Disappointed

The place was nice, spacious and clean. When we go to Florida we like to spend a lot of time outside, it means having a balcony or yard. The place had spectacular three furnished balconies that were, unfortunately, closed a few days after we arrived. We Spent the remaining 5 weeks sealed inside for some outside renovation someplace else. We had many other options and definitely would not have chosen an expensive location where to feel miserable. For an 87-year-old that means a lot.

The condo view is beautiful, three balconies overlooking the ocean. Perfect location, groceries, restaurants walking distance. Nice manager to communicate with as well as the staff in the building. The condo could use newer updates, furniture, appliance etc. Overall good.

Pros: views views views. Kitchen very nice and well stocked. Staff at pool and beach great. Manager very responsive. Balconies. Bedrooms spacious. Bathrooms good except water pressure very low. Cons: apartment somewhat shabby and living/dining room set up somewhat cramped. Busy spot due to pier and beach. Beach crowded by early in the day. Elevators always have long wait. Valet parking takes forever. We had a very pleasant month.

Good and bad

Iā€™ll start with a good to begin with, it has a million dollar view from three separate balconies looking south along the beach toward Miami. The furnishings, couch tables and beds, were very nice and modern. The property is located right by the pier and within close proximity to restaurants and shopping. The beach is fabulous. The pool is very nice though is quite shaded for most of the afternoon. Lastly the building is very secure with key card access required. On the negative side of the ledger, Iā€™ll begin with an application process that surprised us. Approximately two weeks before we were scheduled to arrive I received a notice saying that I needed to apply in order to be admitted to the building. This was after we had fully paid the price of the rental months before. The application process required us to supply Social Security number, bank information, credit card information, copies of passports, car registration among other items. We have used Vrbo many times and have never had a situation like this. Iā€™m concerned with providing this much information to an organization that has no need and unknown controls/intentions. In addition, the unit is not very clean vents are caked with dust floors were dirty walls are in dire need of a fresh coat of paint. Routine maintenance seems to have been ignored. Lastly, the building itself has issues. Twice during our stay we were informed of an emergency that required us to vacate the building. It was not unusual for one or more of the elevators to be out of service. This required long waits for elevators to come in and out of the building. The hot tub heater and units were routinely broken and the heater on the pool also broke toward the end of our stay.

Great place and the best location!

The place is exactly as in the pictures, the building has everything you need, the location is perfect and the host was very nice. On the other hand the "check-in" process was a little bit of a nightmare because you had to go trough a very long process of tenant application

Great condo with spectacular views!

Great location right on the beach/ocean. Not too busy or crowded, and a great restaurant right outside the pool gate on the beach. Mauricio, the property manager, was very nice, responsive and helpful.

Great Place

Our experience was absolutely wonderful. We had an amazing stay visiting the sights but coming back to "home' each night. The pool was fantastic so warm. The staff from the valets to pool side arrendants we Great. We are looking forward to coming back next year.

The location and view was perfect. The rooms were perfect for our family of 5. Very easy to communicate with property manager who helped when necessary. We extended our stay by one day and wish we could have stayed even longer.

Great Place to Stay

Was in town with friends for the National Championship game. The condo was very nice and comfortable. The building itself also very nice with pool and hot tub. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. The location was great with a good beach bar on the pier right outside the pool. The property manager, Mauricio, has was also very responsive to any questions and helped the stay go very well for all of us. Hope to bring the family back down soon.

Location location location

I rented this amazing apartment for 5 days with my adult children! It was perfect! We normally come to this area and stay at the Diplomat, but this was wayyy better!! The location was great- nice restaurant/bar at the pier and they give you 20% off for staying at these apartments! Mauricio was great amd answered all my questions! The beach is beautiful and the pool was heated. The staff at the building are super friendly! The apartment has stunning views! The ocean, inter coastal- just perfect! We spent quite a bit of time on the balcony in the sun! The apartment was super spacious! 2 huge bedrooms and an office/den that was perfect when the kids had to take a final online! We will definitely be renting again!!

Luxury Condo!!

Loved staying in this beautiful condo in sunny South Florida! The accommodations are 5 Star and Mauricio is wonderful to work with. The location was excellent as we were beside the pier, on the beach with restaurants, groceries, Starbucks and pharmacy all within walking distance. The most wonderful sushi restaurant - Rice Asian House is across the street as well. Would definately come back and rent through Marricio and VRBO!!!

Great vacation and convenient location

Out family of five - 2 adults and 'kids' age 21, 19 and 15 - had great stay at La Perla. Having three balconies was a nice treat and the office served as a great third bedroom. The location was convenient since we were close to Miami and had the necessities - like grocery, pharmacy and restaurants - within walking distance. The condo was clean and well stocked and Mauricio was accessible and helpful.. The beach and pool were both clean and beautiful. Our only suggestion would be to have a directory with instructions on the window shades, nearby amenities, where the trash chute is, what/when to tip the valet etc. We would absolutely rent this condo again!
