A perfect retreat for a small family, this OBX Rental Home offers three seperate bedrooms and a spacious great room for family gatherings. This rental home also features WiFi, an enclosed outside shower and picnic table, and a large yard for outside activities.

Being located in South Nags Head, this Outer Banks rental home is only minutes from sites like the Bodie Island Lighthouse, Oregon Inlet, and 4x4 beaches, while the main part of Nags Head offers a wide variety of restaurants, golf (including miniature golf), an outlet mall, and more!

** To keep rental costs down, this OBX home does not provide linens. However, a linen package can be provided for an extra fee. Please contact Cove Realty of Nags Head for more information on this home's linen rental package. Also, Cove Realty is a Green company that limits excessive waste.  As such, linens, toiletry items, cleaning supplies, and so forth, are not supplied at the rental home, so please be mindful to bring these with you or be ready to purchase upon arrival to the Outer Banks.

Cute quaint cottage beach cottage. Right down the street from the beach, close to shopping and restaurants. Visited the sand dunes and wild horse beaches. Family had a great time. A few changes could make the stay much better and more convenient for people visiting. Linen package did not have comforters, maybe bring a blanket or something to keep warm. Beds were not the most comfortable. WiFi didn’t work with passwords provided. No pot holders for pulling items out of the oven.

Cozy property

The property was smaller than I thought it would be. Could not stretch out on the couch to read as I like to do. Bathroom did not have space to lay out make-up, etc., while getting ready. Otherwise the property worked well for us.

The house was nice and cozy but it needs a serious upgrade. Bed was so uncomfortable,toilet wouldn't stop running, sliding doors was hard to open, chairs outside was broken, front door screen door was broke, under the kitchen sink was linking onto the floor, the walk to the beach was okay but one big hill u have to climb to get to beach , nags head beach was beautiful I would definitely NOT RENT THIS HOUSE AGAIN!!

Horrible beds but great being close to beach

Positives: Close to beach Fair price Had what you needed to get by Good water pressure with shower Outdoor shower Nightlight in bathroom Nice deck with chairs and table Pretty outdoor flowers Good AC Frogs Cat puzzle Negatives: Horrible beds where you can feel every spring and I’m only 140lbs. I felt beat up when I woke up. No vent in bathroom or kitchen Sticky hangers Uncomfortable couch Smelly kitchen cabinets No dishwasher Laundry room door lock rusted shut Only one cheap oven mit that burned my husband’s hand Poor seal on fridge door Thin windows where you can hear everything outside Thin carpet Dusty air ducts and fake plants Peeling paint especially in bathroom

Disappointing

We were switched from our original location because of an infestation? Were advised of this & offered 2 different locations. We wanted close to the water, so chose the one that was closest. Happened to be on Manteo, on the sound (sort of). Picked up our keys & looked forward to a nice relaxing week. When we got there, (hottest week of the season, so far), our condo was 80 plus degrees. Called the office, was asked many questions about breakers, etc.All we could tell them was that the AC wasn't working. Finally sent someone in the evening to look at it. He confirmed the unit had a leak & added more freon. This happened one other time during our stay & I guess more freon was added. In the meantime, neither bathroom doors would even shut, the latches wouldn't even meet. The front bedroom's carpet smelled like it had been wet, & had a very strong moldy/musty smell. The main bedroom carpet by the bed had a urine smell. The balcony/patio was so dangerous we didn't go out there, the loose carpet/rug? was a serious tripping hazard. Also, I assume it hadn't been cleaned in a long time, spider webs everywhere & two different pieces of underwear were left on a chair. Dirty blankets for the beds & the worst thing, our last day we expected to shop & go to the beach, someone decided they would replace the entire AC unit, so our last day was spent "babysitting" the air conditioner workers for about 8 hrs. Not a great way to celebrate our 50th Anniversary. Very disappointed

So uncomfortable

I dont know where to begin. I read the other reviews about the furniture being uncomfortable. I thought maybe they were being picky. Well they were so right. The furniture is horrible in this house. Under the house is by far the creepiest thing I have ever seen. The washing machine does not work. The kitchen is awful. The appliances are nasty and old. I wish you could upload photos on here. Everything just looked gross. The carpet is old and stained. The shower curtain is moldy. There is dust all over the vent return for the air. Im sure the filter needs to be changed. All the air vents are rusted. There are water marks and cracks in the ceilings. My husband killed 3 roaches in the kitchen. Im sure there is more we didnt see. The tv on top of the fridge is such an odd thing. Hard to watch tv with the family and no where comfortable to sit. So many improvements need to be made. I will never rent this house again. The only thing nice I can say about this place was the location was good and it had great water pressure. Thats it.

Clean But Outdated

The property needs updated. Everything is from the early 80s. The oven needs to be replaced. The repairs made to the house were poorly done. The bathroom floor is old vinyl.

STAY not good

mattress hard and pillows flat not good. didn't like wicker furniture or the loveseat. living room was all in one with dinning and kitchen too small. carpet in kitchen didn't like. the house looks like it falling apart outside up top all the way around. looks like mold on the vents in the bathroom. refrigerator wasn't clean in the bottom and around the top so it was sticking hard to open. tv was on the refrigerator glad i didn't have my grandkids there could fall. this place just a place to sleep not good.

Nice cottage on the private and by the public beach access

I liked everything about the cottage. It would be great to have an internet. The hassle with the trash pick up on Friday is a bit annoying. We arrived on Saturday and the trash container by the road was full. I wish the leasing agent kept an eye on this instead of the vacation rentee. The cottage has green tree frogs outdoors. They're cute and hang out in the outdoor shower. Frogs are safe for people. I googled them. At night, they sit on the cottage walls and eat bugs. We weren't bothered by insects at all! Food Lion was only 2 miles away. The other small shop, like a gas station version, was about 12 min on foot. On the same distance, there were an ice cream shop Fatzboy and Sam's & Ommie's restaurant that served breakfast, lunch and dinner. There was a pier bar and grill 2 miles away from the cottage, towards the mile post 18-19. The first week was windy and swimming wasn't allowed. The beach has many sand crabs. They're protected. Watching them is fine. Pelicans were cute. If you come early to the beach before 8:30am and the wind is calm you may see dolphins in the distance. OBX offers a lot of activities, take a drive to the southern end as far as it's comfortable. It has many wild life park refuges and hardly populated areas. To find out about the weather, don't watch the weather channel on tv. They don't talk about the OBX. It's the internal arrangement. The real estate agent told me. The best way to check what's going on is to check the magnet on the cottage fridge, go to the Dare county website, and check the wind on the cellphone weather app. If the wind is under 15 swimming will be most likely allowed. Lifeguards patrol the beach, so you can't be in the water if the red flags in the triangle shape are on. - I hope this is helpful. Thank you.

Not worth the money

Would not rent there again, mattresses were cheap and uncomfortable. Found place to be overall uncomfortable. Company who cleaned before we arrived did a horrible job, coffee pot had coffee grinds left in it and mold was growing in it

Very small but that was expected -

No WIFI we didn't read carefully enough and didn't realize there was no wifi. Other than that, it was a very nice trip and the place was fine!

Nice but uncomfortable

House was nice and cute easy access to the beach was awesome however the beds very uncomfortable and the wicker furniture very uncomfortable after long day at the beach hanging out swimming want to be able to come home and relax on some soft furniture and a nice bed that was in the case.
