No Pets Allowed. Built in 1906, this historic house was originally the lightkeeper's residence at the Piedras Blancas Lighthouse, gateway to Big Sur. You will be touched by the charm and grace of this beautifully restored ocean-view Victorian. Wood floors, authentic antiques, ocean view, and many other special touches add to the romance of this immaculate and spacious landmark home.

Downstairs the house features two bedrooms, one queen and two twin beds, a full bathroom with claw-footed tub and shower, family room with flat screen TV and DVD player, dining room and full kitchen with large butcher block island perfect for dining and entertaining. Upstairs is a large master suite with queen bed, TV and VCR, sitting area, full bathroom with separate stall shower and large tub, and a balcony with sweeping ocean views.Short walk to Moonstone Beach, beautiful yard, TV, VCR, ocean view, washer / dryer. Absolutely beautiful property! Looks better than the photos. Spent a quiet, peaceful weekend here enjoying the house, walking the beach, and having fun taking in all the scarecrow festival entries displayed around town.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful Victorian in a breathtaking location. The gardens, the home and the beach make this a truly idyllic spot. You can literally feel and sense the history of the home. We ate dinners and played games at the dining room table as if we were transported back to the days at the lighthouse. A special bonus was reading about the person who lived at the lighthouse in the fifties and returned. Amazing

Perfect cousins weekend

We were delighted with the property and could have happily stayed at the house and just enjoyed the garden, the views and the cozy parlor. It was the perfect setting for hot cocoa after our trip to the Cambria Christmas market. We took advantage of the location and enjoyed several walks on the beach.

Birthday celebration

Everything was wonderful. We enjoyed walks along the broadwalk and hiking trails on the ranch. Enjoyed sunsets from the deck and in the kitchen around the island. Lots of great food in town. Weather was good, some fog, but it blew out later in the morning. Loved reading the history of the house and the moving of it.

Tranquility in Cambria

Location Location Location. Celebrated my 70th BD, 3 adults and grandson, 6 years old. Loved this well stocked and historical interesting home. Views of the Ocean and Garden a perfect mix for relaxation. Walked every morning along Moonstone Beach, less than 5 minutes from home. Loved the upstairs privacy and the hike up the stairs was really no problem, just go slow. One suggestion, swap out the queen bed upstairs to a King..

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: a nice quaint, clean old house in need of updating. Beautiful landscaping. Matresses are like sleeping on plywood. Couch was the softest in the house so if you want comfortable nights sleep - not here. They need to update TV - larger and newer. Get a gas BBQ. Old webber - charcoal/rusty. Location was great.

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second stay at this unique Victorian home.It is a cozy and well-located home with lovely landscaping and an old world charm. The kitchen is well stocked for meal prep and is a pleasant place to sit and enjoy the ocean view.As has been mentioned by a couple of other reviewers, the stairs to the upstairs bedroom may not be appropriate for someone with balance/mobility issues...as they seem to be original to the home and are not easy to navigate.We have had an issue with ants in the kitchen/dining room (and upstairs bathroom) during both our visits...even though our food items were securely contained.Also, be aware it will take several hours for the home to warm up after the heat is initially turned on...after which time, the home will remain comfortable as long as the heat is not turned off again for any length of time.Upon checkout, we passed along these issues to Property Management.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, quiet, comfortable beds, plenty of storage, nice deck, big kitchen, close to town, BUT...there are improvements needed....downstairs bathroom sink does not have hot water, upstairs showered should be replaced instead of needing to operate it by reading a 3 step instruction list, TV operating instructions are incorrect and not clear, furniture in dining room is bulky and makes it hard for people to get around for access.I have been visiting this property for almost ten years and have noticed a significant decline in overall condition as if someone forgot to take care of such a special unique home. Needs some TLC for sure, maybe start by painting the exterior. Lastly, the customer service from rental agency is unfriendly and unavailable. Doesn't really match the friendly vibe from the town and merchants who welcome visitors. Hope my review helps!

Fun times with friends in Cambria.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We invited a few friends to join us at the cottage and they loved it just as much as we always have. We enjoyed eating in the kitchen around the large wooden island, in the dinning room at the beautiful table and on the patio enjoying the lovely garden backyard and cool breezes. It is lovely to just walk 1 block and be able to stroll along the coast boardwalk, looking out at the beautiful ocean and rock formations. So close to up town where we explored some fun shops and wonderful restaurants. We took a short hike on the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve and had fun showing our friends the quaint town of Harmony. We always enjoy the sunsets and even experienced a Full Super Blue Moon from the upper balcony.

We love the location with its easy walk to the beach, the deck, kitchen and living room, we spent hours sitting in the kitchen talking. The garden was lovely as well!The downstairs bath tub/shower wais tough for the seniors in our group and the stairs were steep for my 91 year old mother but overall, we love it.
