Casa Olayh is a Private Home with a Beautiful Ocean View

This Mexican-designed casa lies nestled in a quiet nook at the end of a gated lane. It has a majectic view of the Pacific Ocean. Casa OLayh offers guests an ideal location just minutes from a beautiful expanse of tropical sand and surf. A ten-minute stroll leads to the village centre with its many shops, cantinas and cafes.
The main floor of the three storey casa boasts a fully equipped kitchen complete with a six-burner gas stove and a breakfast bar. The living room adjoins the main floor terrace where guests can lounge in comfort and enjoy meals at the terrace dining table while basking in the evening sun as it sets over the ocean. The master bedroom, with a carved, king-size bed has a writing corner with the same beautiful ocean view. The modern ensuite bathroom includes a jacuzzi tub, modern shower and ample closet space.
The upper floor has a second large bedroom with a king-size bed that can be conveniently separated into two beds. The bedroom has a modern ensuite bathroom. The greater part of the upper floor, covered by a palapa roof, has a small kitchenette, a bar, a built-in couch and a large lounging space - the perfect lounging room for you and for guests. The bamboo blinds can be raised letting in the cooling ocean breeze and giving guests a fabulous view of the ocean and surrounding hills. This second floor could be used as a private apartment if guests require privacy.
The third floor bedroom has a private balcony with a perfect ocean view. It has a fully equipped ensuite.
The Casa boasts a rooftop 'Sky Bar' with a breathtaking ocean vista.
On the ground level is a fully-equipped laundry room, and an outdoor lounging patio surrounding a large in-ground pool. The surrounding tropical garden with a seasonal creek features palms, bougainvilleas and a variety of other native plants.
Casa OLayh is the ideal vacation spot for an authentic Mexican experience with family or friends. The sun, the sand, the surf, the cuisine and the culture will keep bringing you back.

The amenities were working when we got there but the air conditioning was not working in one of the bedrooms and we were told to replace the batteries ourselves for the remote to get the air-conditioning to work. The filtered water tap stopped working half way and did not get fixed while we were there.

Great house for a vacation in Sayulita. The house functions almost as 3 separate hotel suites, each has its own door outside - so it is really great for a group hangout while maintaining some privacy. King beds in every room too which is something of a rarity. Pictures of the pool area speak for themselves. Really nice views from the upper floors as well.Property manager contact Omar was awesome and super responsive to any questions we had. He also had great suggestions on golf cart rental (recommended), tour excursions, and other activities around town.I have seen construction next door mentioned in other reviews, we were informed of this ahead of time and it honestly was not much of an issue. The guys working were all very respectful, and if you have been to Sayulita before - you know there is construction everywhere.Overall: awesome house for a fair price, would certainly stay here again.

Amazing House on the Hill

Our family had a fantastic stay at Casa Olayh. The house has everything needed for a great vacation. Although the house is up on the hill, we found the walk into town completely manageable and didnā€™t feel like we needed a golf cart. With all the plants and trees around, we saw numerous birds, butterflies, iguanas and coatis, a huge hit with our daughter. And the best part is the pool! We all agreed we would happily stay again on our next trip.

Great Vacation in Sayulita

We loved our stay at Casa Olayh! Weā€™ve stayed in Sayulita a few times as a family with teenagers and loved the quiet neighbourhood as well as the large bedrooms each with their own bathroom. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and the pool was the best weā€™ve had in a rental house. Property manager Omar was also awesome to deal with. Weā€™ll definitely be back!

Very Private with a Great View

My husband and I stayed at Casa Olayh with another couple. It was a perfect house for the 4 of us. We enjoyed hanging out in all of the common spaces- the roof top terrace, the second floor palapa, the first-floor dining area and the pool deck. The house is very private at the end of a street. The walk to the beach and town was pretty easy. There were plenty of good restaurants close by. We would definitely stay here again.

Great week!

We had a great in Casa Oā€™Lhay. The host was very responsif. The home was 10 min to the beach. And the beach in that aeria is more quiet than downtown. I would also suggest to rent a golf car. It makes the drive around town much easier. The house is located on the hill with a beautiful view and the surrounding is full of trees.Quiet and peaceful.Wifi worked great we were about 6 people and we had no problem connecting to the wifi.I definitely recommend Casa Oā€™Lhay :)

Wonderful Place to Stay!

This was such a lovely property. A really uniquely laid out house, with 3 levels, which made it fun, and gave everyone their own room, bathroom and balcony with a great view. The views are beautiful and we enjoyed the sunsets every evening. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The kitchen was nicely stocked with everything needed to cook. The pool was wonderful, situated with a view with the forest. We enjoyed staying on the hill, away from the busy downtown. We quite enjoyed the quieter neighborhood, cute restaurants and beach, right within a quick walk. We did have fun renting a golf cart and that made it quick, fun and easy to go anywhere we wanted. The owners and property manager were very welcoming and helped with anything we had questions about. I highly recommend. Staying in this house was one of the highlights of the trip - giving us a great place to relax!

Can't imagine how beautiful this is!

This house is AMAZING. I want to pick it up and move it to my back yard. Jan was attentive and responsive. Omar, the property manager was FANTASTIC charming and so quick to respond. A local, he had connections for anything we wanted. When there was an issue he responded immediately and got it handled. Not high in the hills but far enough up to be away from the noise of town. Walking distance to everything. We rented a cart especially because my mom is not super mobile on hills and rough terrain. Made zipping around town a breeze. This town is noisy and vibrant and growing SO fast. The pool was the best part. Some shade most of the day and just the right size and temperature. But the most fun part was that we figured out we could watch the sunset over the mountains three times if we ran up a level right after it set ;o)

The house was as advertised as far as pictures. We were only provided one towel each for a five night stay. When we requested one additional towel per person I was asked if there were eleven people. Our reservation was for six.There was construction happening outside the property. The owner knew and did not advise me. I would've cancelled because I came here to relax.The kitchen sponge was filthy. We had to add water to the dish soap because it was running out. We only cooked breakfast twice. So imagine if we cooked daily.The house paperwork indicates property would have cleaning service before our stay. Once during our stay and after checkout.We were advised housekeeping was not available.The road to the property is dirt and rocks which is fine but a heads up would've been nice.This was my first trip to Sayulita and the experience was not good. I'll return but not to this property.

Beautiful house, views, pool, and location. We loved our stay! Golf cart rental highly recommended since the road to the house is pretty steep. Perfect for people who donā€™t mind getting a little cardio in because the views and privacy is worth it!

Quiet, private and everything you need!

Worked great for our group. Everyone had space to move and have privacy. Good size pool for our group (7people). Amazing views from all levels. Was a good move to have a golf cart to get supplies and get around Sayulita if you like to explore. Great trip and if we go back to Sayulita, we would have a tough time picking different house. Bob

BEST MONTH OF OUR LIVES

We enjoyed our residence at Casa Olayh for the month of February. We loved the house! It easily accommodated our multi generational family. The mix of comfortable indoor bedrooms and inviting outdoor spaces was perfect. We swam in the pool multiple times each day. The kitchen was sufficient for cooking most of our meals in. We walked every where for the month- twice daily to the beach, to yoga classes at Hotelito de los Suenos Rose Room, and into town for grocery and craft shopping. The hill to the house and the stairs between floors made us stronger. The property manager Omar was always a helpful resource. We hope to return to this paradise. Incredible Views!! Refreshing infinity pool!!

Thanks, Jan, for sharing your beautiful Casa with us! We loved having breakfast on the rooftop each morning and never tired of the view. The refreshing pool was so nice for us to return to after a warm day of hiking, surfing and sightseeing. This was a great spot for our family to be reunited before the holidays!! Our family vacation

We had a wonderful vacation in Sayulita!!!! The house we had was very impressive and well maintained. Our grandchildren especially loved the infinity pool as did the adults. We were only minutes away from the main downtown area which we found was easily accessible by golf cart. The tips left by the owners was very helpful ie: eating recommendations , where purchase items. The staff was very professional and was there to help. All in all we would definitely book another visit and in fact are looking at 2020 for a monthšŸ˜Ž

Birthday celebration

We started at the Casa Olayh with 5 girlfriends for a week to celebrate a big birthday. It was truly a fabulous time. Love the pool and used it multiple times each day. The location of the casa was close enough to walk into town, yet we were up in the trees with great views. Like a little oasis. Very private. Thank You !!

Disappointed!

Casa Olayh was a huge property that met all our needs. Unfortunately itā€™s mosquito season and we could not deal with all the mosquito bites. My advice donā€™t book in the summer House is not mosquito protected. No screens on windows or doors.

My family could not stop commenting on what a special house this was. The design lends to multiple spaces where members can hang out and enjoy the breezes and view. The pool was extra special after a hike up the dusty road that was a real work out. A work out that was needed after all the great food and alcohol that was being consumed, so we really didn't complain. The lush landscaping really helped with shade and a feeling of being in a jungle, not in dried up brush which surrounds many of the hillside homes. Birds were a delight. Jan and Ramon were very helpful. We needed more drinking water and Ramon had it delivered in less than 10 minutes after our request. The pictures of the Casa are accurate. Very clean. Just fantastic.

My husband and I live in a country home situated on the Assiniboine River Valley on the Saskatchewan-Manitoba border in Canada. We enjoy travel, meeting people and learning about world cultures. Our two adult children and their partners have also traveled extensively. We have traveled together as a family to India, New Zealand, Australia, Europe and Mexico. Now, in semi-retirement, we have decided to purchase a home in Sayulita - a place where we could spend time together as a family or on our own.

We fell in love with the 'feel' of Sayulita. The intimate small-town atmosphere of the community is the perfect fit for us and our family. We are 'small-town' people who take much pleasure in the arts, sports and adventure. Sayulita and area offers all of that. The down-town market, the art galleries, the cafes and cantinas, the beach activities and the hiking possibilities excited us. The proximity to the Puerta Vallarta airport and the amenities of the city were also a draw for our family.
When we decided to look for a property there were two important prerequisites for us. One was the necessity of an ocean view. Perhaps this comes from being prairie folk who are accustomed to a 'big' view of the sky. The other was the privacy that Casa OLayh offers, with enough space to house six-eight people comfortably.
We think we have the perfect spot - tucked at the end of a quiet, gated lane with a wonderful ocean view and only a short stroll to downtown.

We were caught by the design of the casa and the Mexican 'feel' of the house from the colour of the walls to the Mexican tiled floors. The open concept of the main living area that spills over to the terrace to meld the interior with the exterior was what we were looking for.
The upper floor that could be a separate living space or just another storey in the house was just right for our family and we thought it would be 'just right' for other families too. The kitchenette allows the upper floor guests the opportunity for a private breakfast or dinner. The large palapa & lounge area is perfect for an afternoon or evening get-together.
We have decided to add an additional bedroom/bathroom to the Casa. Also, we are excited for the addition of a large in-ground pool.
