Summary:
Embrace Florida Keys style living in this wonderfully decorated 2 Bedroom Condo! You and your family will feel right at home and enjoy the ocean breeze from this double balcony unit. 5 Star Reviews all around. The Marlin Suites Building also has an array of games for guests to use underneath the building as well as new BBQ grills.
Amenities galore at Ocean Pointe: Pool with newly re opened pool bar, hot tub, tennis & pickleball courts, marina, boat ramp, beach and fishing pier, 24/7 security guard and complimentary parking for up to 2 vehicles.
The Space:
The Master Bedroom has its own in suite bathroom. The guest bedroom has its bathroom located right outside the door via the hallway. The kitchen is fully stocked and you have your choice of drip coffee maker as well as a Keurig. Plenty of seating for your entire family to comfortably enjoy your meals or just hang out. Underneath this building, you will find comfortable outdoor furniture to lounge in and charcoal BBQ grills.
Guest Access:
Each reservation comes with two spaces for car parking. You will get a unique door code to access the condo.
Boats and bot trailers are only allowed by paid reservation.
Please be aware that from September 9-October 14, we are replacing our elevator and elevator service may not be available. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
The Neighborhood:
Ideal Location in the Florida Keys
Ocean Pointe Suites is midway between Key Largo and Islamorada, the Diving and Fishing Capitals of the United States, promising you first-class fishing, diving and snorkeling opportunities, not to mention more fresh seafood than you can imagine! As the only reef system in the U.S. is right offshore, it doesn’t get any better than this!
This captivating Resort offers so many exciting amenities for your family. Soak up the sunshine at the Junior Olympic pool with plenty of sun loungers or soak in the giant bubbling hot tub. Enjoy an umbrella drink at the pool bar or get a snack with a cold beverage at the waterfront Cafe, hosted by Island Grill.
Onsite tennis/pickleball courts. Onsite charcoal grills and outdoor seating!
Enjoy the boardwalk to the marina and check out the catch of the day! If you’d like to bring your own boat up to 28’, dockage is available for an additional fee through the dockmaster reservation system.
With over 60 pristine acres, Ocean Pointe is the perfect blend of centuries old natural beauty and modern-day luxury and convenience for a great couples getaway or family retreat!
Getting Around:
DRIVING DIRECTIONS
If you are arriving via car and have a GPS / SatNav system in the car, please use 500 Burton Drive, Tavernier, Florida as the address. If you do not have a GPS device, you can find us from the mainland by taking the Florida Turnpike south to Exit 4 - Homestead/Key West. This is the Turnpike Extension that will connect you to Route US 1 in Florida City, which takes you through the Keys to Key West at the very end of US 1.
Please be aware that speed limits throughout the Florida Keys are strictly enforced. Driving Route 1 to Key West is one of the most beautiful drives there is. Please be especially careful through the Big Pine Key area as this is a Key Deer Refuge. Speed limits are reduced in this area. You can reach Ocean Pointe by following Route 1 south from Homestead, over the 20-mile causeway, past Key Largo and making a left onto Burton Drive at mile marker 92.5, just before the Circle K convenience store and Dairy Queen in the median. Ocean Pointe is approximately half mile down Burton drive on your right. Please excuse us as we undergo renovations for a new gate house.
GETTING HERE WITHOUT A CAR
We understand that some of you will be traveling without a car. We would not recommend this, as there are many places to visit, and it could be significantly more expensive. Ride share apps such as Lyft and Uber are available in the area. Some possibilities to explore:
KEYS AIRPORT SHUTTLE provides daily door to door shuttle service to and from Key West & the Florida Keys & Miami & Ft Lauderdale airports.
The GREYHOUND KEYS SHUTTLE has daily scheduled departures from the Miami Airport to all areas in the Keys.
CAR PARKING
Parking is provided for two cars on site and is easily accessible to our unit. Please be aware that all guests must be registered prior to coming, and the plate numbers of cars provided.
Other Things to Note:
MARINA RESERVATIONS
Please note that we do not manage the marina and cannot guarantee availability for boat dockage. You will have to contact the Dockmaster at Ocean Pointe, please contact us for the Dockmaster email address.
You will be required to submit a copy of the vessel insurance and registration along with the trailer registration and room confirmation. Please be sure to attach all required documents during your initial submission as failure to do so will delay our ability to process your request.
Use the Ocean Pointe Marina Amenity Reservation form to submit your request and required documentation directly to the Ocean Pointe dock master. To ensure you are able to use the marina and facilities prior to submitting a request, please see the general rules below:
Rules/Regulations/Restrictions:
• All operators of vessels in the marina must have a copy of a current insurance declaration page indicating a minimum of $300,000 bodily liability and $100,000 property damage coverage on file with the dock master.
• Owned or commercially rented vessels must be registered and insured or rented in the name of the owner or registered guest staying on the property.
• Vessels must not exceed 28ft registered length. (Note: maximum beam 9’6”)
• Jet Skis, Wave runners, Sea Doo's or other PWC are not allowed on property or in the marina at any time.
BEACHES
The Florida Keys isn’t really known for its vast beaches. We are a series of islands made up of coral rock. We do have some small beaches that are accessible but they are nothing like the beaches you will find on the west coast of Florida or the Miami/Ft Lauderdale area. The closest public beach is Anne’s Beach which is in south Islamorada. The best way to experience the Keys is to get out on the water. We have world class boating, diving, snorkeling, and kayaking!
