Great two story oceanfront villa located in Wild Dunes with beach and pool

This is a nicely decorated three bedroom, three bathroom two story villa with stunning views of the community pool and ocean! The open area of the living space, dining area and kitchen are perfect for your vacationing needs. It’s an overall beautifully landscaped complex with access to charcoal grills. Other features include: tile, hardwood floors, fully equipped kitchen and dishwasher, stainless steel appliances, outside deck off of living room area, three televisions, Smart TVs and WiFi and convenient pool and ocean access. Linens are included. No smoking. No pets.. No Cable.

**ATTENTION GUESTS: During high tide there is minimal beach available for beach walking or lounging. Some neighboring complexes may have sand bags out to protect their dunes from erosion. Please do not attempt to walk on the dunes or sand bags.**

Average beach rental

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I had higher expectations for rental given price and location on Isle of Palms. Patio door needs replaced. Deck furniture is plastic and has no umbrella. Living room furniture is old and pillows were dirty.

The unit needs an upgrade. The smoke detectors were not attached when we arrived. Every room was missing light bulbs. The pull cords were broken off the fans in all bedrooms. The porch light was out. The light above the stairs was burnt out making it hard for my elderly parents to see coming down the stairs at night. The shower door in the master was not attached at the bottom. One bedroom TV was broken. The main TV in the living room had black lines running up and down in the middle of the screen. The balcony slider door was broken. It was very difficult to open and close the door. There were also many spots where the ceiling was peeling. It looked as though a there had been a leak but was never repaired. The dryer door hinge was broken. Making it hard for the door to close. You had to lift the door and close it just right for the dryer to be used. The AC was not working as it should and was incredibly humid inside the unit. We contacted maintenence. They sent 2 repair men out and also a house representative. They replaced the light bulbs and fixed the hall light. We were told she would look into some sort of compensation for all of the issues reported. We have not heard back from her. This is my first time renting through Island Reality. It was not a pleasant experience.

Very neglected

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you are a college student with very low expectations then this is the place for you. It began when I opened the screen door and saw the rusted, paint peeled sad front door. When I entered it appeared to be very sparsely decorated with cheap furniture. The glass dining room table was full of scratches and I immediately put a blanket on the couch because I didn’t want to sit on it The blanket I retrieved from the closet had a huge round stain at least 10 inches wide. The paint was peeling of the walls and the base boards, the sliding glass door to the patio was so hard to open and loud, which brought you out to the patio with the hardest plastic chairs and table. I know we had to bring our own amenities, but there wasn’t even so much as a salt shaker there. The neighbor next door was renovating and the hammering lasted most of the work day. Other than that the location was very nice and the beds were comfortable.

All about the location

Reviewer Comments: i cannot gush enough about how beautiful the ocean view was and the pool area- the community was safe and well keptThe condo itself needed some TLC. The kitchen sink smelled and caused the whole first floor to smell like rotting fish the duration of our stay. There were roaches that properly gave me the creeps- two on patio and a dead roach behind the TV. The bed, sofa and chairs were uncomfortable and the living room furniture just looked quite dirty. Overall it was all about the location. the actual condo needs help

Great location, but not the cleanest condo

Location in Wild Dunes was wonderful. Can see ocean from back patio. Pool is right behind condo and beach was a short walk away as well. Was there on a girls trip so we weren’t in the condo too much. Condo had everything you’d need for a long weekend stay but definitely wasn’t the cleanest. Can’t beat the location - would have been a 5 star review if place was cleaner.

Didn’t particularly like walking up the stairs to the condo and also had stairs inside to 2 bedrooms. Having a washer and dryer were a nice feature. Kitchen was well supplied. However, pots and pans should be replaced..quite scratched. Would like plastic glassware especially for children. Plenty of seating but furnishings were older and soiled.

Family trip

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The property is in the perfect location and we enjoyed sitting gin the balcony and being able to see both the ocean and the pool. There were a couple of leaks that we had to call maintenance for, but they were quickly fixed.

Fall Beach getaway

Actually more than what we needed for my husband and myself. We wanted a getaway during my chemotherapy break and chose this lovely oceanfront complex. It was clean but need some updates particularly in the bathrooms. The kitchen really needed better pots and pans and utensils for those that cook in some during vacation. The pool is convenient and quiet. Our unit was on the second floor and therefore we had 3 flights of steps to the front door and then the master bedroom was on the second floor. Exhausting for me and also for my husband when carrying luggage and groceries and coolers. There was no cable tv in the unit and Netflix would not stay connected. Thankfully I took my laptop and an hdmi cable or we would not have been able to watch our shows at night.

There is evidence of water damage around the sky light, several places in the floors, and even mold around the electrical outlets. The roof leaked onto our bed during our stay for the majority of the week. The rental company was wonderful and very prompt to get someone out to try and fix the problem. We were just very disappointed with the condition of this unit considering the price to rent it.

The layout of the condos and amenities (eg pool, outdoor grilling area) is great and the proximity to the beach is exceptional. There is a considerable amount of deferred maintenance, however, that needs to be addressed. There was rotting wood everywhere. The door to our unit was scarred and in serious need of paint. Not very inviting! 4-D is in serious need of TLC - paint, furnishings, linens, etc. The dishes in the cabinets were dirty, also (lipstick on wine glasses, etc.).
