Odor through unit from old, dirty carpet
The location was wonderful as well as the ocean view, but the moment we opened the door we were struck with an odor that we soon figured out was from the old carpet in most of the unit. It smelled like old cigarette smoke and mustiness. We dealt with that odor for our entire 2 week stay and finally bought a fragrant candle to try to mask it. The ice in the ice bin in freezer was yellowed and partially melted. The listing said there were beach chairs and beach toys. There were none. We contacted the property manager who came by a day and a half later with lawn chairs rather than beach chairs and also brought a hair dryer which was also missing. The wall above the king size bed was dirty at the area where the pillows are. The doorwall to the balcony does not close tightly and the retractable screen fell apart the first time we used it. If the owners of this unit would invest in new flooring, fresh paint and a little maintenance, it would be a great place. The pool area is wonderful and we did enjoy the tennis courts. Traffic always seemed to be light in that area which was also a plus. If you like beach walking and shell collecting, this was a nice location for that. We found a few nearby restaurants we liked as well. The Kennedy Space center is only an hour away so that’s a good place to spend a day. We even saw a launch right from the condo balcony. Rated based on the odor we endured which we feel was very unacceptable. Tile or vinyl throughout would do wonders.
