The property was beautiful and we had a great retreat, but the listing could benefit from a more accurate description. The townhome itself was great and met our basic needs, but the listing was pretty misleading regarding privacy. It was advertised as two wings of a townhome, but upon arrival, we discovered the host's parents live in the middle section of the property. While we had no intentions of throwing parties or breaking rules, having unannounced permanent residents living directly between our spaces felt like an infringement on privacy since it wasn’t disclosed beforehand in the listing or reviews. This setup should be disclosed in the listing description beforehand so guests can make an informed decision. If you are looking for a completely private getaway, be aware of this layout. The couple was very kind and it did not cause any issues for our weekend but it caused some stress upon arrival as we had no idea what to expect with this setup and felt a little bothered by the lack of disclosure. Having a picture of the layout of the home and the two sides would help clarify this as well. The outdoor space on the property was awesome (The kids loved the little beach!) and the indoor space worked well for sleeping. There was space for 17 in beds, plus a futon in a downstairs living room, and a twin pullout couch in one king room. They are also not connected inside in anyway. You need to walk outside 50 yds or so to access the other side you’re renting.
