We Have Just Completed a Year Long Expansion of Guesthouse and Major Renovations to Property. We Have Begun Offering Rental of the Remodeled Guesthouse as of December 2023. Come enjoy the sanctuary and tranquility of Casa Las Nubes. Pura Vida!

Located in the southern portion of the Guanacaste province, a few minutes outside the village of Caimital and on the road to the seaside village of Samara, our home commands a breathtaking view of the valley below. Set on 5 & 1/2 acres of private property, you may enjoy the beauty and tranquility of nature, and have the convenience of nearby attractions and world class surfing. This stunning location allows for complete privacy in a lush tropical environment surrounded by natural beauty.

The Guest House, which is being offered for rent, is a separate residence of 1,100 sq ft, with private entrance just steps below the pool. The spacious central area of the house includes a full kitchen, dining room and living room, flanked by two comfortably furnished bedrooms. Each bedroom has a Queen mattress, air conditioning, ceiling fan, a private terrace and modern bathroom featuring open air showers.

Rental of the Guest House is only done to one party at a time, so you will have exclusive use of the property. As we our now retired, we may at times be in residence here. You may see us gardening and moving about, but the property is designed in such a way to allow privacy for our guests. We are always happy to assist any questions you may have - consider us your full-time concierge. Additionally we have a caretaker living at the base of the hill near the front gate to ensure your safety and to assist in maintaining the grounds.

There is a large, saltwater infinity pool ranging in depth from 3 feet to 7 feet, just a few steps from the guesthouse. Chaise lounge chairs are provided poolside for your comfort, and there is a shallow ledge lying beneath an inch of water designed to allow you to enjoy the sun while remaining cool. We have just finished construction of a beautiful cabana with swinging bed and table with seating for six, so you can enjoy your time outdoors while in the shade.

This property is amazing! Stunning views, comfortable lodging with every amenity, and a fabulous pool. We spent days lounging by the pool enjoying the gorgeous sunsets and being surprised with visits from various types wildlife. If that wasn't enough the hosts are fantastic. They are warm and inviting and very willing to share their Costa Rica stories.

The view from the pool is amazing! Great place to get away and spend time with loved ones. The house had everything you need to cook & enjoy nature. Danny was very helpful showing us around when we checked in and was quick to answer any questions we had.

Fun in the Clouds

We stayed with another couple in the guest home of Casa Las Nubes and it was absolutely perfect! The location, the ease of transportation, the view, the pool, the accommodations, and especially the hospitality were everything we had hoped for. Thank you to our hosts...we certainly hope to come back and stay again in the near future!

Nothing short of spectacular

I would recommend this to any group of 2-5 looking for a serene, nature immersed, and FUN trip. The hosts and groundskeepers are awesome, accommodating, and thoughtful. We didn’t have to lift a finger, the area had so much to enjoy that we were very happy to relax and enjoy the space, and sad to leave it.

What an enchanting home this is. We couldn't have been more fortunate to happened upon Casa Las Nubes. We stayed for 9 days and would have loved to stay longer. Perfect location for taking in the beauty of Costa Rica, but near many different resturant and tourist type attractions. Pictures don't come close to showing of the true beauty of this spot on Earth.

This is a property where you can stay and never leave. The house is an oasis that displays breathtaking nature day or night. It is also conveniently located near Samara, which has a fabulous beach. It is a perfect place to get away and find peace.

Fabulous safe place to stay.

Loved our home in the clouds! October is very rainy here. I am so glad we had a beautiful place to watch the weather. We were blessed to be here. Today we are headed to the Osa Peninsula. Danny the caretaker and his son were there to great us when returned from our excursions. They were fantastic.

Anniversary/Vacation

My husband and I recently traveled to Costa Rica to celebrate our anniversary. Casa Las Nubes was absolutely wonderful! The lush green vegetation and flowers were beautiful. Butterflies everywhere and the views were simply breathtaking. The guest house was very clean, modern, well decorated, and stocked with items to help accommodate our needs. The hosts and staff were warm and friendly and made us feel welcome the entire time. This was indeed one of the best vacations we have taken. We look forward to returning!

Heaven On Earth

While I obviously have no idea what heaven is like, I'd imagine it has to be something like "Home In The Clouds". I've been around the globe and this was the most relaxing, awe-inspiring vacation I've ever experienced. The hosts make you feel like so very appreciated and valued. The facility is modern, classy and comfortable. The grounds are breathtakingly beautiful. I truly did not want to return home. Loved everything about this booking. Can't wait to visit again!

Breathe Taking

I am a seasoned global traveler. I place this entire experience in my top 5! The property is beautiful. The guest house is perfect! The pool is INSANE. The views are magnificent. If you have any walking issues; bring your cane or walking sticks. There are stairs to navigate.

Fantastic home!!

My husband and I stayed at this incredible home in February. It was absolutely beautiful! Not only do you have the guest house (which was very nice!) but you also have access to the pool house which was fantastic! The best part of our whole trip was hanging out at the property. We were able to cook at the house most nights. The grocery store was not too far away. We also visited a beach near-by one afternoon. We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to Costa Rica!

We feel this is one of the most beautiful settings imaginable. The house sits atop the highest hill of the valley, so every room has an amazing view. We designed this home ourselves, and had it custom built to offer the best in modern comforts while respecting the environment.

Everyone that visits our home is amazed by the beauty of this setting. Truly, every direction you look provides a breathtaking views, the sounds of nature fill the air and the fragrance of flowers is everywhere. This location provides complete privacy and tranquility and yet is located within 15 minutes of a popular beach resort, waterfalls, horseback riding and all the adventures one can experience in tropical rainforest.
One of our guests was very kind to share the amazing photos of their visit with us, and many of these photos have been used on this listing.
