For terrific food and ocean view dining visit 'Ramon's Restaurant' or any of the great Rocky Point Restaurants, less than 10 minutes away. The condo is graciously decorated and comes equipped with everything you need for an unforgettable vacation. Sonoran Sea is the perfect destination for a family vacation. Experience absolutely unobstructed ocean view and the most beautiful sunsets from your own private oceanfront balcony. Don't be deceived by other properties in Rocky Point that claim proximity to the ocean, only to find out later that you have to drive or walk for miles before you reach the beach. And even if you reach the beach, you may find a rocky beach. That is not the case with Sonoran Sea, which is located in 'Sandy Beach'. Why is it called Sandy Beach? Because it is! The area of Sandy Beach is the first major resort area in Rocky Point to include all underground utilities (gas, water and electricity). If you are familiar with Rocky Point, you know that it is very difficult to find a rental property with utilities, unless you stay at the usual 'chain' hotels. Fall Break 2019

We had a great stay for our Fall Break vacation Resort was awesome very friendly staff great location to beachfront. Our room was just as described with an amazing ocean view. I would highly recommend this place

Great escape

A very good unit that overlooks the ocean. What more could you ask when staying in Rocky point. The unit itself was adequate, the owner was very helpful. I would recommend upgrading some of the fixtures as the air peering to look a bit dated as it some of the furniture. However would not deter us from renting this unit again if necessary.

Fun in the Sun

This was a great 1 bedroom condoā€¦ā€¦very clean and had just about everything you need from a VRBO. Kitchen had what we needed, there were enough towels to use, bed was pretty comfortable (I think most of the condos could do well to upgrade their mattresses). We loved having a keyless lock vs a physical key!! The patio had furniture that was comfortable for sitting on for an extended period of time. The owner was very accessible and was most willing to answer any questions we had before our trip!! All in all, we would recommend this condo to anyone looking for a 1 bedroom with a great view!

Fantastic and Relaxing Family Getaway!

We had a wonderful time at Mel's Sonoran Sea property. Check in was very easy with both the security gates and the front desk. We received our bracelets from the front desk and they offered a luggage rack to us to take our luggage to the condo, which was great to have. The restaurant on the property (Ramons) as well as next door at Sonoran Spa were both amazing (Ramons was my favorite!). I was also shocked as to how good the food was at the pool swim up bar. Though we spent most of our time exploring Puerto Panesco, on the beach, or at the pool, the condo itself was great. There were multiple chairs and a side table on the patio which was lovely in the mornings and at night. The kitchen was well equipped with anything we would have needed. Everything was perfectly clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back!

The View was outstanding!

The second we walked in the room you could see the ocean through the huge sliding glass door that led to the balcony. that was pretty much all you could see until you got much closer to the glass, it was beautiful! the place was great! I read a lot of negative reviews about the staff and management after I booked the room and was a little nervous about it. we did not experience any thing of the sort. the staff from checking in to servers in the restaurant to security at the gate were all very nice and helpful. we loved the size of the condo, which best suits two people. The location was great and we felt safe leaving our motorcycle in the parking lot with the security staff walking around the place. we will be coming back here.

Disappointed

Upon arrival everything was fine, but throughout our stay it became worse because after checking out and after the fact we noticed that we had forgotten two items. ( IPhone charger in the master bedroom and a bouquet of artesanĆ­a Mexicana flowers) These flowers we left inside a vase on the kitchen table. We notified management who never responded to our situation or took care of our problem. I do not recommend the stay at the Sonoran Sea.

Beautiful Ocean View

This is only our 3rd trip to Rocky Point and first time at this property. The online description was totally accurate. Loved the balcony and view. Everything was tip top. The appliances (stove) may be in need of an upgrade, but all else was perfect. Lots of activity nearby. But so quiet pretty much all the time while on balcony. Only improvement we could have wished for was a little warmer weather. It was fairly chilly outside, but it was March. Owner was very responsive helping us with operating the heater, which we needed. TV was a bit of a challenge without any instructions. We never could figure that out, but did not really care! We were just fine to be in Mexico and see the ocean. Thank you, to Mel and his staff for great customer service!

It was okay.

We got there and we didnā€™t have a check in code. When we reached out to the host he sounded somewhat agitated and told me he was on vacation and I needed to speak to Susan. Susan was friendly and helpful, but forgot to email us the code in advance. When we finally got in the room it was just okay. Outdated furniture. There was water spilt on the restroom floor where it looked like they may have done a rush cleaning. We didnā€™t know how to function the shower knob so when we reached out for help the email link for service is not a valid email. No one answered the call because their office was closed. We got a response on the email/app the next day telling us that we needed to pull OUT the knob. Once we figured it out we were able to shower. Overall it was just okay. The view was amazing of course. We checked out a day earlier.

Dirty Condo

My worst fears of traveling to Rocky Point and selecting a condo/hotel for the first time came true! We had to keep shoes on at all times as the floors were gross-white flakes all over! I had to dust off the metal on the chairs at the table to sit down-could have written my name on them they were so dusty. There was a disgusting smell in between the bathroom and closet area. The shower barely had running water, it was only a small stream of water. The TV couldnā€™t get a clear channel. Only 1 working very dirty, GROSS elevator in the East building. Thank goodness we had friends staying in another hotel that had two rooms and could add us to there guests as we had to take extra showers there and use their pools vs our hotel due to cleanliness. Extremely disappointed! Will not return to this property again, nor will I recommend it!

Our condo is very nice. It was a little outdated but had everything that we needed. It was very clean and we were super happy that the bed was comfortable. Our view from the balcony was absolutely gorgeous and directly over the pool. We would stay again for sure.!

We have been coming to Rocky Point since 1999. As many Americans, we, came, we saw, and we fell in love with it. We booked our first reservation when there were just a few properties available. Standing in Sandy Beach (that is the name of the beach - it's very sandy, thus its name), we looked at the horizon and imagined that one day, instead of all-terrain vehicles cruising by and and all the campers, the landscape would drastically change.

Since Arizona does not have a beach, Rocky Point is considered Arizona's Beach. We felt that by creating a bridge between the properties and our prospective clientele would be ideal. You belong to one of these two categories: 1. You have been here before or 2. You have not (really?). For those who have been here before, you are in for a big surprise every time you visit. The landscape continues to change with no end in sight. And for those who have never been here, we would like to take this opportunity to greet you from far away and hope you give us the opportunity to be the bridge to your next vacation in your home away from home. It is hard to imagine that in only four hours and a nice scenic drive you could be in a different country that offers so much beauty, warmth and friendship, as you have never experienced before.

'Do You Dream in Blue?'. There is something magical about the color blue. The ocean and the sky brings happiness, enlightenment and, more than anything, relaxation. We are here to help you every step of the way.

Por que o anfitriĆ£o escolheu essa propriedade

I grew up along the blue waters of the Caribbean. Rocky Point allowed a short 4-hour drive from Tucson and the beach is absolutely beautiful, not to mention, the town and its people. As I said above, we came, we saw, and we fell in love with the town and have been coming back ever since. We want to share our experience with you. More than anything, it was the proximity to the ocean. If our condo were closer to the ocean, you'd get wet. There is nothing between you and the beautiful blue waters of the Sea of Cortez.

O que faz essa propriedade ser Ćŗnica?

There are no words to describe the sunsets in Rocky Point. A morning or sunset walk will bring back the peace and relaxation you crave. Our 1-bedroom is located high in the building (7th floor) and you can't get a better view of the ocean and the old port at night. The condo is 871 sq ft (734 sq ft living space + 137 sq ft terrace). Take a look at the pictures. There are pools and spas, swim up bar, on-side restaurant, tennis court, 24-hour security, and more...
