My wife and I have been coming to Montalcino for many years and we decided to purchase a home to enjoy and share with travelers from all around the world. We love the culture and wines of Montalcino so we can help our guests have a memorable experience when they visit. We love entertaining so guests will be pleased to see that we have a large dining table in the wine cellar which can be used for wine tastings or an alternative to dining in the first floor dining room. We have connections with a local award-winning chef if you want to host a special dinner in the wine cellar space, which we have done before.

Since we often need to work remotely, you will be pleased that the high-speed internet is strong throughout Palazzo Tamanti and we have ample power outlets and USB ports to charge devices and allow for seamless remote working.

The quiet comfort of Montalcino paired with amazing food and wine makes Montalcino the destination for rest, renewal, and inspiration. We had considered purchasing another apartment in the city center, but it did not have the living spaces we wanted and at night and it was located in a ZTL zone.

Our neighborhood is very quiet since we don't have a restaurant or bar under or in front of our property. The fact that we have a garage is very important because parking is located a hilly distance away from the city center.

Our favorite restaurants in town are 1-3 minutes away by walking, the closest is Re di Macchia which is 30 paces from our front door! Staying in properties outside the city center means you will always be using a car and finding places to park. This location has the balance of city center, private garage, and walking distance to all shops on restaurants.

All exterior windows have screens so you can open the windows on cool days and keep the bugs out of your bedroom and living spaces. Again, strong heating and air conditioning, and window screens are not very common in Tuscany.
