Soaring Eagle 2 BR, Top Floor, Long range sunset views, Ski in/out

Soaring Eagle Lodge offers the BEST accommodations on the mountain, and are the top properties rated by the Snowshoe Resort. After staying here you will never want to stay anywhere else. Our 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo is slightly less than 1200 square feet of comfortable living space.

Located on the top floor, the condo offers beautiful long-range sunset views from the private 6 x 16 ft balcony or from one of the double windows. Our unit also offers 9 foot ceilings. The main living area provides a large flat screen smart TV & Blue Ray Player above a gas fireplace.

The Kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. This makes it easy and convenient to make a family meal with all the amenities of home, including a microwave, dishwasher, blender, crock-pot, toaster, both a multi cup and a Keurig single serving coffee maker, etc (A selection of Keurig coffee is provided). The dining table seats 5, with 2 additional places at the bar. There is also a buffet in the dining room, which is full of family games, toys and puzzles for the children.

The master suite has a king sized bed, dresser, night tables with reading lamps and a 42 inch flat screen TV with Blue player & cable. The large tiled adjoining bath has a garden tub with a separate shower. The second bedroom comfortably holds a queen sized bed, chest and flat screen TV. The large hall bath is also fully tiled with a shower. There is also a convertible sleeper sofa is available in the main living area. There is more closet space than you could ever use. A must for our family is the washer and dryer conveniently located in a separate closet (Warm up or dry out those gloves with each bathroom break). Laundry detergent and dryer sheets are also provided.

As for activities, the Soaring Eagle Doppelmayr high-speed quad lift provides direct access to the green rated Upper Flume, the blue rated J-Hook or 4 of the black diamond slopes. This building is truly ski-in, ski-out with the lift located steps from the ground floor locker room. The unit is within walking distance (or utilize the free shuttle service) to the many shops, restaurants, Split Rock Pool, and the other attractions of the Snowshoe Resort.

You can access onsite ski and snowboard rental from Elk River. For advanced booking and or rate information please visit their website. You can also visit the new Prime 10 restaurant, which offers the some of the best ambiance, seafood and steaks on the mountain. They do take reservations, so make sure to call ahead. Afterwards you can enjoy drinks in The Hearth Room.

Summer activates include the Snowshoe Bike Park, dozens of hiking and biking trails, mountain streams for fly-fishing and beautiful scenic drives. The Greenbrier River Trail offers 80 miles of flat terrain. You can enjoy paddle boating at the lake, train rides, golfing, the rope swing at the river, festivals and much more.
