Surf Song #331 - 1 bedroom 1 bath gulf view over roof - common balcony. King in bedroom, single sleeper sofa. Non Smoking. Patio w/ chairs. Great third floor, near elevator. New kitchenette, Nice floor plan. Next door management office by SunHost. Free Wifi

You will be required to sign a rental agreement with SunHost Resorts prior to a reservation being confirmed.

When staying in a SunHost unit you will also have access to 7 day a week office staff, office services (copy, print boarding passes etc.) We also have maintenance available 7 days a week if you experience any issues at the property and an after hours emergency on call person. This is a non smoking unit.

Of course, Surf Song Resort is not only known for its comfortable and sought after rentals, but also for its premiere location along Madeira Beach. Here you will enjoy a short walk to the gorgeous gulf beaches, heated swimming pool, as well as all other amenities including John's Pass Village. The Pass is a quaint turn-of-the-century fishing village and Pinellas County's #1 tourist attraction. The Village has over one hundred unique shops, a variety of restaurants, the local fishing fleet, dolphin watching and shelling tours, boat rentals, parasailing and jet skiing. Best of all as a SunHost customer you can walk to this great entertainment destination. Anchor tenants include Bubba Gumps, Hooters and Hubbards Marina and also world famous Bamboo Beer Garden.

Madeira Beach is a sought after community, just west of St. Petersburg. Its 2.5 mile beach is popular with sun lovers and offers some of the best fishing in the area. This Gulf getaway has something for everyone, including dolphin watching, water sports along some of the most beautiful crystal clear waters in the world.

Nearest airports are Tampa International Airport at just over 20 miles and St. Petersburg Clearwater International at 10 miles away.

A fun (and socially distanced) week

My girlfriend and I had a great time at SurfSong. The unit was clean and had everything we needed. The property is in a great location, being right on the beach and across the street from John’s Pass. We didn’t feel at risk for Covid, as our unit was properly sanitized before our stay, and guests were mindful of social distancing. We’re very happy with our stay and are hoping to come back next year.

The ventilation air conditioner (cold and smelly air) blows directly on your head when you sleep on the bed. We got sick. The room was cleaned very lazily and of poor quality. Everything else is good except for the above

GREAT LOCATION

If your "Boujee" this isnt for you. But if your like me and my husband looking for a clean place, great bed, easy beach access and easy entertainment look no further. Directly across from Johns Pass, 2 min walk to beach. Beautiful clean pool. Condo is nice if your not looking to be in it all the time. We are beach lovers so used place to sleep and shower. Needs some paint from wear and tear. And thats due to people who dont know how to take care of others property .same with couch. Watwr stains from wet bathingsuits. Thanks for a great time!

2024 vacation over Hurricane Helene

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My wife and I love this area and vacation here nearly every year. The condo is in perfect location to the beach and Johns Pass. Unfortunately this year our 9 night stay was cut 4 days short because of Hurricane Helene. There was a mandatory evacuation order and we had to leave early. I did purchase the travel insurance. I made a claim and should get a refund shortly for the days we could not use the condo. We are heartbroken over the devastation of the area, and wish everyone well in their rebuilding. We will definitely be back, probably next fall.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very disappointed! We are repeat guest at surf song and this was the worst experience. Room 331 at Surf Song was not maintained and dirty. Slider did not lock on shared patio, sponge for mattress, sofa filthy, shower leaked. Pot smoking inside room next to us. Smell was awful and grounds not maintained as in the past. When telling Management it was disregarded saying it is owner’s responsibility and they could do nothing as far as pot smoking even though smoking is not allowed because that was the owner staying in room 332. Really? Come on you should have standards for upkeep Sunhost!

Reviewer Comments: Based on pictures on website versus in person I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! Very dirty, pull out did not have sheets and foam mattress was stained yellow along with couch having stains! Was not equipped with anything to cook with if you wanted to cook a meal! Plenty of utensils a pan to boil water and some storage bowls but plenty of dishes to eat on! For the money I would not rent again! The last three times I have rented through Sunhost has been horrible and they don’t even respond to my concerns! I have been going to that area staying in Sunhost rentals and they continue to deteriorate! After this stay I will never rent from Sunhost again! They truly need to do a better job maintaining units and truly caring that people are paying a lot and should at least get everything that is stated that will ne provided when renting!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Dirty room. Horrible bed. We woke up everyday so sore and in pain. Lights did not work in bathroom. Some dishes were dirty. The couch was so dirty and stained I put a blanket over it before we sat on it. The location is nice because it’s right on the beach and a short walk to St. John’s Pass. The kitchen had basic necessities to cook which was nice- except we had to rewash every dish before use because there were specks on the dishes of food on some silverware still. Overall the “cleanliness” factor was quite repulsive and I would never ever recommend anyone to stay here. We also found 2 ticks in our room- not sure if it was room related or just due to the area. But we had friends stay in the same complex and they had no issues with ticks.

We could be as lazy or as busy as we wanted

This was a great getaway spot! Lots of things to do and see, great view from the room, wonderful pool and beach location! We will definitely return!

Madeira Beach Stay

Everything was good, there were very few issues until the checkout. We mistakenly thought we had one more day and when the office called I asked if we could stay another night. They said yes, no one would be staying in our condo for another 2 days. But after the call, I though we should just pack up and leave. So we did just that and were ready in a few hours. I went to the office and told them we were checking out and if they could just give us a late check out, and they said No. So disappointed that we were charged for a full day and night for 3 hours. I tried to email the owner to see if they could help, and got the same answer. oh well, there are many other places to stay!

July 2019 Stay

We’ve stayed in this same room 2 years in a row, it’s clean, nice features, but the bathroom is just very small. It would help greatly if the cabinet in front of the toilet could Be removed, and a shelf put on the wall For towels. My boyfriend is very tall and it makes it hard to maneuver. You can’t get to the toilet if the bedroom door is open.

Not Worth The Money

The floor plan of this suite made it difficult to maneuver or get comforatable. For instance, the bathroom has two entrances, one of which is a sliding door (does not close properly). Once inside, the corner shower stall is so small that my arms hit the door. Hard as it was for me (at 5' 2") imagine my husband's challenge a foot taller. Furniture in living room was uncomfortable so we spent most of our time in the kitchen/dining area (which was great) or bedroom. Bad weather limited outside activities so accomodations became important. We have been coming to the Terasure Island area for several years and rental properties have always met expectactions. This one was not worth the money.

Great spot for a beach holiday!

Well kept condo. Stocked well. Nicely decorated and up to date. Loved being on the ocean and sitting on our deck to enjoy coffee and see it. Great location. Lots to do around this spot at Johns Pass.
