• Downtown West Jefferson has shops, art galleries, breweries, Ashe County Cheese, and great restaurants. Information on all these attractions, plus others, are in the house and are available to send upon your arrival. The house is 5 minutes from the middle of Downtown West Jefferson.
• Old Barn Winery and Frosty’s is located one mile from the house. The winery features a beautiful pastoral setting among lovely hilltops and Frasier Fir Christmas trees, and each weekend, it offers entertainment from all genres.
• If you enjoy golf, you are a short 5-minute drive to Mountain Aire Golf Course. It is a beautiful, well-maintained 18-hole public course with scenic mountain views and some of the ruggedness you would expect to find in the Appalachian Mountains. Jefferson Landing is a 10-minute drive. This course, designed by PGA champion and World Golf Hall of Famer Larry Nelson, provides a challenge for golfers of all levels. The course features gentle, rolling terrain and spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
