Located in Rathmichael, South County Dublin, on a quiet tree-lined cul-de-sac, The Nook adjoins a large family home set within 2.5 acres of gated gardens.

Recently renovated throughout, The Nook features:

Surrounded by open countryside, The Nook enjoys uninterrupted views of Carrickgollogan Hill and Rathmichael Wood, while still being less than a 10-minute drive from the coast.

Guests have private access via a separate entrance, with lockbox and electric gate codes provided before arrival. The Nook offers self check-in, and Daniel is available via the Vrbo app or by phone if assistance is required during your stay.

The adjoining main house is Daniel’s family home. Guests are left to enjoy The Nook in privacy while respecting the private areas surrounding the main house.

Lovely Accommodations

Lovely, quiet accommodations adjacent to the main house. Bed was comfortable, sitting room was attractive and cozy, and there was plenty of hot water for showers. Owner was on site and available to answer our questions. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Location outside of city of Dublin near the sea town of Bray. Host was fantastic, great communication and very informative. Hose was right next to a series of hiking trails to interesting sites and views of the Irish Sea..

Absolutely excellent!

Staying at The Nook was an absolutely excellent start to our Ireland adventure. It was the perfect place for us to stay while exploring Dublin and the surrounding areas. The accommodations are perfect for two or three couples, and we found the setting in the countryside to be ideal vs. staying at a hotel in Dublin. And Daneil was great to work with. We can't wait to come back!

Perfect Stay In Ireland

The Nook is a perfect VRBO. It had everything we needed for our 6 night stay in Ireland. A bonus for sure was having the ability to wash/dry clothes. Daniel, was very efficient with communication and we had no problems with check-in and check out. The place has plenty of room and allowed us all to spread out be very comfortable.

Clean, quiet, easy accomodations for a small family

Clean, reasonably spacious for 4 adults and a 1 year old baby, well appointed for cooking. They even had a high chair and portable crib for the baby already set up for us. The location is an easy drive to the DART station and the Rathmichael woods are just outside the door and an absolutely beautiful walk. We really enjoyed our time!

Clean, secure, beautiful rental

This property is well maintained and very spacious with very gracious hosts. We enjoyed the local area around Bray as well as the easy access to the Wicklow Park region and Dublin. Train access was close by and really a nice easy way to enter Dublin. I would definitely book this location again! My only addition that would make this place absolutely perfect would be a washing machine and dryer.

Lovely stay

The Nook was a fabulous stay! Daniel was very communicative during the stay. My children loved “playing” tennis every morning (in quotations because they’re three and 4 months!) relatively easy to get into Dublin if needed but we really enjoyed being outside the city. Spent a lot of time on the Bray Promenade! Would recommend for anyone with families!

Couldn't have been better!

Five of us stayed at Daniel's place for a couple of nights at the end of our Ireland trip. This was easily the nicest place we stayed throughout our 2-week trip. The Nook was clean and comfortable, and (unlike every other place we stayed) had sufficient hot water for all of us to shower. The area and grounds are beautiful and the proximity to Dublin city can't be beat. Their pup Ben was an added bonus, we loved running into him and showering him with pets! We hope to stay again on our next trip, and absolutely recommend it if you're looking for a place near Dublin!

Great stay convenient to Dublin

We enjoyed our stay at this house. It was conveniently located minutes from the train station and train ride is about 40 minutes to Connolly station. We had some difficulty initially finding the house as cell phones did not work upon arriving from U.S. Make sure owner emails you well in advance with exact directions. Otherwise house was well stocked and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Very Nice

We really enjoyed our stay at the Nook even though it was a quick visit for one night. Patrick was very helpful throughout the entire experience and even let us use his personal freezer to store some items. The house was lovely along with the grounds/landscaping. The only recommendation I would make is the interior needed a little sprucing up maybe with a fresh coat of paint in a couple of the rooms.

Beautiful Property, Beautiful Neighborhood

The property was even more lovely than the pictures. The rooms were very large, and the garden was beautiful. Daniel was very easy to contact, and extremely accommodating. My son got sick during the flight there, so he was gracious enough to let us check in a little early. We were a little cold, but got much cozier when we remembered to turn on the fireplace.

Perfect hideaway for those with cars.

An attractive and spacious "nook" in beautiful surroundings just outside Dublin. For visitors with a car, the secure gated parking and easy access to the city is perfect. Communication with Daniel was quick and clear. Recommended.

De locatie en het huis geweldig! Een plek om tot rust te komen... Communicatie verliep prima. Wij vinden echter wel dat de schoonmaak wat beter zou kunnen, zo ook de inventaris van de keuken. Ook verschillende lampen waren defect. Verder hebben we echt genoten van het fijne huis en de rust. Ook de bezoekjes van de honden vonden we erg gezellig, wat een lieverds! We zouden deze plek zeer aanraden en hopen nog eens terug te komen in The Nook!

Super - aber ohne Pool

Super sauber, super Kommunikation, super Service. Zu bemängeln ist bestenfalls, dass der Pool nicht betriebsbereit war - kein Drama, aber sollte erwähnt werden. Die Lage ist etwas ab vom Schuss, ein (Miet-)Auto unserer Meinung nach dringend erforderlich! Alles in Allem absolut empfehlenswert 🍀

The Nook is ideally located for exploring Dublin, the coast and the Wicklow Mountains, combining a peaceful countryside setting with easy access to many of the region’s best attractions.

Dublin City Centre is approximately 35 minutes away, with convenient DART access from Shankill. The Aviva Stadium is easily reached by DART for Ireland rugby and football internationals, concerts and other major events. The RDS in Ballsbridge, home to Leinster Rugby, the Dublin Horse Show and numerous exhibitions and events, is also easily accessible.

The coast is less than a 10-minute drive away, with Dalkey, Killiney, Dún Laoghaire, Bray and Greystones all within easy reach. Popular sea-swimming and bathing spots include Killiney Beach, the Vico Bathing Place, the Forty Foot and Bray seafront.

To the south, guests can explore Enniskerry, Powerscourt House & Gardens, Powerscourt Waterfall, Killruddery House & Gardens, Glendalough and the Wicklow Mountains National Park, with numerous hiking and walking trails nearby.

Golfers are particularly well served, with Powerscourt, Dún Laoghaire and Druids Glen all within easy reach. Brittas Bay Club (formerly The European Club) is also nearby, while internationally renowned courses including The K Club and Portmarnock make excellent day trips.

Other local attractions include Johnnie Fox’s Pub, The Harbour Bar in Bray, Mount Usher Gardens and the Ski Club of Ireland in nearby Kilternan.
