.

Very pleasant stay

"Tina's Cottage" is situated on a quiet street in a nice neighborhood. It is positioned behind her residence and surrounded by nature, including tall trees and many plants that she has nurtured and grown. The cottage is space limited but nicely decorated and well stocked. The front porch provides a nice sitting area with small table, chairs, a rocker and swing. The host was friendly at all times and very attentive to any needs that we had.

The apartment is perfect. It was my own peaceful petit home in a beautiful garden. I would start my day with coffee on the porch painting. Tina is a wonderful, thoughtful host who gives you your privacy and yet is so close you can reach out to her anytime and she is there.

Our experiment in small living

We have stayed in several home rentals in the Atlanta area this property is one of our favorites. We are two retired adults, stayed for 3 weeks in September 2019. The home is small, well built and thoughtfully appointed with top of the line appliance. The washer, dryer, dishwasher and air conditioner were so quiet you could barely hear them running. The decor is fresh and bright and clean. This is important in a small space. We had everything 2 people needed. We ventured into the loft only to stash empty suitcases. The property sits far back from the street, its peaceful and safe and surrounded by interesting trees and plants and pathways. We very much enjoyed sitting on the porch for morning coffee and planning the day. Tina, the manager owner is available by text or phone. You probably will not need anything but she is nearby if you need help. We would stay here again.

Just what I needed

Tina’s cottage is absolutely lovely. Everything I needed was there, it’s comfy and inviting. Sitting out on the porch in the morning hearing the birds singing and just looking out at the beautiful gardens was the exact way I needed to start my day. Tina is a lovely host who cares about your stay. This place really is a treasure. The location and neighborhood is great. If your dates are available don’t hesitate to book!

Fun place to stay!

This is a rather remarkable use of a medium-sized space, and offers the privacy and hominess pretty much anyone could want. Tina is a delight to work with and has set up a fully-equipped 'tiny house' in her carriage house. Nothing has been overlooked, and we will certainly be back when we visit our kids in Atlanta. Three cheers (and five stars)!

Charming Cottage

Our month long stay in this charming cottage was a lovely change of pace from a semester in a crowded London flat. Trade up to this great spot if you like an Anthropology vibe and a great quiet location.

A hidden jewel in beautiful Inman Park minutes to downtown Atlanta

From the moment I saw this dollhouse online I knew this was where we wanted to be. It gorgeous. It’s complete with everything one wants and needs. From the inviting front porch complete with table and chairs and swing, to the comfy beautifully decorated interior. There are barn doors for the separate bath and separate bedroom. Kitchen and living area was complete w/everything we needed. Ideal. You’ll love it. Just take a look at the photos....

Sweet carriage house in a great neighborhood

Our house renovation was not quite complete so we were looking for a place to stay for a couple of weeks. We were so happy to find this perfect cottage for our stay. Tina is a wonderful host with attention to details, including a bottle of wine and bread with other items in the fridge to welcome us. The full-size stackable W/D are a great amenity as well. The queen-size bed in the bedroom is super comfortable and our 13-year old son loved the loft sleeping space.I highly recommend this for short or long stays.

Charming cottage, beautiful gardens!

Cottage well equipped, down to the smallest detail, for an extended stay. Very clean. Tina is a truly gracious host. We enjoyed our meals on the front porch surrounded by gardens. Great walking neighborhood. Definitely recommend!!!

Lovely Carriage Home in Atlanta

I stayed at this Carriage House for four months over the summer and really enjoyed my stay! This house was perfect for my needs, not too big not too small. Everything worked properly, and the washer and dryer were a great addition to have. The upstairs room was great for reading in the afternoon, and the multiple windows helped create a breeze throughout the home. The property on which it sits is gorgeous and has an earthy feel to it, with a large garden in the backyard surrounding the Carriage Home. There is a nice sized porch on the front of the Carriage House with multiple seating options, and I often found myself sitting out there listening to the gentle hum of crickets as the sun went down for the night. There is plenty of privacy as well, though the homeowner is available if anything should be needed. I was greeted with a bottle of wine and various items in the fridge to make me feel at home on arrival. It was a very nice touch. I would gladly stay here again!

Enchanted garden cottage

This cottage is the perfect stay for a quiet retreat. Set in a beautiful garden, the cottage is charming. I had a very enjoyable stay, and the owner very graciously met a few of my pressing needs. The front porch was a cozy place for breakfast and later a glass of wine. I hope to be back the next time I'm in the area.

A Sweet Peace of Home

What a exceptionally warm, sweet, & thought-of-everything cottage! First, Tina is absolutely wonderful and deeply attentive to any needs you may have. Second, coming home to the serenity that is this house makes all the difference from the activity that is Atlanta. From the morning coffee porch to the quietude of the loft space upstairs, I was immediately made to feel relaxed and welcomed. And finally, I would recommend Tina and her home to anyone looking for an oasis in the city!

Exceeded by Expectations

Tina, is a lovely host. The house is quant, well appointed, secluded and very quite. Upon check-in Tina made sure I had coffee, creamer, and wine...the essentials. I was there for 8 days and took Uber into work everyday. Convenient to popular shopping options as well as cool, quirky local places. I highly recommend this property.

Perfect Atlanta Carriage House!

Amazing Stay

I stayed in Tina's Cottage for about 4 months in the fall of 2016. It was the perfect little bungalow. Tina takes great care in making her property clean and comfortable. If I needed an extra blanket or a blow up mattress in the loft it was there before I got back to the cottage. She welcomed my stay w/ a nice card and a bottle of wine and asked if she could anything to make my stay more comfortable. She has a housekeeper available if you feel you need it, and the washer/dryer was a much needed added bonus. I recommend Tina's Cottage to any traveler for a short or lengthy stay. It is close to all the Atlanta hot spots and just far enough away to be out of the buzz in a very quiet family friendly neighborhood. Scoop it up while you can. Thanks again Tina!

Tina was very welcoming to her cottage. The place was clean and well equipped and had lots of interesting furnishings and décor. The cabin is small but cozy. So if you're traveling with energetic children or you need lots of open space to spread out, you won't have that experience here. But if you're looking for quiet, homey comfort....this is it. You'll enjoy the peaceful setting with lots of privacy. There's a sweet front porch, a scenic backyard and lots of southern hospitality. The area nearby was very eclectic with lots to do and discover. Tina was easy to work with and a great host! THANKS!

Cute, clean,quiet and comfortable.

This cute cottage is in a beautiful and very quiet neighborhood. The most we ever had to wait for an Über ride was eight minutes and we were there for a week traveling several times every day. There were some provisions provided, the house was spotless and we slept like Goldilocks on the comfortable beds. We especially enjoyed some pleasant evenings on the porch surrounded by the pleasing landscaping that provided nice privacy. Tina is an excellent hostess and was always readily available. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Immaculate, Adorable Cottage

My husband and I stayed here for several days over a holiday weekend. We arrived to an extremely clean, neat, lovely little home, complete with welcoming flowers and a few treats from Tina, who was helpful and very easy to coordinate with. Given the "tiny house" movement, part of the fun was seeing what could be done in a small space - full kitchen, full bath, nice bedroom and a sitting area, plus a loft area. The house is tucked in the back of the property, and borders some woods, so it couldn't be quieter or more private. Nice neighborhood with charming single family bungalows. For breakfast or lunch, Sun In The Belly and Flying Biscuit are delicious. It's even walkable from the MARTA station! Thank you, Tina!

Urban Oasis - One Month Rental

I chose Tina’s carriage house for a one-month stay for my mother who is moving to Decatur. Every aspect of the rental was flawless. Tina was very communicative with me – she responded immediately to my questions and even invited me to come by and see the house before booking. I can’t say enough good things about my mom’s experience. The carriage house has been immaculately renovated with high end finishes. It is cosy and has everything she needed including a fully equipped kitchen. If you are curious about tiny home living, this is a great place to check out. Mom enjoyed coffee on the private porch, the lovely, very well kept garden and even the sound of the water fountain next door. Truly an urban oasis! Tina takes particular care to welcome new guests with specific items that my mom loves, wine, eggs, special milk. She asked about these things in advance and customized to my mom. I would highly recommend Tina’s Carriage house for a short or longer-term stay. The neighborhood of Lake Claire and nearby Decatur is “the” spot to be in Atlanta. Thank you Tina!

Four day stay

Cottage was as described in VRBO webste. It was compact but certainly adequate for my wife and I. Cottage was very tastefully decorated, very clean and well equipped for short or long stay. There was nothing we needed that wasn't available. Tina was unobtrusive but available, and helpful, if we needed assistance. Property was a perfect location for our needs, close to downtown Decatur with all excellent resturants that it offers. This was only our second experience with VRBO properties and was somewhat better than our previous booking. I would certainly recommend this property to friends and family or any single or double travelers. Bob Everette
