The Brocklebank House" This soulful, single-level home rests on Happy Hill, just a half-mile east of Moonstone Beach. Colorfully decorated, hand-painted furniture & lampshades, hardwood floors, and a fireplace to cozy up to. Dining in front of a bay window, and a breakfast nook, next to French doors leading to the deck, and the
park-like yard. Sheltering oaks, Pines, and Banana trees, line the yard for privacy, and dining on the deck. Your dog is welcome, although the yard is not fenced. We have cable, and Wifi, too! TOT#0000513

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location great, home clean and in good shape with all amenities working, in nice quiet neighborhood, close to surrounding areas to see. We did have an issue w/working the DVD player; contacted the mgt. office; nice guy said he look into and texted that he had msg. to owners. We eventually figured a way to stream through our own Netflix accoutn. But was disappointed that the DVD player didn't work. Otherwise, overall great stay and is a recommend.

This is a great home and has lots of previous memories to share. We love the hominess. and of course it was well stocked , The location is top knotch very close to Moonstone beach and to town ,. We would recommend to anyone who was a quiet and relaxing home with all amenities needed.

Peaceful setting

This is a beautiful old home set on a beautiful lot with mature trees. It was within walking distance to the little town and you could hear the surf! Very comfortable.

Holiday with friends

Enjoyed the house. The dog didn’t care for the yard I guess the trees scared him. It would have been nice if the sensor lights stayed on longer as it was awfully dark when taking him out during the night.

Beautiful Location

The house itself was perfect and had all the amenities we needed. I was slightly thrown off having a separate pick up location for the keys, but that didn’t end up being too out of our way. Also, lots of Spider-friends around. We found one in an entertainment drawer, one in one of the beds, and another one in the bathroom the next morning hanging from the ceiling. Besides that this place was great!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lovely, cozy house in Cambria. Our family enjoyed our stay, and appreciated the well appointed kitchen for meals. Large outside deck was perfect for reading and enjoying nature. We even saw a group of deer walk placidly through the yard. All in all a good home base for a trip to the central coast.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was nice and the location was good. House did not have one working outside light. Literally the reason I booked this house was the deck so we could bbq steaks and have a place to sit outside. It was way too dark to do that so it was a major bummer. When I called, the man I spoke to was a little gruff. And who wants to sit around and wait for a guy to come and look at fixing the house you spent so much money on so we opted to just change our plans. But the house itself was clean and the beds were comfortable.

The Brocklebank house met all our needs. The house was clean and everything was in working order. The neighborhood is super quiet and we will definitely consider coming back.

Enjoyable Cambria Stay

We really liked the location and layout of this home. Everything you could need for a trip was provided; plenty of kitchenware, diningware, towels, blankets etc and all in nice condition. It had a nice deck that we sat out on and had lunch a couple of days. It should be noted though that the dishwasher wasn't great, didn't really clean the top deck; the fridge, microwave and oven could do with updating, and the gas pressure was pretty bad on the stovetop meaning it took a while to heat anything up. We also had some issues with no hot water, however the agent was super responsive when we reported it and came out within an hour, thank you! Overall the issues were fairly minor and we really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely Getaway

This is a well-stocked, comfy, cozy home a 5-10 minute walk down to a beautiful beach. For three of us staying two nights and just wanting to hang out, it was perfect. The fireplace worked great; the kitchen had pretty much all we needed to make some breakfast; WiFi was easy; the beds were pretty comfy; there were cards and games and puzzles (it was rainy!). The yard was beautiful and I wish the weather had been better so we could've enjoyed it.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Although in a good location and welcoming to dogs, renter beware. Interior walls and doors have grubby spots and scratches. Bedrooms and corridor have old carpets with an odor. Bed was uncomfortable. A set of window drapes looked like they had been wet from a leak and were starting to grow mold. Outdoor table cover was torn in several places and table needed to be cleaned before use. The rear yard it overlooked was uncared for. On Saturday a nearby party venue played loud music until 10pm. Some effort has been made to make living area comfortable, and although the house has some charm it is teetering on the brink of being unacceptable. It needs more attentive maintenance but even better, updating.

It was well stocked with coffee maker and extra blankets which were newer but there is outdoor furniture for a dining table. the bedrooms have older carpet and are a bit musty. it was pretty well cleaned though a few cobwebs in corners. I actually did not mind the oldness of the house but just was not prepared based on the other reviews. All the legal papers after the purchase was a bit strange as well.
