Another wonderful stay at this beautiful house!

This was our third stay here, which says something in itself. The house is in a beautiful setting with magnificent views over Monte Amiata and the Val d’Orcia surrounded by lovely well-tended gardens. The interiors have been executed with great thought and taste and we enjoyed noticing new artworks and other additions. Everything is in excellent condition and works perfectly and the whole property is overseen by a delightful housekeeper who is keen to help. There is also a really helpful manual full of local as well as house-related information. Highly recommended - we hope to return (again!).

Gorgeous Views and Delightful Villa

The Villa is simply delightful, with beautiful sweeping views of the Val d'Orcia and wonderful, well-tended grounds of grassy lawns, herbs, lavender, etc. The large pool is well-positioned for sunshine and views, with lovely umbrellas for shade. There is a large, well-functioning, fully fitted-out kitchen, updated bathrooms and a good internet/tech/media set-up (Sonos speakers; big TV; good internet). The bedrooms are lovely and clean. The air-conditioning an added bonus. The Villa is secluded, sitting among olive trees, forest and hay fields and well-situated for visiting the hill towns. It is a lovely drive from the main road, with sightings of deer quite frequent. The host is incredibly helpful and conscientious, both about the villa itself and also with recommendations and information about local restaurants, vineyards, activities etc. There is also a housekeeper who is friendly and helpful.

Ein perfekter Aufenthalt

Absolut perfekt! Die Lage des Hauses ist fantastisch. Es liegt absolut ruhig mit wunderschönem Ausblick und gleichzeitig sind Pienza und Montepulciano gut zu erreichen. Genauso fantastisch ist der Zustand des Hauses. Es ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und es fehlt an nichts. Der Gastgeber John ist sehr zuvorkommend und unterstützend bei allen Fragen. Genauso Samuela, die sich vor Ort um alles kümmert. Wir möchten auf jeden Fall zurückkommen!

A Bit of Heaven Earth

We cannot recommend Podere Terra Bianca more highly or enthusiastically. As experienced world travelers, we can say with complete confidence that this property is among the finest that we have every stayed in, if not the finest. Podere Terra Bianca is as thoroughly, thoughtfully and tastefully updated as anyone could desire. The property is also as beautiful outside as it is inside. The lofty placement of the house allows wonderful views over the valleys and distant hills. The views are of orchards, vineyards, valleys, fields and woodlands. Located between Pienza, a world heritage site, and the medieval and renaissance wine-making hill town of Montepulciano, Podere Terra Bianca is well situated for day trips to Perugia, Siena, Orvieto, Assisi, and Cortona. Podere Terra Bianca offers an exceptional level of comfort and many amenities not typically available in rental properties. Heated floors, multiple wood-burning stoves and fireplaces, a beautiful sound system, built in charging ports, reliable high speed internet access, multiple locations for outdoor dining and reading, well designed outdoor lighting and beautiful views of the Val d’Orcia from every window evidence the owner’s remarkable attention to detail. Every room is comfortably and tastefully furnished to the highest standards. The kitchen has everything one could need or want and more - minus the terror learning to safely operate ancient gas plumbing! The bathrooms are in suite, generously sized, and have state of the art showers and heated towel racks, We have never experienced this level of comfort before in all of our years of travel in Italy and around the world.

A Special Villa

The property was special and so are the owners. Samuela, who does most everything, is charming and always available. The views are breathtaking. The house is well furnished with everything you can imagine and more. The kitchen is a delight and the appliances are top of the line. The pool is large and cleaned each day. The grounds are impeccable and enjoyable to explore. It was the best rental property in Italy that we have ever staved in.

Exquisite home in Tuscany

We had a wonderful time in this exquisite home in Tuscany. The house was superb with every detail thought of. The pool and scenery were just what we were looking for. The location, between Montepulciano and Pienza was ideal and allowed for day trips and then a return home to this lovely secluded home with beautiful vistas. We split our time between dinners at excellent local restaurants and also having gourmet italian meals prepared in the fully equipped kitchen. The home could not have been better appointed. We have rented many homes over the years but this was, by far, the best one. The owners have thought of everything and their detailed instructions made for a very easy stay. We cannot say enough nice things about the villa and hope to return for another stay. David

An idyllic stay in a first-class villa

We were a group of 3 couples, long-time close friends celebrating turning 70 years old. We had set a high benchmark for this special occasion, and Terra Bianca exceeded our expectations in every way. After spending time in this lovely villa, the ladies in the group are inspired by its luxurious and tasteful décor. The color schemes, furnishings and renovation of the villa are fresh and current. From the artwork down to the bathroom fixtures and modern appliances, everything was of the best quality. We all agreed that the villa, its grounds, pool area, numerous patios and dining options could be featured in an issue of Architectural Digest Magazine. The house manager/keeper, Samuella, was so pleasant and helpful, and our personal chefs Alessandro and Eleanora from Tuscan Chef were outstanding. We were very glad we had chosen to dine "at home" because the comfort, ambiance and customized menus were perfect. The view of the valley from the villa is unmatched at any time of the day. All plantings and gardens are well kept by the gardener and a true delight, filled with fragrant roses of many colors and types. We have been posting on FaceBook and have received many comments from "envious" friends. The members of our group are well traveled and have been privileged to stay in the finest lodging throughout the world. All agreed that for many reasons this was one of our favorites. We truly hated to leave this idyllic setting and plan to make a return visit.

Absolute perfection!

This beautiful villa exceeded our expectations. It looked gorgeous from the photographs but it was even more breathtaking in person. The views out over the valley could be seen from the 2 outside patios and the bedrooms. There was plenty of seating for the 4 couples that were in our party. The kitchen and the rest of the house had every amenity you could want. There was ping pong, bocce ball, badminton, board games and of course a pool that was surrounded by hotel quality chaise lounges and umbrellas. Samuela, the housekeeper was so friendly and kept the villa spotless while we were there. Renting it was a simple and easy process and the owners are so accommodating with suggestions of restaurants, things to do in the area and general information about the house and the area. We simply can't say enough good things about this villa!!

The Villa Luisa exceeded all expectations

Villa Luisa is a beautiful villa located off the main road where you are surrounded by mountains, olive gardens and vineyards. The grounds are impeccable landscaped and the outside pool is truly breathtaking The main house has all the charm of a historic Tuscany farm house however every modern luxury convenience is provided for. The gourmet kitchen, the indoor dining room, the beautiful outdoor dining space and the various patios with unbelievable views surround the house. We cooked in nearly every night as two of our guests were outstanding chefs and we would eat wonderful Italian meals outside to the sound of Italian music - It does not get much better than that. The Villa is perfectly located between Rome and Florence and nestled among numerous historic Hill Towns - Pienza, Montepulciano, Orvieto, and on and on. The train station to Florence or Rome is only 25 minutes away. We cannot write a complete review without mentioning Samuela, the housekeeper. She was such a wonderful treat to see every morning and she was so helpful. Since we did not speak Italian and she does not speak English we had fun communicating to one another thru Google Translate. All in all this Villa exceeded all expectations. The owners were meticulous in their design and thoughtfulness. We could not have picked a better place to stay and will certainly stay again on our next trip to Italy.

Perfect Villa for a Family reunion/getaway

Arriving at this Villa was nothing less than perfect; the long winding drive to the villa and the first sight was very impressive. The property and grounds were in pristine condition, and the view of the surrounding countryside was breathtaking. The owners were very responsive if needed. The housekeeper was also very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions we had. The property is perfectly located so close to so many day trip activities. We are very much looking forward to returning to this region and this villa.

Fantastic location, villa and views

The villa is an amazing situation and is well equipped with anything you could want. The views are fantastic from the various terraces. There is so much to explore locally and we can wholeheartedly recommend truffle hunting! There were some extra costs associated with cooling/pool heating but these were handled sensitively by the owner. We can thoroughly recommend this villa and hope to return again.

Lovely Refuge

If you’re seeking a beautiful refuge in the heart of Tuscany, look no further. Beautifully renovated, yet comfortable and relaxing. Two spacious patios for relaxing and outdoor entertaining. Lovely pool area. Amazing vistas. The house and gardens are well kept by Samuela (housekeeper) and Mario (gardener), who are very helpful and welcoming. We were a capacity group, and being in the kitchen, house and grounds didn’t ever feel crowded (my personal test). It’s far enough away from the main road that you don’t hear any traffic, yet close enough for numerous day trips to explore the nearby towns. Highly recommend.

"La Dolce Vita"

"La Dolce Vita" is the perfect saying to describe Villa Luisa. From the minute you see the first spectacular view as you round the bend to the house, you feel embraced by the beauty of Tuscany. The house is spectacular, from the lovely bedrooms, to the well appointed bathrooms, the very comfortable sitting rooms, and the well equipped kitchen. The two patios, with unbelievable views, were a great place to relax, drink some wine, and eat some of Italy's wonderful food. We had Alessandro cook for us 6 times while we were there and all of his meals were very high quality and delicious! Our "special goodbye dinner" is one that we will never forget. Samuela, was a wonderful housekeeper, and she kept the house immaculate. She is also a great cook and her lasagna and grilled vegetables are out of this world. We attempted to have numerous conversations with Mario, the gardener, and he even guided us on a walk around the property and his beautiful gardens. We enjoyed his company and his conversation, even though we did not understand a word that he said! The owners left a very helpful book with numerous recommendations of restaurants in the area. The Val d'Orcia region is exceptionally beautiful and touring the area is very easy by car. We had a phenomenal time and would highly recommend this property. Someday we hope to be lucky enough to return as we made some wonderful memories.

Beautiful Villa with Incredible Views

As beautiful as the pictures are on the internet of this villa it is even more spectacular in person. The villa is immaculate and decorated lovely. I thought the kitchen was larger than it looked on the pictures on this website as well as the bedrooms. I don't think you can find a more gorgeous view than the one from this special villa. The owners were lovely to deal with, and very informative. We actually got to meet them and they were as lovely in person as I thought they would be. The housekeeper, Samuela, is an absolute jewel. Definitely have her cook you a meal or two for you. Mario, the gardener, keeps the gardens and grounds looking pristine. .We spent two weeks there. There are many wonderful towns to visit on day trips from the villa. Don't miss Cortona and Sienna.

One Of the Most Beautiful Homes We've Ever Stayed In!

We have rented VRBO homes all over the US and Europe, and also rent out a vacation home of our own on the Gulf Coast of Florida. We always have high expectations of the homes we rent. This villa was perfect in every way: our always friendly and informative emails and phone conversations with owners who care about their guests; the location of the home sitting in a private location at the top of a hill (the views are incredible, yet the house easy to reach by car and close to two great towns!! Important to ask in Tuscany!); a very friendly, helpful and unintrusive housekeeper and gardener (make sure to ask Samuela and her mom to cook for you one night, they do a great job!); the stunning pool; the professionally-decorated, warm and wonderful interior of the home; the basics throughout the home from blankets to candles to iPod speakers to kitchen items. Perfection and very highly-recommended! We hope to stay again!!!

Fabulous property!

This is the third villa we've rented in Italy and it is by far the best. This property is has magnificent views, a wonderful kitchen and every room has great design and details. We had a family vacation and also hired the chef Alessandro who did a private dinner for us as well as a cooking class with lunch on the patio. Samuela takes great care of the house on a daily basis. This was one of our best vacations ever!

Beautiful and comfortable!

My family rented this villa in early May and we were all thrilled with the entire experience! The villa is beautiful and very comfortable. The owners did a wonderful job renovating. We all felt very at home. The staff were also amazing making sure we had everything we needed at the villa and for our experience in Tuscany. There was a wealth of information about the area (restaurants, wineries, bike rentals, place to see, etc) and the owners checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. The location of the villa is perfect for a base camp and for traveling to the different hillside towns. It is also a beautiful place to relax and enjoy some downtime. We spent our days exploring and our evenings enjoying the comforts of the villa and cooking in the amazing kitchen. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. We hope to return someday soon and I highly recommend this villa to anyone going on a Tuscan holiday!

Amazing Tuscan Experience!!

This 5 bedroom villa exceeded the expectations by its overall quality, its location /views and the service provided by its staff. We were three adult couples traveling for 3 weeks in Italy and by far our Tuscan experience were the most memorable days of our holiday. The villa is located within easy driving distances to all of the "hill towns" and wineries and as such the villa was a welcoming and relaxing site after our daily excursions. The quality of the villa's renovations and furnishings made you feel as if you were at a 5 star property. The property's service staff included Samuela who we found most delightful and made every effort to make our stay perfect. She is also a great cook. The grounds surrounding the villa are perfectly maintained by the property's gardener and the views from every vantage point are breathtaking. I believe all of us, when we return to Tuscany again, would not hesitate to rent this villa again but next time we will stay longer!!

Superb!

Our second stay at this elegantly restored property far exceeded our memories. The house has all the style and grace of the finest Tuscan villa, plus the comforts to match. The views and vistas in every direction are to die for. There's a first-rate modern kitchen for anyone who likes to cook, and the nearby towns feature wonderful markets, lovely shops and memorable restaurants. It's a cheese-and-wine-lover's paradise. And a quick dip in the pool will vanquish any ills! Surely the phrase "la dolce vita" was coined for just such a place. We shall return! G & A, 2013

Wonderful Private Home outside of Pienza, Tuscany

Our family enjoyed a relaxing and restorative week in your lovely home. The craftsmanship and care that you have taken to restore and renovate this property is apparent from the floating staircase to the garden and pool design. Beautiful, peaceful, and restful!

We spent nearly 2 weeks in this lovely home as an international family of 5 and found the house to be impeccably outfitted and maintained. The furnishings are very tasteful and high-quality, from the bedding to the bathrooms to the fabulous and expansive kitchen. You can feel it in this house that much thought and caring was put into its renovation--it is a warm and personal space while still modern. Brigid, the owner, was attentive, informative, and very generous and Samuela, the kind and friendly housekeeper, cooked wonderful meals for us. The house booklet is also a mine of useful information about the local area. The unseasonably cool and wet weather prevented us from using the very large pool, but we did enjoy the lovely gardens and the views from the house. The isolated location is ideal for those seeking relaxation, but with a navgation system in the car, you can easily visit a number of small towns in the area. For cities, Siena is about an hour and Florence an hour and 45 minutes away by car. The Val d'Orcia is a truly gorgeous area in the Toskana and we would definitely consider renting this house again. A Perfect Holiday Retreat

We were a party of ten adults who stayed in this luxurious house in September. The house is in a great position for visiting various notable hilltop towns such as Montepulciano, Pienza and Montalcino. It was amazing, kitted out to a very high specification and extremely well equipped. The house's airy interior allowed each to have our own space. The outdoor areas; including patios, gardens and pool were beautifully landscaped and the perfect place to relax in the Tuscan sun. There were some brilliant extras such as table tennis and Wifi. Brigid, the owner was keen to help us get the most out of our stay and we found her local knowledge and friendly advice invaluable. Our only disappointment was that we couldn’t stay longer!

Perfect Week in Tuscany

We stayed in this beautifully renovated house in the middle of unspoiled Tuscan countryside where every view took one's breath away. The owners have lovingly restored the house with a traditional interior in which are all the fixtures are of the highest standard. The outside spaces were large and comfortable. Bedrooms are generous and well planned with ensuite showers or baths. We loved our time there and visited the nearby hill towns and their restaurants. It was perfect.
