Riverfront Cabin: Relax and Renew on the New River

The sounds and views of the beautiful New River with the Blue Ridge mountains as the backdrop greet you. A perfect place to sit on the large front deck, watch the river and simply relax and recharge. Your new riverfront home includes a spacious living area with the comforts of home - a large flat screen TV and internet. Vaulted ceilings with loft and gas fireplace with a fully equipped kitchen await. There are three bedrooms and loft space, with a master on the first floor and two bedrooms on the second floor so that everyone has their own space. Your new home away from home has two and a half baths and a washer/dryer. The loft is a perfect place to read, watch TV or play games. The back deck gives you a great view of the surrounding woods with a gas grill. Enjoy all the river has to offer with tubing, kayaking, and fly fishing. Todd General Store and Mercantile are just a short walk away. Visit Boone and West Jefferson which are only 20 min away for shopping, sightseeing, and many other activities. Whatever you need to relax and renew - this riverfront cabin is the place for you!

lovely cabin

😃 The cabin has comfortable bedrooms, a large living room with a fireplace, great for colder days! the kitchen has new utensils and appliances. outside there's a nice fire pit, great for hot chocolate and marshmallows! Excellent location and incredible river view. we love to stay in the cabin for 4 days, we'll definitely be back! Suggestion: a hot tub would make the cabin perfect! 😕deep cleaning in the bathrooms, watch out for spider web.

We had a great time with our family. We did some fishing, had a fire in the pit and relaxed. The tv was broken when we arrived (we really wanted to see the Panthers play!) and the owner ordered a new TV and had manager install the next day. Very good customer service! We will definitely consider coming back in the spring/summer to fish and relax again.

We didn't have a mountain view. We had a river view since the river flows right in front of the house. The little community of Todd, NC is within easy walking distance and is very friendly and historic. We loved this place.

Awesome place to stay. Felt like home with all the space and location. Our family enjoyed playing games together at night and snores at the fire pit. Will definitely come back.

Cabin location is great. Easy in, easy out. Although, no cell coverage in the area. Print the directions! The kitchen was not "well provisioned". It was provisioned with most things. You'll need to bring a sponge, food wraps (plastic, foil, baggies), baking sheet (only very small are available), standard spices, paper towels, wine glasses, and trash bags- especially for the bathrooms and bedrooms. I did find a spare kitchen trash bag in the can under the full bag. Would have been nice to know it was there. Also, the one cutting board is very warped. Might want to bring one of those too. The pots and pans were either really big or really small. However, they were quality pots and pans. The appliances were high end - LG Fridge, Range, Washer, and Dryer, Bosch Dishwasher. The Keurig was nice. Although, we had to fiddle with it to get the pod side to work. The trick is to press down on the lid down the whole time. The cabinets, especially the lower cabinets really needed a good cleaning. It was pretty gross where the trash can is kept. The two sponges in the sink were so gross and stinky that I had to go buy one at the Dollar Store.The beds were very comfortable and nighttime was very quiet- no traffic or other loud sounds.If you plan to use the outdoor fire pit, be sure to bring chairs and your own wood and fire starter. The view from the front porch is nice - looking over the road to the river. Although, the front porch furniture did not instill confidence.

This was out 2nd time staying at this cabin. We love the location. Cabin is so accommodating. The river was wonderful to listen too in the morning while sipping coffee...neighbor blowing leaves for 2 hours not so much. We will stay again hopefully next year. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

We rented the cabin for a weekend away with friends. We try to make a trip to the mountains with these friends at least once a year and we have stayed in several different places. The location of this cabin was easily found and we were not disappointed in the views or the cabin. We sat by the fire pit both nights we were there laughing, playing games and just relaxing from all the stresses of everyday life. We made friends with a tiny chipmunk who enjoyed some of our snacks. It was a very cozy cabin with all the comforts of home. Checkin and checkout were very easy. The owner was very friendly and checked in with us before the trip to make sure we had all the information needed. Cell service was minimal, but I saw that as a plus.

Great cabin in a beautiful and quiet location. All appliances and facilities worked just fine. Loved the sight and sound of the river. Would loved to have stayed longer than 2 nights, but our schedule didn't allow. Communication with owner and property manager was minimal and via Email, but was perfectly adequate. Great house for a fun family weekend for App State football game. Property was exactly as described. Clean, plenty of room and the view of the river is beautiful. We enjoyed the front porch and making s’mores at the fire pit. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back soon.

The place was very clean and inviting. Love the view of the river. Watched the deer off the back porch while sitting outside. All the locals were very kind. We think it needs blinds on the windows. The rain gutters need a gutter guard system. The hand rail on steps needs addressed. Other than that we absolutely loved it.

This was our 2nd stay and we love this cabin. No complaints but do wish they would stock the kitchen with a few more bowls and things to cook with before our next visit. Looking forward to our next stay!

My son and i hsd a great time even though it rained. The cabin was well stocked. Cabin was homey , we have stsyed at this cabin for 3 years location is great will be returning next year

Beautiful and peaceful! We took our own tubes and rode the river right outside the front door! Deer came to visit each evening. It was so nice we almost forgot to.leave. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

Our grandparents and dad were born nearby and the family church grounds were on this property. After the church moved, our grandparents purchased the land. Our dad's dream was to build a cabin on this property which became a reality a few years ago. After our dad passed away, our mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and the rental income from our cabin helps provide for her care. We enjoy sharing this special place and hope you find renewed energy and love for life as you enjoy God's blessings here.
