We sincerely apologize for finding other guests’ belongings under the bed and we’re addressing that with our cleaning crew directly. We’re actively working on clearing out the weeds and giving the space a much nicer overall look, including making sure the horseshoes pit is usable again. We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed the home's spectacular location and convenient access to downtown, as well as finding the kitchen well-stocked for your stay. We'd like to provide some additional context regarding a few of your observations. South Lake Tahoe is known for its mild mountain climate, and because temperatures typically cool significantly in the evenings, many homes in the area, including ours, are not equipped with air conditioning. We're glad the fans throughout the home helped make your stay more comfortable. As the property is located in a heavily wooded area, occasional encounters with insects and local wildlife are part of the mountain environment and unfortunately outside of our control. That said, we take cleanliness seriously. We followed up with our cleaning team regarding the ants and insects you mentioned, and they did not observe any unusual activity during their inspection and cleaning prior to your arrival. We have also personally stayed at the cabin during the summer months without experiencing similar issues. Nevertheless, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention and will continue monitoring it closely. Regarding the decor, the only seasonal item present is a strand of decorative lights on the second floor. The red holly-style berries are used year-round to add color and character to the home and were not intended as Christmas decorations. Many guests have enjoyed the cozy mountain aesthetic, though we understand that decor preferences can vary. We also appreciate your comments regarding the deck, lighting, and linens. Guest feedback helps us identify opportunities for improvement, and we will review these items with our maintenance and housekeeping teams.
