A well-appointed 2-bedroom, 2-bath, one-level condo on Sugar Mountain adjacent to the golf course and a 5-minuteĀ walk to the ski lifts, golf club,Ā tennis courts, and the tubing area. The relaxing space has a gas log stone fireplace, central heating, and two king beds with high-quality mattresses and linens. It also offers a comfy queen sofa bed in the living room.Ā 

Located in the heart of the Village of Sugar Mountain, the condo is steps from Sugar Mountain Resort, Ski Slopes, Golf, and Tennis. Golf and Tennis are available on a public and accessible basis, with reservations and pay-per-play options. It offers easy access to numerous activities, including skiing, snow tubing, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, winery visits, fine dining, shopping, and plays at Lees-McRae and the Appalachian Theatre.

Nearby attractions include Grandfather Mountain's hanging bridge, Banner Elk,Ā Valle Crucis, Beech Mountain, Boone, Blowing Rock, and Linville. Experience the best of the High Country with endless recreational and cultural opportunities.

The condo has a fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, fast internet, Smart TVs (3), hair dryers, and comfortable furniture. It was recently renovated and is centrally located to most amenities in Banner Elk, Sugar, Beech, and Grandfather Mountains, to name a few. The kitchen should offer everything you need during your stay. It includes a dishwasher, refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker (drip), and Keurig pod, cooking basics, spices, dishes, flatware, glassware, utensils, trash bags, paper towels, cloth towels, and dish detergent.

Unwind on the open deck overlooking the mountain laurel and seasonal golf course view, or in front of the stone fireplace, or watch TV on the Smart TVs (ready for your favorite streaming service). If you need to do some work, no worriesā€”the fast Wi-Fi makes it easy from 4,000ft!

Important FAQs:

Electric Heat with thermostat. The unit does not have A/C, as summers in Sugar Mountain are cool. However, you can open the windows and the sliding door in the living room to let in the cool mountain breeze. The unit featuresĀ ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living room, if needed.

The condo is one level. However, the walkway from the parking lot has 8 stepsĀ to reachĀ the front door.

Please keep food from vehicles and dispose of trash in bear-proof community trash containers.

The fireplace remote to operateĀ the fireplace is onĀ the right side of the mantle.

For guest safety, the unit has two Nest smoke/CO2 detectors, a Fire extinguisher, and an outdoor Nest doorbell with a camera atĀ the front door (facing out).

The town of Sugar Mountain regularly plows the streets in the winter. However, driving conditions can be hazardous. Use caution while driving in icy or snowy conditions.

Sugar Mountain follows a "quiet time" ordinance (prohibits loud noises) daily from 11 PM to 8 AM.Ā 

No parties or large gatherings in the condo are allowed.

Great location! Amazing stay! Hosts were great and the place was super clean. We loved being able to walk to Sugar Mountain to ski and it was so close to grocery stores and some great restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect mountain getaway

Very nice and clean condo with nice wooded view, had everything we needed including comfortable beds. Julio was a great to communicate with and was very quick to respond to our questions. My wife, daughter and two grandsons thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Glen. Would definitely stay again!

Cozy Getaway

Came for a few days and had a great stay. Extremely close to the ski lifts making it an easy experience getting started in the morning. The condo was very clean, beds extremely comfortable and has a great fireplace to play games or watch the around. Host was very responsive and made it an all around great experience for us!

Family ski tubing weekend

Perfect place to stay close to slopes and met all our needs. We even baked cookies for the ones on the slope for when they got back. Loved the cozy fireplace! Would rent here again.

We loved our few days at the condo! It is cozy and had everything we needed. The kitchen was very well stocked, the beds were very comfortable, and we had fun playing the games that were there. It was too warm to ski, but it was super close to the base of Sugar as well. Would definitely stay here again!

Great little place! Super easy

This is a great place to stay, the fireplace is awesome! Check-in was easy and painless. I had no issues with anything whatsoever. It's really close to Sugar Mountain, I walked to the lift in the mornings. Close to town for eats! 10/10 would stay again.

Great place for our snowboarding trip!

This is our second time staying at this property. We really enjoyed it. Owner makes check in and check out process super easy. Comfortable mattresses, easy to operate fireplace and overall very cozy place. Teens and us walked back and forth to the ski resort to snowboard, easy walk to the resort and other fun attractions like tubing and ice skating.

Canā€™t wait to Return!

This two bedroom condo is beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and is located just a short distance from the Golf Club. There are not many stairs to the entrance which was a huge plus for us. The owner was just a phone call away and easy to reach. Our best complement is that we are looking forward to our next visit, hopefully sooner rather than later!

Comfy and cozy!

Beautifully updated, clean and cozy condo. Comfy beds and linens. Kitchen is well stocked. We chose to drive to sugar mountain, it was a bit of a walk for us carrying our gear but still super close. Exactly what I envisioned a great winter getaway to be!

Comfy cozy perfection!!

Everything about Allenā€™s Place is what a vacation home should be! The beds, couch, sheets and towels are all high quality and incredibly comfortable. The kitchen had plenty of everything and the washer dryer were a huge bonus! Even with lots of fresh snow, the walk up to the ski lodge was super easy, we avoided the lunch crowd and came back to the room each day. We will absolutely be back, I wouldnā€™t think of staying anywhere else!!

Excellent location!

My teenage children and I, plus our dog, enjoyed a great weekend. The location was perfect. We have stayed at the top of the mountain for ski-in ski-out, but preferred to be closer to the resort. Driving and parking was a breeze. Condo was well equipped with everything we needed. Allen was easily available to answer questions and gave great restaurant and hike recommendations, Would definitely stay here again.

We are conveniently located in the middle of Pisgah National Forest and the highest Blue Ridge Mountains, with many things to do. While our village is best known for having the largest ski area in the state, the warmer months bring golf, tennis, mountain biking, trails, tennis, lift rides, a live music series, and plenty of scenic vistas.

We aim to provide a unique travel experience to our guests by making our condo a quaint, cozy, clean, and comfortable space to enjoy on their vacation. The condo furnishings and decor are personal, and we want to enjoy the condo during unused time. We have booked units that present well in pictures but, in reality, are undesirable because of old/run-down furniture, old linens and towels, dirty walls, etc. It's a terrible experience, and we aim at the opposite.
