Located in the Charleston suburb of West Ashley, the home is convenient to many destinations in the area. West Ashley is flanked by the scenic waterfront vistas and marshes of the Ashley and Stono Rivers and colored by its famed ancient moss draped oak trees. Its initial neighborhoods were developed in the 1950s with its largest growth occurring throughout the 1970s and 80s. Its commercial and residential popularity exploded with the building of Interstate 526 the early 1980s and the Glenn McConnell Parkway in the 1990s. Today, it boasts inviting neighborhoods and funky retailers and restaurants as well as big box retailers and its own ‘auto mile.’ West Ashley is also home to great natural beauty and a large slice of history. Middleton Place, Ashley Hall and Magnolia Plantation are situated there as is Charles Towne Landing.
Having your own vehicle is the best way to explore the area as public transportation is not convenient in this location.
Uber/Lyft are always available should you choose to leave your vehicle parked.
DUPLEX HOME
The home is a duplex with a separate 3br bedroom unit attached. The units have entirely separate entrances and only share the laundry room and driveway for parking.
SUPPLIES
This home is available for 30 day minimum stays only and will come with a starter kit of supplies upon check-in that will include:
- At least two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom - Travel size shampoo/conditioner/body wash - Basic kitchen essentials/cleaning supplies - At least one roll of paper towels
Once the starter kit runs out, it is the responsibility of the guest to restock supplies for themselves throughout the remainder of their stay.

Your safety and comfort are our priority. In the unlikely event of a MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDER FOR CHARLESTON COUNTY during your stay, rest assured that both the Owner/Host and the Property Management Company WILL REFUND 100% OF YOUR PAYMENTS for the dates of evacuation. Once refunded, neither party will have further liability regarding your Reservation.
Please note that ONLY MANDATORY EVACUATIONS WILL QUALIFY FOR REFUNDS. No other travel disruptions due to weather, whether in South Carolina or other states, are eligible. For protection, consider travel insurance, especially in high-risk months like hurricane season. Airbnb`s insurance or other options are recommended. We recommend looking into Airbnb`s insurance or other alternatives.
INSECTS
As Charleston is situated in a warm, coastal climate it is possible to see insects inside or outside of the home at times. These include palmetto bugs, sand gnats, mosquitoes, ants, etc. Those who live in the Lowcountry just accept this as part of living here but it may be unsettling for those from other areas. The home is treated regularly for pest control but this will not entirely eliminate insects from getting inside at times. Please do your best to not keep doors and windows open and not leave food or drinks out in the home as this will attract insects. FINDING AN INSECT IS NOT CAUSE FOR A REFUND.
